A step for me in my fraternal experience..
 

It is with great excitement that today, I have accepted the position of the chapter advisor of the new Lambda Chi Alpha colony at the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW). The fraternity was very persuasive in their efforts to recruit me for the position. I had never seen myself as advisor material, but the fraternity staff, my brothers and KillarnyRose, Tom Earp, justamom and LXAAlum were more than confident in my ability to do the job. I am thankful and humbled by their faith in me.

This is a great opportunity and I am honored the fraternity chose me for the position. The challenges are many. I have no experience with colonies. I am fortunate that there is a tremendous Alumni Advisory board set up and a strong Alumni Association here in the city. While I do not know how long of a commitment I can make to these men, I hope that while I am their chapter advisor, both they and I can grow from the experience. I look forward to the journey ahead.

I've never met you in person but have of course read many of your posts during my time on GreekChat. I know people think they have an idea of what a person is like throught their posts - perhaps that's true, perhaps not. But in the spirit of that idea, I have no doubt you'll be an amazing asset to the colony at UIW.
You'll make them proud of you.

Congratulations w/ becoming CA. Over the years you've been a genuine friend and my biggest cheerleader. All of us here at GC value you so much for your insight and for who you are, and I'm so glad that you'll be able to pass it on to a chapter filled with your brothers.

A colony? Be prepared for a lot of work and a lot of covering new ground.

Our advisors did a lot for us helping my chapter get off the ground. I'm sure they had a great experience though.

We just colonized our Nu colony at UIW with 25 amazing ladies. We had 100% acceptance rate on bids! UIW is an awesome place and the men should feel lucky to have a dedicated colony advisor like you. Although the system is just beginning there, you should be happy to know there is tremendous university support!
