Greek Letters in my signature?
How do I do that?
and What colors are available (the names that actually work!)? |
I am interested to do that also :)
|
Check a similar current thread in the chitchat forum (same thread creator) BabyP, where details are given. The signature is added in via the options section of the user control panel. Also this link.

Hi Ladies,
I know you're new...welcome to GreekChat! We frequently have new people asking "How do I make a signature?", "How do I change colors in my signature?" and so on. After a while, regular members start to get tired of answering the same questions over and over again. Sometimes new people get rude responses from regulars for asking a question like the one you have. I'd just like to let you know that GC has a search feature which can help you find the answers to many questions which have been asked countless times before. The "search" button is located in the navigation area at the upper right area of the screen (second button from the left). Okie dokie? I just don't want you to get yelled at for not knowing.... .....Kelly :) |
Also a very good thread about making signatures:

Checkin if mine works too...
guess not :) |
HollisterDXiChi, you need to remove the spaces from your codes.
|
I'll try again...thanx
|
okay, here goes..
|
okay...something is till wrong...
|
It looks like there is still a space after "/color" and before the closing bracket. Remove that space and see if that helps. Check the same thing on "/font" as well.

I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to do, but try doing (font=symbol)(color=whatever)DZX(/font)(/color) (color=whatever)Delta Zeta Xi until I die(/color) replacing all the ( with [ and then ) with ]. |
Thanks! It was the space :)

[font=symbol][color=darkred]fkt

phamason2003, welcome to GreekChat.
You're close to having the signature code correct, but you also need to complete the tags at the other end. In other words, for every time you use font=symbol in those square brackets and then put the text that you want to have displayed in that font, you must then close the tag to with /font between square brackets or /color etc etc. The signature code of course goes in the relevant section of the options in the user control panel. If you get stuck further help is available in the threads linked to a few posts up from yours in this thread. :) |
Hi seeing I'm not sure what I did to my signature so that the random code stuff comes up before what I want it to say, I tried figuring it out as to fix it and don't know what I did wrong, if anyone could please tell me so I don't have a goofy looking signature thing, that would be appreciated, thanks. I'm not very good when it comes to computer stuff like coding and what not.

raiderchic482,
You're halfway there, you just need to close the tags. For instance, where you have (size=3) followed by your "Alpha Delta Pi ee Chapter Texas Tech" text, you need to tell it okay done with the size instructions now activate it so it shows up as size 3. By that, I mean every time you use a tag like (size=3) followed by text you need to put (/size) at the end of the text you want resized. The /size bit closes the tag/activates it and all of your tags color=, size=, font= etc all need to be closed with /tagcode [in square brackets of course]. Also, though I've used curly ( ) brackets above in my post just for instruction purposes; just use only the square ones as you have in your post, you were correct. Final thing you need to do it remove the quotation marks "" in your color tag as you just need the color name. For further assistance read the threads linked to on page one of this thread, they're pretty helpful. |
Thank you so much decadence I figured it out ! :)
