Pray - Alpha Phi
 

This Friday night one of the sisters in Alpha Phi here at GWU passed away. The greek community here is shocked beyond belief. My prayers go out to the Alpha Phis and the girl's family.

Edit: Suicide was the cause, I go to GW and it has been released as such.

edited by moderator as the investigation into this tragedy is ongoing and the cause of death is as yet unknown.

My prayers go out to all who know and love this young woman.

My thoughts and prayers are with this young woman, her family, and all of her sisters.

that is so sad. i will be keeping her family and friends in my thoughts. it has been a terrible weekend for the greek world.

I hate posts like this - things like this just shouldn't happen, especially to good people like I'm sure she is. Again, my thoughts and prayers go out to everyone effected.

One of my sorority sisters dropped out of school and committed suicide a few months later - so much less was known about depression back then.

Her rabbi was wonderful, and told her parents and everyone at the memorial service: "don't blame yourselves for not knowing what was going on in Dori's heart - that's playing Godd. Only God knews what was really in her heart."

I think that gave her parents some degree of comfort, and I hope the Alpha Phis will also realize you can never know what is going on in someone's heart.

Oh how sad. My thoughts and prayers go out to my sisters as GWU and her family. GWU is our newest chapter and i know that is a shock to the entire chapter.
