Another Useless Poll

Contacts or Glasses?

glasses for me. I'm too lazy to put on contacts.

honeychile 03-01-2004 10:48 AM

LASIK - no need for either after the surgery! :)

mu_agd 03-01-2004 10:59 AM

contacts.

OrigamiTulip 03-01-2004 11:17 AM

Contacts. I just got them again last week after a several year hiatus, and it is so much better than wearing glasses. I can't believe I went so long without them.

GeekyPenguin 03-01-2004 11:26 AM

Contacts! I hate not having periphial vision.

33girl 03-01-2004 11:50 AM

Contacts. Unless I've been up really really late. Then it's glasses.

xok85xo 03-01-2004 12:25 PM

glasses..

but i only wear them when i really need to see (like when i drive at night)

otherwise its nothing and everything is just a bit blurry :)

ZTAngel 03-01-2004 12:58 PM

Contacts unless I'm so tired in the morning that my eyes would hurt if I were to put them in (like today is a glasses day for me :) ).

PhiPsiRuss 03-01-2004 01:13 PM

Genetics. I have perfect eyesight.

Sister Havana 03-01-2004 01:18 PM

Contacts. I've had them since seventh grade. :D

breathesgelatin 03-01-2004 01:27 PM

Contacts

I look like butt in glasses

Rudey 03-01-2004 01:28 PM

Sport goggles.

cntryZTA5 03-01-2004 01:50 PM

Contacts....unless I'm too lazy to put them in. Last week I only wore glasses :D .

valkyrie 03-01-2004 01:53 PM

I wear both. I prefer contacts, but have some really cute glasses and I wear them at least twice a week. It's terribly dry here, and my eyes get irritated if I wear contacts too much.

Mr. valkyrie loves it when I wear glasses -- what's up with that?

kappaloo 03-01-2004 02:18 PM

Both.
Glasses for everyday (I spent enough on the frames dammit), and contacts for going out.

Unless I have a cold, allergies or its "that time of month" in which case its glasses regardless. I have sensitive eyes and wearing contacts when they are irratated is pure agony.

Katie_Bama 03-01-2004 02:18 PM

I usually wear contacts because of the convenience, but glasses make my blond hair not so blond.

sigtau305 03-01-2004 03:18 PM

Contacts

_Opi_ 03-02-2004 04:16 PM

Contacts. I have worn glasses in 4 years.

Kevin 03-02-2004 04:36 PM

Depends on the day.

chideltjen 03-02-2004 05:32 PM

glasses... my vision isn't that bad to make myself poke my eye out every morning.
Just when I drive at night is when i have issues.

adpialumcsuc 03-02-2004 08:13 PM

Both....I wear contacts during the day or when it is sunny and I want to wear my sunglasses and I wear my glasses at night and on the weekends.

Senusret I 03-02-2004 08:26 PM

Contacts during the day or for going out; glasses for around the house.

MeLikey 03-03-2004 12:07 AM

glasses... i wear them for driving... may get contacts eventually though, but i like my glasses

Hootie 03-03-2004 01:13 AM

Neither - I have excellent vision. However I'm sure someday that too will go, and I'll have to get glasses. I have issues with touching my eye, so I don't know how you all do it (barf). Though if I finally got over that, I'd love to get some colored contacts for fun!

Peaches-n-Cream 03-03-2004 01:32 AM

I have been wearing contacts since I was 15-1/2. I had worn glasses for the previous 14 years. There wasn't a wide selection of eyeglasses for 18 month old infants back in the 1970s.

Lil' Hannah 03-03-2004 10:14 AM

Mostly contacts, but I have some sweet sweet emo glasses that I'll wear on occasion.

CrimsonTide4 03-03-2004 10:22 AM

99% of the time I wear contacts. . . every now and again I will wear glasses. I just got some new ones last month.

xo_kathy 03-03-2004 11:03 AM

Contacts, though I finally got some cute glasses that I can wear in public when I'm tired and don't feel like putting in the contacts.

Amy - I don't do it the traditional look-at-your-finger-while-it-pokes-you-in-the-eye way. I have a less "invasive" way that I'll hook you up with when you finally need contacts on day! ;)

Dionysus 03-03-2004 12:22 PM

Ya four-eyed losers!

I can't see my hand in front of me w/o corrected vision, lol. I wear contacts about 70% of the time and glasses 30% of the time. I want the new kind of contacts that you can sleep in them up to 30 days or something. My previous pairs I could sleep in them up to 7 days. However, I was diagnosed w/ astigmatism (sp?) in my left eye. I need special contacts for that and they are not the type I can sleep in. :(

twhrider13 03-03-2004 01:58 PM

Contacts, usually, unless I'm just sitting at home. My vision is about 3 times worse in my left eye than my right eye, so glasses sometimes give me this weird double-vision effect...not good when you're driving and trying to guess which lane the other car is actually in! :p

Jadey28 03-03-2004 03:27 PM

Contacts. The glasses only come on after I've taken my contacts out at night.

DeltAlum 03-03-2004 03:46 PM

Glasses, but only the cheap kind you buy at the grocery store or pharmacy for reading only.

Ginger 03-03-2004 04:27 PM

glasses

I used to wear contacts, but my eyes would get irritated after a few hours. That was several years ago, though... perhaps with the new generation of longer-wearing contacts, it would be easier on my eyes.

Maybe I'll throw some Flex Spend money at them when I buy new frames this year!

Mr. Ginger, much like Mr. Valkyrie, also prefers the way I look in glasses.

MooseGirl 03-03-2004 08:24 PM

well i had glasses (grade 2 - end of HS)

then university brought on Contacts

then I graduated and got LASIK

so neither for me

justamom 03-04-2004 10:23 AM

Glasses when I drive or watch TV. Can't see things at a distance.

I NEED BIFOCALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hottytoddy 03-04-2004 10:37 AM

I wear contacts. I only wear glasses when i take my contacts out for the night and when I wake up in the morning. I don't see as well out of my glasses... I am wearing them now though...I need some new cuter ones...

dakareng 03-04-2004 05:53 PM

LASIK!!

I gave up the glasses/ contacts two yeas ago and have never regretted it!

justamom 03-04-2004 06:05 PM

OT- question on lasik surgery

Did you guys have your eyes done on seperate visits? Was it difficult to mend? If so, how long did the uncomfortable feeling last?

It kind of creeps me out just THINKING about it!

etahannah 03-04-2004 09:21 PM

contacts 90% of the time

my old glasses 10% of the time
