Columbus awaits.....
I just wanted to tell all of you how excited I am because.......
I was offered an interview today as a CDC!!!!! I get to travel to Columbus the weekend of Feb 28 (the same weekend of Recruitment and Finance Seminars) for my interview. I still need to call Tracey back to get specifics since I didn't get her message until 5 and she wanted me to call before 4. But yea so anyways....thanks to all of you for crossing your fingers for me....but now cross them again in hopes that I get the job!! ;) |
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!

Yippy! :D

Congrats! I know that one of my sisters applied as well--although I just talked to her and she said that she hasn't heard anything yet. I hope it works out for both of you.

Yeah great news!

Alright girls.....I'm going to be gone for 3 days....its the big interview weekend....!
I'm going down tonight to see one of my pledge sisters and friends from home and then tomorrow starts it all. I can't wait!! I'm hoping for the best! See you all when I get back and I should know by Tuesday....but I might not say anything till Friday because I want to surprise all my sisters if I get it at our Greek Recognition Banquet that night. So....we'll see ;) LITB! Andrea |
Andrea!! I'm crossing all my fingers, toes, arms, lets, strands of hair - everything I can find to cross! I'm so excited for you! I know you'll do great! You are such a great sister and friend! You have meant so much to me through out my DG journey - I don't know what I would have done with out you during my mother's death! The Eta Chapter brought me, a stranger, yet a sister, into their arms and treated me like I had been there the whole time! Thank you so much for it all!! You deserve this and I really hope it turns out however you would like it to!
Even if you keep it a secret from your chapter sisters, you'll PM me, right? Love, CJ |

Congratulations!! I was at Columbus this weekend also, for the financial track with our VP:finance. You are definitley correct about everyone from EO and all the advisers and consultants being wonderful people. I am not sure if you are one of the CDC's that was there for interview that I did meet or not, but all that I did were some of the nicest people I had met. Goodluck with your process, maybe next year you could be visiting our chapter!

well ladies....
Tracey called me today and unfortunately I was not one chosen to be a CDC next year. I'm bummed but there were 18 awesome women other than me so I am just happy that I got the experience to at least interview and also to meet more fabulous DGs. On another note, I went to a career fair on campus today and had 8 interviews with schools. I was offered an early contract by one but I didn't know about DG yet so I didn't fully accept it. So CJ....I want to know as much as you can tell me about Wake County Schools because I might end up there if I decide to take it. But there is the news.....I wish that it would have been happier than it is :( |
Oh hun, I'm sorry you didn't make it!
But the good news is that I can tell you OODLES about Wake County Schools because that's where I am!!! What all things are you looking to know... |
Whatever you can tell me......
What the schools are like, the cost of living down there, what the surrounding areas are like, etc. |
I don't even know you, and my heart dropped a little when I read your thread about not being chosen. I'm so sorry! I had wanted to apply, but I figured they didn't want anyone from a closed chapter to do it, so I was living vicariously through you!

But anyways....while we're talking about living vicariously, I just found out tonight that my friend Rob will be traveling as a Field Secretary for Phi Gamma Delta....so now I can live vicariously through him! |
Yeah, one of my friends is going to be a traveling consultant for Delta Zeta. She totally deserved it... she was president as a sophomore, and then served 2 terms. She's a great girl, so I was really happy when I found out she got to go.
