Rush Again....
 

Hello Greek Community,
Spring rush is upon me, this week a local glo is having their spring rush, tonight I went to the info. meeting , they seem really nice, and laid back which I loved. Tomorrow they have another open event, and then thursday and friday are invite only events. I find out this thursday at the info. mtg. which panhellenic sororites are having informal rush, and informal rush starts next monday. I keep you guys posted. :) I'm very excited !

Good Luck, Raiderchic! I hope your spring rush experience is fruitful! I advised a local at Tech a couple of years ago (when it was founded) & they were great girls! It was surprising to me how strong the non-NPC groups at Tech are (are there still just 2 Christian locals & 1 social?). Keep us posted!

I got back from the event with the local sorority tonight, I had such a fun time. I didn't have as much of a chance to talk with the girls in the sorority.... but I'll see how it goes. I should be getting a call tonight to find out if I'm invited to tomorrows event. :) I'm anxiously awaiting...

Well no call backs from the local, but i'm still pushing forward and not focusing on the past and in a little bit I'll find out about the events for next weeks panhellenic informal rush and who is participating in it. I'll post as soon as I get back from the info. session.

There are two sororites that are having informal recruitment events this coming week, and four overall participating in cob for the spring semester. They are Alpha Delta Pi, Alpha Phi, Delta Gamma, and Kappa Delta. I'm so excited and can't wait for monday! I'll be using code names for the two having events this next coming week. I figure because I love horses... I'll do the Appaloosas and the Clydesdales.

My impressions so far of the groups having cob events are as follows. With the Clydesdales and the Appaloosas I have about equal views on them , eventhough I know more about the Appaloosas, I know girls in both groups. From my standpoint now before informal I would say I'm equally excited about how things will go with me for both groups. As for the Missourri Fox Trotters, and the Pintos, I don't really know anyone, know anyone in either sorority. I know more about the Pintos seeing I tried informal last yr. with really bad grades and got to learn about them. As for the Fox Trotters I know least about them. So as for now I would say I'm leaning more towards the groups that I know more about, and girls in the groups, not to say that one of the other ones would be a better fit for me; at this point it's all up in the air. glad y'all like my idea for code names hehe.

Hi everyone,
I decided to wait on posting , seeing everything everyone had been saying on don't post rush threads it could be harmful so I decided to wait and post until after the dust had settled from recruitment week here at Tech.
Well the Clydesdales called me and said they weren't taking any juniors... so enough about them.
As for the Appaloosas... I absolutley loved them.. I felt like I connected with them so much. I was so nervous about my gpa... and how that would effect me. All of their parties they had all week, were great the girls were so friendly, and sweet. I figured I would hear from them last night... well I didn't. I saw one of the girls today before a class that was also a pnm and she told me that she got called at 12:30 last night. I told her I hadn't heard anything, she's like I'm sorry, and that I can always try again next yr. I was like well I'm a junior so I feel its' now or never...
I talked to my roomate about it and she said that she wasn't sure on things... and said they might call later.. or break it into groups. I had met with some girls from the dining hall earlier this morning... and they said hey had me sit with them and I thought they were just being nice... and later my roomate called me to let me know that she got an e-mail last night from the vp of recruitment letting her know that I will be extened a bid... so I'm proud to announce that I am going to bid day events in a little bit for ALPHA DELTA PI , :) I can't even explain how excited I am.

I knew as soon I read Appaloosa's who you were talking about! Don't ask how...I just had a feeling! Welcome to ADPi! It is the best decision you will ever make in your life! ADPi is the First and Finest...and it's for a lifetime! Jeez I am so excited I do not know what to say!!!!
