What's your favorite Sesame Street song?
"C is for Cookie" is one and the other is when they do a count for the number of the day.

i love the songs that teaches numbers. they always take me back. i still love sesame street. i am not ashamed!

I like when they did the Beetles as muppets (looked like bugs) and sung Letter B ("Let Her Be") That was cute. And Follow the Arrow.

Sesame Street has simultaneously taught me how to count and ruined my life.
To this day, whenever I'm counting out loud or in my head I sing "one two three FOUR five, six seven eight NINE ten, eleven tweeeelllllllllve". If any of you have heard this you know what I'm talking about. My all time favorite is Teeny Little Super Guy: "He's no bigger than your thumb: snap your fingers, here I come! Don't look in the sky, don't look in the sea, he's inside of you and me (kinda creepy) You can't tell a hero by his size, he's just a teeny little super guy. Oooohhhhhhh yeahhhhh." LOVE IT. Also- Cereal girl, sung to Madonna's Material Girl. |

I also like the Number Song. I may be thinking of some other PBS-esque show, but was there a song about Pinwheels? Because I vaguely remember one, but not the words or anything. I think it involved a bunch of kids on a playground or something playing with pinwheels.

I Don't Want To Live On The Moon sung by Ernie Well, I'd like to visit the moon On a rocketship high in the air. Yes, I'd like to visit the moon, But I don't think I'd like to live there. Though I'd like to look down at the earth From above, I'd miss all the places and people I love, So although I might like it for one afternoon, I don't want to live on the moon. I'd like to travel under the sea. I could meet all the fish everywhere. Yes, I'd travel under the sea, But I don't think I'd like to live there. Grover was my favorite so anything he sang was cool.
Didn't he have a song about being near and far? And remember when the owl with the jazz club had a show and they sang Birdland? Or was that in a movie? It's been a while obviously. I can't remember anything. But "Follow that Bird" was my absolute fav movie when I was a kid. |

My friend was obsessed with Elmo so she had all of the Elmo tapes... oh yeah we were in high school by the way. My fave, that I also heard at "123 Sesame Street Live" is "Imagination" and "La la la la, la la la la, Elmo's Song".

First of all, i LOVE all the songs that have already been posted! I will add the calypso version of the Rubber Duckie song. The chorus was something like:
