Least favorite song

What song just makes you cringe whenever you hear it?

Right now, for me, it's anything by Evanescence, Creed, Nickelback or Good Charlotte. I also can't stand "Unwell" by Matchbix 20.....never liked it to begin with and it got way overplayed.

honeychile 02-24-2004 12:14 AM

Hey There, Lonely Girl.

Anytime I hear that, I just want to open a vein. :p

Ooo honey you would not last in sacramento. :p The radio stations tend to play the same songs over and over again every hour on the hour. Every time Evanescence's "My Imortal" comes on the radio at work, I have to leave my office. The sad thing is that I used to LOVE that song.

I hear certain things in the gym and in clubs that just make me wonder who the heck would mix/write that? One popular one is a remix of 50 cent's "in da club"... the sample in the background is NIN's "Closer." It just sounds funny.

xok85xo 02-24-2004 12:22 AM

any song by no doubt or staind

33girl 02-24-2004 12:26 AM

currently

My Immortal by Evanescence, it wouldn't be so bad if I didn't hear it every five minutes no matter where I am.

Well that is about my list. PLus Christina A or Ms Spears just make my teeth grind.

I prefer metal/hard rock/goth anyday.

cutiepatootie 02-24-2004 12:57 AM

i forget wh the artist is but both songs from the 80s....

"aint nothing gonna break my stride" and "99 luft balloons"

Gina1201 02-24-2004 12:35 PM

Eamon's "F*&k It (I Don't Want You Back)"

MeLikey 02-24-2004 02:32 PM

Eagle Eyed Cherry-Save Tonight, don't know why, but it makes me cringe.

ThetaGrrl 02-24-2004 04:02 PM

I *refuse* to listen to any Colorado Springs radio stations, with the exception of the college one.

They ruin songs for me. Absolutly ruin them.

DWAlphaGam 02-24-2004 04:44 PM

Insane in the Membrane by Cypress Hill.

CutiePie2000 02-24-2004 04:55 PM

Songs that need to be banned from the universe for all eternity

Songs that you just can't stand

Amen to that. I also don't like that Linkin Park son ...the one that says "all I want to do is be more like me and be less like you."

and anything by Creed....

Sorry 2004.

Please, be gheyer. Did you even think what would happen when it's not 2004? What, My apologies, 2005? And do you think you can sing a song and that will just apologize in advance for the whole year? Or are you a horrible boyfriend every year so you do one apology per year??

I could keep going but I think it's evidently clear that this POS irritates every fiber of my being.

At least i am not the only one who thinks ruben studdard hit rock bottom with that song. What a lame song...

Celine Dion - My Heart Will Go On

SSS1365 02-24-2004 08:35 PM

I'm going to agree with that "Don't want you back" song, and "Sorry 2004." Also, anything by Jessica Simpson makes me want to stab out my eardrums. But my all-time least favorite song has got to be that one that goes "If you want me to stay I'll never leave... blah blah blah." Whoever sang that song has to be the worst singer on the face of the planet!

I saw the vid for this last night and all I could think of was "sorry I ate all the food in your house." I like chubby men but if you have your own zip code it might be a problem.

Lady Pi Phi 02-24-2004 10:07 PM

Slow Jamz.

I liked the song when it first came out. Now ever radio station is over playing it and I can't stand it.
Same with Stand Up by Ludacris.

ROFLMBO! That is hilarious! Good call, 33 & Jules -- I wasn't going to say it because then *someone* would be riding my a$$ that I was just sucking sour grapes because Clay "lost" yadayadayada. Hubby & I heard that song on Letterman one night, and hubby (who could usually care less about music) said "Sorry I sang this song" -- too cute.

Well, since I don't get to listen to music anymore -- outside of Barney's greatest hits, and the Spanish I for young ones CD -- I really couldn't say. (Of course if I ever am alone in the car, Clay is on the CD singing to me ;) )

But, let me add in that "Sumpshin to taalllk abouiit" by Fantasia would be a definite! Is it evil of me to wish that laryngytis (sp?) would set in permanently for her? Do I care? :evil laugh:

{Damn I need a life outside of AI!}

And who's to say I'm not, huh???!!!!

The nerve.

CardinalSM 02-25-2004 01:17 AM

I hate that song "I want you to want me". . . you know the one that has like 10 billion covers done on it. It makes me want to rip my hair out if I hear any version of it. That and "Girls Just Want to have Fun", every single social event this gets played and I HATE IT!

CatStarESP4 02-25-2004 01:39 AM

Anything by Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Backstreet Boys, N'SYNC and Marilyn Manson.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG i am giggling like a little claymate! HAHA.

alikat2 02-25-2004 03:19 AM

Sorry 2004 sucks. Also anything by Limp Bizkit (with *maybe* the exception of "My Way or the Highway)

As for overrated 80s songs, Dexy's Midnight Runners' "Come on Eileen" should never again be played.

Seriously. It's an awful song from an awful movie.

I also dislike all Linkin Park songs. They all sound exactly the same and they're all overplayed. I'll hear one song of theirs on the radio, then an hour later, I'll hear another one and think "dammit, they just played that song—oh wait, it's a different song that sounds exactly like the one they just played."

AXJules 02-25-2004 02:19 PM

To the sorry 2004 haters...

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I get irate when that comes on the radio, and everyone loves it here.
Peasants!!!

I forgot to mention that "I Knew I Loved You" song by Savage Garden. So cheesy.

_Opi_ 02-25-2004 04:46 PM

Right now, I cant STAND "this love" by maroon 5. Love them, but MTV sure knows how to kill songs!

Yes! I am serious. My freshman year, my friend & I used to think it was the funniest song ever and we did this funny dance while listening to it....it was funny.

alikat2 02-27-2004 02:16 PM

so many shitty songs

I HATE "Hey ya" by Outkast. The rest of the world seems to love it, though.

"Miss Independent" by Kelly Clarkson is annoying......loved it when it first came out and then the radio stations played it to death.

TheEpitome1920 06-24-2004 08:41 AM

Return of the Mack - not really sure who sings it but it makes my eye twitch.
