My rush thread!!!!
 

Hi! I lurk around this site a lot, and am currently COB-ing a group here at Kent State. I like XYZ a lot and am really excited to get to know them.

I'll have to bring you all up to speed, cuz I've already been to 2 events so far:

* Event 1: Dinner in the food court! I feel like I was well received by the 3 girls that were there. We had some good laughs.

* Event 2: We went to the house and baked cookies for all the other sororities participating in Songfest this weeked (our version of All Greek Sing). We even decorated cute little cards to go w/ them.

Event #3 is this afternoon. Me and a few of the girls are going to a b-ball game!

I was just curious if you were looking into a national or a local? I go to school at Akron so it is nice to see a rush thread in the vicinity of my hometown! Good luck with all the activities that you go to. Do not let your ethnicity or your disability make you think that they don't want you. They are looking for a kind heart and a wonderful personality and it looks like you already have that! Don't worry and everything will turn out the way you want it to~!

Update:

OK, I went to the game. We lost :( . But, I met some more awesome sisters.

Overall, I think it went well. They said they enjoyed hanging out with me. The recruitment chair said she'd get back w/ me on Monday and let me know if I get a bid.

It's Sunday afternoon! I went to church today and had lunch w/ my friend!

Right now I'm trying not to stress over XYZ too much. It's hard not to completely analyze everything you said during COB. I'm trying to remain as neutral as possible. Not be all "doom and gloom" yet NOT: " OMG, XYZ loves me SO much I'm so getting a bid!"

Right now I'm just studying for my exams next week and taking it easy. Let the chips fall where they may!
