Did anyone watch this new gameshow which originated in the UK? It has like a WHO WANTS TO BE...BIG BROTHER KIND OF FEEL. The contestants VOTE OFF who is the weakest link!

They may like her antics in the U.K. but I don't at all. I think she loves to cut others down. she could have kept her comments about the high schooler to herself. One thing though, I know I will be using her catchphrase from time to time.

I have a question...who said that it never aired in the UK? All articles I've read and news bits have all said that it premiered last August on BBC2.

I think having Cruella Deville as the host is neat. Having a female hosting a game show is a pretty big deal, considering there haven't been that many in the past.

Think of it this way...Survivor 1 winner Richard Hatch taped a pilot for the first episode. I'd rather have Cruella at the helm. If you look at the people I deal with every day...she's not so bad.

I just caught a part of it and I kept laughing. Brits are mean to each other anyway so this lady isn't an exception.

What's with us stealing so many Euroshows anyway?

I like this show. I also watched CHAINS of LOVE tonight.

I like the host. She is a take no mess type of host. I did not like how they got rid of Jill over Cheryl but oh well.

Kevin had me ROFLMAO when he named THE FUGEES in place of TLC.

I checked out the show tonight and I thought it was pretty interesting. I liked the host too. She was on Jay Leno the other night and she said the American contestants are meaner/ruder than the UK contestants. I thought that was kinda interesting since she's rude herself. I did find myself wondering this though: If this show really takes off, how long before she gets tired of saying "It's time to play, the weakest link!" in that sorta quick tone she does? Who does that host think she is. I couldn't even finish watching it last night because of that witch. I hate being around or hearing negative people

I watched part of it. But NBC is supposedly in trouble because they announced this show as "A huge hit in England", and it's never even aired in Europe.

Last night was my first time watching the show and I can tell that I'm going to be an addict.....The host was funny but Jill was even funnier especially when she jumped at her when she was voted off....What did the host say to Jill when she was voted off? I'm curious as to what caused her to jump at her(I switched the channel to watch Real World/Road Rules Challenge).......

I was flipping back and forth and when I came back, Jill was gone! She was my girl. So, I don't know what happened. Did y'all see how Cheryl was smiling like she was going to win?
I know she wanted to cry. I was screaming the answer at her. Heck, she doesn't look older than me and I'm 27. Didn't she have an economics class in high school. Greenspan has been around a while!

i was wondering the same thing. After a few minutes of watching, it was already sounding tired.

And could it stop copying "Millionaire's.." sound and lights? it seems like a good alternative because there are no multiple choice questions, but it hasn't found it's niche yet.

Can we get some different effects? http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/tongue.gif I do like this show a lot better than Millionaire b/c it doesn't allow the constestants to take their sweet old time trying to figure out the answer. Some peeps sit there FOREVER trying to come up w/ the answer! geez!

I saw Jill in one of the commercials for the weakest link and she tells the host something along the lines of "yeah you're high and mighty because you know all the answers."

I've been watching since Tuesday (only because news talk had it as a topic Tuesday, so I watched cause I didn't know what they were talking about), and I'm just a bit hooked already.

Jill was a hoot Tuesday.

Although Lisa should have been staying, she got bumped by that jerk Jonathan.
I thought that Maggie made a good strategic move by bumping HIM later on. Eric had acted like he was sortof dumb, but I think he was just biding his time, because he sure was shinning by the final rounds, eh? Therefore, Maggie thought it would be fairly easy to win again Eric the dummy, but her strategy failed. She missed some easy questions(did anyone notice her nervous twitch and the way she seemed to pull question out of nowhere--at least until the last few rounds?) before sudden death (I wouldn't have gotten the A&M question right either http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif).

Maybe I'm mean or something,people, but I LOVE THIS SHOW!!! It's about time there was a game show host that doesn't coddle or baby the contestants-all that chick does is SAY what most of us are thinking. I stopped watching Millionaire ages ago-who wants to watch an insipid host sit there for ages with somebody who is trying to figure out the answer to a question? I think they make it too easy for them(can we say TIME LIMITS!)

That show is sooooooooooo cheesy. Why do they think that a mix of Millionaire and Survior would be a fun game show to watch? My roomate can't stand the show. Everytime the host says "the weakest link" it sounds like she's constipated. Last night I felt so sorry for Maggie. Me and my roommates were jummping up and down when she got her guestion wrong. (What does A&M stand for in Texas A&M?)

Hi all,

I am usually pretty quiet, but I wanted to get in on this conversation since I live in England. Weaklist Link is the most popular game show over here. We watch it almost every night. Not for the host, really they can keep her, but the questions are interesting. And since the questions over here have British answers, they are very challenging. Now I know she is a Brit, but it was reported in the paper over here they are paying her close to 5 million bucks to do this show. Unbelievable. I would love to get paid for people to volunteer for me to insult them.

I watched it for the first time on Monday night. It seems like a ripoff between Survivor and Millionaire. It kept my interest for the time it was on but I wouldn't rush home to watch it!

The Weakest Link is a decent show. I like the format of the show. I think that you would need to have a strong backbone in order to take the brow beating of the host and the team. Being called "the weakest link" or one of the hostess' other clever insults cannot be easy. I'd be bolling!!!!
