What is your area of "expertise"?

Is there anything that your friends seek you out for in order to get "expert" advice?
A couple of threads got me thinking that surely everyone has intimate knowledge in SOME area be it relationships, gardening,
law or attire. Can you please state your talent and then we can know who to ask for advice?
If you are multi-talented, that's even better!!!:D

Yeah, I am a Harry Potter freak. I can't wait to the next movie comes out and then I can discuss how much or little they changed.

Other then that I have to "expertise"

* Making a darn good cup of coffee - I never thought this was hard, but there's a surprising amount of lousy coffee out there.

* Random trivia about the University of Florida - I spent a year running the campus tour program - i.e., Bob Vila (the "This Old House" guy) flunked out of our College of Architecture, and then went into Building Construction - looks like that was a good move for him!

* Spelling and grammar - I'm a serious dork with this stuff. Won the spelling bee at my middle school two years in a row. Perfect verbal on the SAT. I actually like all those little obscure rules, like the difference between "that" and "which." Yep, I am a big, big, BIG dork. :D

*"Friends" - I have seen EVERY episode so far from the last 10 seasons. I know a surprising amount of weird, random stuff about this show. (i.e., names of episodes, I can usually tell what season it is just by everyone's haircuts, etc.) I am somewhat traumatized that the show is ending in May.

* Baking cookies - My PB-choc chip cookies are incredible. They're the only reason I have any friends. j/k! But anytime I move, I always make sure to make a batch right away and knock on my new neighbors' doors. :)

* I know how to program my VCR!

Rudey 02-07-2004 03:05 PM

Do you reall do that?

-Rudey

Yep. But I'm introducing myself as "Hi, I'm _____, I live in apt. # ___, I just moved here." So if they get food poisoning they know where to send the lawsuit. ;)

Actually, the last few times I've offered cookies to new neighbors I had already met them by the time I got around to baking. So it wasn't like they were having a complete stranger offer them cookies.
