Survivor: All Stars

Starts tonight! Anyone else going to watch?

Sister Havana 02-01-2004 01:50 PM

ME!

Any show that brings back Colby is fine with me. :D
(Plus I am a survivor addict!)

AOIIalum 02-01-2004 01:56 PM

Me too! I tried to avoid Survivor, but last season I got sucked in. Now I'm hooked :)

AXO_MOM_3 02-01-2004 02:54 PM

I'll be watching! Great eye candy!

AlphaSigOU 02-01-2004 05:06 PM

AGDee 02-02-2004 12:03 AM

Is it ever going to start or is this post game show junk gonna go on all night?????

Dee

Cluey 02-02-2004 12:15 AM

I'm going to watch it. While I enjoy Colby, I also enjoy watching Ethan. I think it's his curly hair and the fact that he isn't completely retarded ;)

tinydancer 02-02-2004 12:30 AM

OK, I really did not need to see big ole pasty Richard in the altogether......

Peaches-n-Cream 02-02-2004 12:33 AM

Who is on this show? I don't recognize them.

kappaloo 02-02-2004 01:22 AM

omg, that was sooo good.

Survivor is sooo like heroin. You can quit for awhile, but all you need is a hit to get back on the bandwagon.

I loooove Richard. He's sooo easy to hate! He's so egotisitical and arrogant. It's delicious!

Do you think that the winners will go first as a rule?

I love Ethan, so I am hoping that they do not.

Tonight's episode was good, but I'm still upset. I wouldn't have voted Tina out so early. Personally, I can't stand Jerri, so she would have been my first choice to go.

AXO_MOM_3 02-02-2004 02:02 AM

I figured since Jenna was the first to open her mouth, she would be the first to go. Hate it was Tina, so glad it was not Ethan (such a hottie!). So what is up with Richard knowing how to make fire and not doing it? (I only caught bits and pieces of the first Survivor - can he really make the fire?)

Sister Havana 02-02-2004 02:29 AM

Nope. Gretchen and B.B. made fire quickly, they used B.B.'s eyeglasses. (Thanks to Television without Pity for jogging my memory.)

Colby, hot as always. :D I want to see more of him!

Clockwork08 02-02-2004 07:07 AM

I wish they didn't let winners on the All-stars, give the other people a chance(Jenna is so right!) I am happy that Tina was the first to go, b/c she was soo underhanded in Austraila (under a guise of innocence)

Unregistered- 02-02-2004 07:21 AM

I was also sad to see Tina go because they need someone like her in any team. I liked her attitude when she first said that she wasn't in it for the money.

I'm kind of nervous to see sister Amber form an alliance so quickly with that one Rob. I guess it's hard for her to NOT make alliances wit troublemakers. I didn't watch the Survivor when he was on, but I have this gut feeling that he'll be a potential troublemaker.

DWAlphaGam 02-02-2004 10:00 AM

I fell asleep last night at the end of the superbowl and woke up right when Survivor was over. :( I'll watch it from now on, though.

dzandiloo 02-02-2004 11:28 AM

This season is gonna be great!
1. Why didn't Cathy use her glasses to start a fire? Even my 8 year old son knows if you put a piece of glass under direct sunlight on flammable material, it will ignite eventually. With alot less physical exertion that rubbing wood together, I might add. ETA: maybe they are plastic lenses, though...so maybe that makes a difference?

2. I think it sucks the winners are going to be picked off systematically at the beginning. If I was playing, I'd want a winner with me in the top 2, b/c what are the chances the jury will vote for the winner a second time (Ethan tried to make that point to Jenna L). BTW-Jenna L is the reason their tribe lost. Did you see her lazy arse riding on top of the raft w/the torch in her hand? That's what slowed them down. Hey Jenna-put the dang thing back in its holder & help everyone else kick.

3. My dream top 2 is Rudy & Rupert or one of them with Colby (did anyone see his Gilette commercial during the game?).

They are dragging this thing out until May! Ugh. Off to the spoiler sites...

