My Rush Thread
 

After much thought and procrastination, I have finally done it. I am currently going through an informal rush at MTSU. I had thought about joining a sorority since I started school here but always thought I was too busy. I am studying athletic training and we are required to put in so many hours per semester in the training room or with a sports team. I also work full time. I just didn't see how I could squeeze anything else in. Yet, I talked to some girls and there are a lot of girls here just like me. I just didn't know that. :D

Anyway, I am nervous about rush but I am also very excited. I love meeting new people and I have had so much fun so far. I am supposed to find out sometime in the upcoming week on rather or not I will be in. So, GOOD LUCK TO ME. :-)

MTSU has: ZTA, ChiO, KD, AXO, DZ, ADPi, AOII and Phi Chi.

I know ZTA made quota in the fall. I believe that there was only one group that didn't make quota of the NPC groups. I had been told they weren't planning to COB. But, I am always glad when someone potentially finds a Greek home. (And, of course, there may be some groups with wiggle room due to graduation.) So, good luck!

I am going for KD. They lost some girls due to graduation and had room for some. So, I will find out tonight how it goes...I will let you all know!! :D

:( Well, I did not hear anything on Monday night. That was when I was supposed to be told if I made it. So, I am just taking it with good thoughts and going to try again in the fall. It's just a bummer because I really wanted to go KD. Maybe next year will be better.:confused:

i'm sorry to hear that. i would guess that they had only a few spots open, so i am glad to hear that you are going to try again in the fall. you will be able to look at all of the sororities and get a better feel for all of the houses on your campus!

Did you go to a rush party there?? I must have missed something - were there some open parties that you attended?? Sorry it didn't work out.

It was not a party. We all got together and went out to dinner. It was like, after that night, I haven't heard anything from them. I have tried to email them to ask a question but no one will return my email or my call. I guess they are just busy. I think their Shamrock event is coming soon. Anyway, thank you all for wishing me luck. I will need it all again in the fall.
