Hey! Ever been arrested??
What'd you do? What was your punishment??
Let's see who's got stories to share. I have never been arrested. 2 speeding tix, that's about it. |
I once got "fake arrested". :)
My mom used to work as a registered nurse for the County Sheriff's Department. One year, when I was like 16 years old, my mom, sister, my best friend and I went to a Sheriff's Dept. BBQ picnic. It was a special fundraiser for a Deputy whose child had leukemia. Along with the food, they had a patrol car and a "jail booth" where you could pay $1 to have one of your friends arrested and put in the back of the patrol car for five minutes. My mom went off to talk to some coworkers and left my sister, friend and I all alone. A few minutes later, two deputies came walking out towards us. I said to my sister "I think they're coming to arrest us" and added jokingly, "if so, I'm not going nicely." They came up with the warrants for our arrest. My sister had a warrant for "Excess Flirtation on a College Campus" and my warrant was for "Impersonating the President of the United States of America". heheh at that time, Bush Sr. was the President and I could do a really funny President Bush voice. Anywaaaaayyy... my sister was happy to let a Deputy handcuff her with the fake little plastic handcuffs. :p I, on the other hand, wanted to make my Deputy work for his $1. I sprung up from my table and shouted "I'm not going!" (he knew I was being funny). So he chased me around the table for a couple of laps. Then he tried to grab me by the wrists and I still managed to get loose! He said he was impressed that I could get free as I was "quite strong" for a girl. He said he didn't want to handcuff me because he figured I'd probably break them. hehe... Since I was being difficult, he called for backup!! The other Deputy had to leave my sister in order to help the other guy wrangle me into submission. I figured I had given everyone enough excitement and I finally relented and went with them. When arrestees get to the patrol car, the Deputy will use the car's loudspeaker to announce your name and your offense. After announcing my sister and putting her in, he said "...and this is Kelly. She's been arrested for impersonating the President of the United States" . Everyone is now staring at me so I started doing my Bush impersonation saying "Not gonna do it....wouldn't be prudent..." etc. Then the Deputy said, "...and we're adding an additional five minutes for resisting arrest". Then people really started staring! lol. Ah well, we got revenge. We had my mom arrested for "Committing a Fashion Felony". :) Ok...so it wasn't a real arrest, but they were real officers and a real patrol car! ;) .....Kelly :) |
Never been arrested, but have had to bail out a few friends for DUI.
Been pulled over numerous times for speeding and other stuff, and have appeared in court to contest those offenses. Y'all don't need to know about those offenses. They were eventually thrown out of court. |
Uh uh, you lyin'!

I'd just rather not talk about it. |
Twice.
Once my freshman year for Possession of Stolen Property. A life ring off of a ferry in Galveston. It started as a prank with my HS buddies and ended with Crack Whores laughing at me. LONG story. The second time for driving my sister home from a party and we all got arrested for Minor in Possessions because there was half a case of beer in her Explorer. Passed the field sobriety test. I've never been arrested, but I do know what happens when you do (I worked with troubled kids on summer and we took a tour). It always suprises people when I can descibe what colour the walls are when you first are booked. (they're pastel pink, blue and yellow -it's supposed to be calming)

underage drinking ... 100 hours of community service (Habitat for Humanity Spring Break in St. Pete, Fla. took care of that) and $125 fine.

I've had my rights read to me, but never been handcuffed or taken to the police station.
This was in high school, and I was in the PX on the military base, just wandering around and wasting time. Ran into a girl I knew from a few classes, chatted for a little bit, all perfectly innocent. THEN some security guy made me come with him into the back room! I was mad, like "WHAT THE HELL???", and they wouldn't even tell me what I had supposedly done! The plainclothes MP (miltary police) was in the back, and she just read me my rights without telling me anything, letting me say anything, etc. It was all very scary for me: I was only 15. So they were trying to question me, already assuming that I was guilty and knew it, and would try to hide it. Took me a while to even figure out what they thought I had done! Apparently that girl I had chatted with was known for shoplifting and they automatically thought I was shoplifting too, since I talked to her. At this point I started getting really mad and b*tchy, since I hadn't done anything and I knew it. They gave me a form where I had to write my "confession" so I wrote them a nice little scathing essay on how it's generally a good idea to actually SEE someone shoplifting before you try to arrest them for it. They searched my stuff and found nothing, realized their mistake and started getting really embarrassed and apologetic. Then my parents showed up, and they were really mad. The MPs very quickly let me go with lots of apologies on their part. And that's why I hate MPs and stupid people who have zero powers of observation. |
No, Thank Goodness!
I worked in the county jail (booking & on the main floors) so I know what the drill is (I refuse to bend over and cough butt naked for no one) Yikes. Edited to clarify. |