They are replaying the first episode on Tuesday night at 8 pm EST.

ADPiSAI 02-02-2004 12:44 PM

This is going to be good...

I'm kind of indifferent as to how the voting went last night.
I was, however, annoyed that whatever team Richard is on didn't lose because I really was hoping that I wouldn't have to deal with another second of him.

dzandiloo, I was thinking the same thing about the glasses starting the fire!

adpialumcsuc 02-02-2004 05:22 PM

I didn't think I was going to like this one but I am kind of enjoying it so far. I really don't think Rudy is going to make it very far. The previews of next weeks make it look like he is having a hard time. I do think it would be great to see him win but with all those youngsters around he may not have a chance.
i sure hope when I am 75ish I can do all the things he can.

Why am I not remembering Alicia? Was she on for very long?

Yeah but I feel asleep right before the tribal council and woke up to late news and was like...aw man, what did i miss?? sucked big time.

Sister Havana 02-05-2004 10:09 PM

I love it...Ethan tries to fish and gets nothing, then Rupert goes out for five minutes and gets a fish!

And when Colby said "I think Rich wants everyone to be naked but that's not going to happen," was I the only one disappointed? I would not mind seeing naked Colby. :D

Why are you always falling asleep during shows? I think this is the 100th time :p

DWAlphaGam 02-06-2004 11:30 AM

I'm such a loser. I fall asleep at like 10:30 and I wake up at the crack of dawn. That's what happens when you're a grown-up, I guess.

I decided to watch Friends instead of Survivor. Who got kicked off last night?

AGDee 02-06-2004 12:13 PM

Rudy.. he was having a hard time physically but never complained about it or anything.

ADPiSAI 02-06-2004 12:19 PM

I thought it was amazing that he's 75 years old, but was still out there doing all that stuff.
I hope I can do even half of the stuff that he does when I'm 75.

kappaloo 02-07-2004 02:10 PM

I agree... Rudy rocks. They made a stupid decision by voting him off. They should have voted off Jenna. She's waaay to whiny/schemy.

cutiepatootie 02-07-2004 02:13 PM

Rudy rocked! to get out there and be 75 doing all that physical stuff...more power to him!

Now the comment made about seeing colby in the buff like richard....HELL YEAH!:D

polarpi 02-13-2004 05:26 PM

Now I'll admit I'm not a *huge* Jenna M fan, but watching last night's episode, I started crying when she made the decision to leave the game and be with her mom. I'm glad to hear she was able to make it home in time to be with her mother as she passed away....there is something to be said for the bond between a mother and a daughter.

Chapera and Mogo Mogo did awesome jobs on building their shelters...I was surprised that Saboga didn't do a good job at all!

Lady Pi Phi 02-13-2004 05:33 PM

While I felt bad for Jenna. I was a little shocked that she made the decision to leave her dying mother in the first place. There is no amount of money in the world that would make me leave a dying family member.
But I am glad to hear that she made it home in time and was able to spend the last few days at her mothers side. It was very sad to hear that her mother had passed away.
I also found it a strange and shocking that big Tom said, even if his entire family had passed away in car crash he wouldn't leave the game to go home for the funeral, because his family would want him to continue playing.

I'm not surprised at all, actually. Tom's an older guy, and he's probably already lost people in his family (grandparents, I'm sure, and likely parents/in-laws or cousins or other relatives). He's also going into the game not expecting anything bad to happen. Because of that, it's easy for him to say "I've made this particular committment, and I will see it through."

Not knowing what stage Jenna's mother was at when Jenna had to decide to go back, I can't really judge her. If things were looking up and Jenna was torn and her mother told her it was okay to leave and to follow her dream of challenging herself in the game, then that's between the two of them. I think we can all say that we have made mistakes in life, or done things we want to change. Jenna was able to go home when she felt she wanted to and needed to, and that's what truly matters.

Sister Havana 02-26-2004 10:20 PM
