(5/14/01, 3 p.m. ET) -- Marion "Suge" Knight, CEO of Death Row Records, scored a victory in Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday (May 11) when a judge ruled against issuing a temporary restraining order that would have barred him from marketing and releasing a new movie, J. Lo Uncut: Tha Real Story. Jennifer Lopez sued Knight for invasion of privacy, false representation, and violation of right of publicity when Star magazine reported that Knight was producing a film that contained a sex scene between Lopez and a former boyfriend that was taken from a sex tape recorded by that former boyfriend. Knight and his attorney Jeffrey Lowy deny that a real-life sex tape exists.
The unnamed boyfriend allegedly recorded the sexual encounter without Lopez's permission and sold it to Knight more than a year ago. Knight supposedly wanted the tape as a means to get back at his rival Sean "P. Diddy" Combs, who was dating Lopez at the time. In her lawsuit, Lopez states, "Plaintiff [Lopez] has no knowledge of the existence of any videotape of plaintiff having sexual relations. Thus if the tape exists it either (a) does not depict plaintiff or (b) was taped without her knowledge or consent. If the Tape does depict the plaintiff, it was created despite her reasonable belief that her sexual relations were entirely private and would never be seen by any third parties." J. In related news, Lopez is the star of the new movie, Angel Eyes, which arrives in theaters on May 18. In addition, the actress-singer has inked a deal with NBC to develop a sitcom based on her experience growing up in a Puerto Rican household with two sisters in the Bronx. In the meantime, Lopez will also star and produce a musical for the network that will air this fall

there are so many different stories, about this, one source says he was shot in the chest, one source says the person who shot him had on a pink shirt one source says it was a hooded sweatshirt one person heard 1 shot / another person heard 4 shots. OMG! get - it - to-gether people!! :mad:

yea the leg story seems to be pretty consistent in most stories though so at this point I think thats the real deal

If you shoot at a man that is as feared as Suge you wouldnt shoot him in the leg. Wouldnt you try to kill him? And missing someone's chest shouldnt land you a bullet in the leg.. :rolleyes: Unless its a message or something

this is actually my first post, sorry to be peekin in on ya'll beautiful ladies' chat but I think that he was shot in the leg because, if you aim the gun below the waist, you only get manslaughter as opposed to attempted murder. At least thats what I think, i'm no lawyer or law enforcement officer.

The Optimist in me might say that it hasn't hit the news because MTV has some incredible media relations folks working overtime... but no one is that good.

The Cynic in me might say that it hasn't hit the news because violence at a "white" show isn't as big as violence at a "black" show... but this theory is a little to "vast racist conspiracy" for me.

The Realist in me might say that it hasn't hit the news because the news media is in overdrive convering Hurricane Katrina and the disaster in New Orelans... and this is the one that strikes me as the most plausible.
