Secret Sisters!
 

Hey everyone? I think it might be about time for another secret sister event....what do you think?? Its been almost 6 months since the last one. Let me know your ideas and if we want to do it then we can get it together!

I didn't participate last time, as I joined Greekchat around the time y'all were revealing. But I'd love to do it this time--I think it's a cute idea!

Basically what we did was.....

Any DG on GC that wanted to participate posted that they wanted to (and also PMs their name and address to whoever is taking charge of it) and we set a deadline for that. Then after we have a group of women, someone (whoever wants to) organizes the pairs of women together and PMs everyone participating with the name and the address of the women she is sending things to. We send little things like T-shirts, homeade DG stuff, keychains, CDs, etc....

Gifts are then bought/made and sent by another deadline and everyone anxiously waits to see what they get and who it is from. No one knows who has them until their gift arrives. Its great fun and also a great way to get to know another DG GCer!

Hope I explained it ok.....anyone else can pop in if they want if I missed anything. You can also go back to the September Threads and find the last Secret Sister thread. ;)

um, let's go for next monday (that's a week)....
Name, address, status (collegiate or alumnae), any special requests (include t-shirt size if that's a request), and who you had last time (if you participated last time) so i can try my hardest to match up new people.....

6 so far, but I'm keeping who's actually contacted me a secret :-D You'll never know if they contacted me or just said they wanted to do it....the two lists are indeed different :-D

At least this way, for a bit, it might remain somewhat of a mystery :-)

hey, i'm new, but one of my chapter sisters told me about the secret sister thing. it sounds awesome! we are only a year and a half old and i'm a senior so i don't have much dg stuff, so is it too late to get in?

I have already sent my gift and I'm sure someone has gotten it. I haven't gotten anything though. When was the deadline for sending the stuff?

i dunno but my SS won't be getting it until after may 9th....i've been incredibly busy with student teaching and graduation!! but it'll be a good one, I promise!!

I got my gift (and it was tre cute)....I'm pretty sure who sent it :)
I'm sending mine out tomorrow--I've had it for a while, I just haven' t had time to get to the post office. Grad school has me so exhausted and worn that as I'm typing I'm wearing an "ace cast" because I have the makings of ligament damage in my right wrist! That's what I get for spending 4 hours a day on my computer typing!!! SS, I'm sorry! But I hope what you get is worth the wait...(hee hee)

I got my gift today!!! I LOVE IT!!! I can now say that I have a shirt from another chapter! YAY for my NCSU girls!! Thanks Beth!!
