Our song = Rachel Farrell and Will Downing's "Nothing has ever felt this good" (there wasn't a soul in the place that wasn't lip syncing the words, it is truly deep)

My bouquet toss = Natalie Cole's "This will be an everlasting love" (Folks still tell me how memorable I was dancing and teasing the eligible ladies with my bouquet)

Convinced....That was tooo funny.

My friend asked me that a while back and I was like all the songs that are out now will probably be golden classics by then!!!

I agree 108% with Speckle...Will and Rachel's song is a wonderful choice...

I've been planning my wedding practically my whole life, and over the years I've come up with a lot of songs I'll probably use.

For You-Kenny Lattimore (for the candle lighting ceremony during the mass)

I'll Be-Edwin McCain (for the first dance)

and my fiance jokingly says that we'll probably use Margaritaville by Jimmy Buffet because it's considered one of our "songs".

Also something else-I wanted to give wedding CDs as favors to our guests instead of the traditional thank you card. It'll be tough, but since CD burners have been so wonderful we thought it'd be nice to do. If anyone has suggestions for any other songs, let me know!

My wedding song was "forever mine" by the O'Jays. Our Cut the cake song was "Always" by Atlantic Starr which was "our song" in college (dating myself big time http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif) I threw my bouquet to the "hey song" they play at ball games and he got my garter to "Let's get it on" by Marvin Gaye.

I went to a ghetto fabulous wedding where the bride and groom marched in (or pimped in) to "don't wanna be a playa no more"

My cousin and her husband danced their first dance to "Nothing has ever felt this good" by Rachelle and Will. I am only 25 years old but I stand by Stevie's Classic "Ribbon in the Sky". I will have my girls marching down the aisle to it http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

OH, the Song I want to use while I am presenting my mother and my future mother-n-law with their bouquet of flowers, etc. is...."Wind Beneath my Wings". It's so beautiful.

I have seen this done right AFTER the bride and groom sign the license, light the unity candle, then they go over to each parent and present them (mothers) / greet them, then after that is the DECLARATION, etc. etc.

I better stop before I give out all my ideas...LOL

I am feeling you Soror Akatude. My favorite is My Love Sweet Love by Patti LaBell. I think I will probably sing Together With Jesus We Can Make It. I hope my "Good Thang" can sing too. It would be nice to sing a love ballad together. If he cannot sing well, we will just have to do our duet thang later on that night. Let me stop I am about to be naughty!

The songs I would choose for my wedding provided my family would not drive me insane and straight to Elvis Prsley's "Hunk of Burnin' Love" would be "moments in love" by The Art of Noise for the walk down to the alter and for our first dance would be "Endless Love" or "My First Love" However I do not know the artists' names.

I haven't really though about it but that Maxwell song "the proposal song" and you can't go wrong with "If this world was mine" by Luther.

I am getting married March 10th 2001. I will come down the aisle to "You and I" by Obrien. We will also be serenaded with "Open Up My Heart" by Yolonda Adams. We have not settled on the other songs (I guess that I better hurry up!!!), but the songs on our "possible list" are mostly "old school." We even hired an old school band for the reception.

I always sing Til I Found You in weddings. It is very beautiful. I would love for my man or someone to sing Just Be My Lady. It's an oldie but a goodie. I can't remember who it is by. There's another wedding song by a husband and wife team. I think the name of the family is Nicholas. I forgot the name of the song. Let me go pull out the albums.