1st time, got nailed on a possesion charge for X. Got out of it on an illegal search and seizure. I had an excellent attorney. 2nd time, battery. Me and a friend of mine were driving back from a club in downtown Gainesville all drunk and we saw 4 guys beating down 2 other guys we knew. We pulled over and jumped into the fight. I cracked a guy over the head with a mag light and split his shit. After it was all done we dipped out but one of the guys got my tag #, it says "Fatal". 2 days later 2 cops came to our apt and arrested us. I got out of it only because everyone agreed to drop the charges if everyone else dropped the charges. The 2 friends that were getting jumped dropped the charges against the 4 guys and so the other guys dropped the charges against us 2. Fortunately I have no DUIs and havent had a traffic citation in over 3 years. |

Arrested!
Okayyy heres my arrest story...
I was probably 16-17 and stupid... I had obtained a fake id, a fake college id and a fake medical card and felt that I was on top of the world... I ignorantly thought I could go anywhere and buy whatever I wanted... Whenever I wanted... Nope. I had been using it for a few weeks... Whipping it out whenever I needed at the nearest gas station... I was leaving a friend's party to head to another when my friend calls and asks me to pick up a 12-pack and a couple other things... I think.. Sure! (I needed to stock up as well) ... So I head to a fairly small Break Time on the way.. Bad move. Young, unexperienced casheer... I sensed no danger. So i walk up to the counter to pay for my stuff when I realize that a Police Officer is now walking towards me... He asks to see my drivers license... "Sure," I say.. Handing it to him... I also show him my other forms of ID to try and convince him... Without even bothering to inspect the id or take notice to the flawless holograms, he goes straight to radioing my DL # in... BUSTED.. the number on my ID came back as some 50 year old woman named alberta... Dammit. Needless to say, my IDs were taken, I was cuffed and taken off to a holding cell... Spent about an hour in there, got fingerprinted and was sent home with 3 fines... I figured I'd never be allowed out of the house again, so I went off to the party which I had planned to go in the first place.. After calming my head a little bit with the support of friends, I went home... Parents were awkwardly silent... They took it rather well, I thought. I was grounded for a while... I ended up having to go to court... Paid $200 for a lawyer who got 2 of my charges dropped and I chose to pay another $350 fine and have 'fake id' on my record as a city violation.. (less than a misdemeanor) Shocking experience.. I feel I have learned much.. Even though the lesson I have learned may have not been the right one... I still buy alcohol and still have fakes... But I have learned... Never NEVER go to a break time... they hire off-duty cops and depends on your states laws, can nail you with up to a felony for using a fake... If you're as stupid as I am, and absolutely must use one... Take my advice... Be discrete... Find a place where you know you can buy... Let them become familiar with you and stay there... Thats the only way to do it... Take it easy, -Matt |
where should i start.
well the first time i was 18 and in the samari sakki house, oh and i was plastered beyond belief. i recieved a MIP and got to visit the drunk tank. then a few months later i got stopped doing 150mph in a 55mph zone "i used to drive a mustang cobra" not any more. i was sober but i had a lot of underage drunks in my car and so i had another MIP and an open container, and stuff of that nature, not to mention the reckless driving and stuff like that. then i got arrested in texas while visiting south padre with my friends, i got a public intox, and public indecency. and i never showed up for my court date. so while driving to see my x girlfriends parents in dallas, i recieved a speeding ticket, completely forgeting about the padre thing and i got arrested for an outstanding warrant. then while in edmond i was arrested for public intox at a bowling alley. i slid headfirst down the lane right in front of a police officer. since then i have been good and corrected my ways. i have become an old man. :(

I have never been arrested. I have known men who have been arrested in NYC and had to spend the weekend in the Tombs. Believe me, from what I have heard, you don't want to get arrested in New York City.
