Misreading people's Greekchat names

DGPhoney's name I read for the longest time as DG Phoney. It took me a while to figure out it was supposed to be DGP honey. *laugh*

i actually read yours as arie (are-ee) rising

i also read pirepresent's as pire present

i also always read dgphoney as dg phoney

there was a poster named "phishphan" on here. I thought it was a Pi Phi named Shannon. (shan for short)

Of course, it is a Phish Phan. :)

I saw navane and misread naive.

and there is breathesgelatin which my eyes converted to breathes again.

awhile ago someone messed up my name, "G8Ralphaxi" - it's supposed to be G8R (gator, mascot of U. Florida) and alphaxi (Alpha Xi Delta). They thought my name was Ralph. Umm, not quite.

I always read your name as "Great Alpha Xi" i don't know why...

Ok here we go-
I always think G8Ralphaxi is a guy....always....want to call you Ralph!!! Then of course, I realize you are neither a male nor a Ralph.

Optimist Prime- Prime minister. Really though- that's just how retarded I am.

Not werid. T could actually stand for Texas and since I'm a beautiful butterfly....it totally makes sense.:D

Taualumna - I thought it was an exotic name. It took me a couple of weeks to figure out that it was Tau- Alumna.

OMG this is scary guys, I do many of the same things previously mentioned! I definately did it with Sherbertlemons, I thought it was Sherbertle-mons for the LONGEST time. I am a dork. Also I think of chili peppers too when I see honeychile. This is so funny, but I am glad to know I am not the only one who does this!!! :D

This is why I think I'm dyslexic sometimes...I've always read sherbetlemons as sherbetMELONS.

Hehehe, I like the new signature. I always read it as "great alpha xi", too, who knows why. Little bit of dyslexia in me, too, I guess.

Same with absolutuscchick and DGPhoney, too...except reading this thread is the first time that I realized I was reading their names wrong! Whoops.

Here's some that I can think of now. I'll probably come back and add a few:

ariesrising: I thought it was Air Rising
sherbertlemons: Sherbertle-mons (I guess a lot of us thought that)

I have the same trouble with DGPhoney and tnxbutterfly.

It took me forever to figure out nyrdrms, too. I was reading it as nerd-ums. :D

I always see nyrdrms as NY dreams, like New York Dreams.

No it has to do with Rolling Rock - but what Smashing Pumpkins song are you talking about?

The song is just called thirty-three, I used to know the reason but I forgot now....

P.S. We had to do an essay one year for our standardized tests about our Idol...I picked Billy Corgain....I was in 7th Grade and I LOVED the Smashing Pumkins...ok, I'm a dork

The one name I always looked at weird was Fhwku. I always read it as Fook you, kinda like in Austin Powers (the third one), but it's really Farmhouse Western Kentucky University...whoops
