Initiation!
 

Not sure if this is the right thread for this, but I just wanted to share my excitement with the GC community over the fact that I'm getting initiated into Delta Zeta tonight!

Lamplighting (our preinitiation sisterhood stuff) was beautiful and totally prepared us for tonight. :) This has been a rough week, getting up at 6am for work, then classes, then home again for DZ events (which don't end later than 10:30 or 11) and going to sleep again....Those of us with early days are all a little sleepy (sisters and NMs alike) but it's worth it. I'm so glad we waited until Spring semester, I feel more comfortable with it than I would have in December.

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, I just wanted to talk about to someone and most of my friends are pretty tired of hearing about DZ. :D

Congratulations!! This is a big deal and of course you are excited and want to share. I understand how you feel, and you are entitled to enjoy every minute of it.

It is so much fun when you go through recruitment and pledge, but getting initiated is the ultimate. The only thing better is when you get to share that initiation with a little sister or to see another new member class get initiated.

Of course not! I got back to the house around 10:30 each night, the only reason I've been tired is I've stayed up talking to some of the girls and hanging out because we're all excited about initiation (3 new members live in the house). :) Absolutely nothing bad has happened, I wouldn't be here if it had.

Hey pixell, Lamplighting is an exciting time. Glad to hear you are enjoying it. Take everything in and have fun bonding with your sisters. :)

Congrats! I loved Lamplighting and Initiation...be sure to (well, at least try to) relax and enjoy it, because you'll always remember this. :)

I'm definately a fan of the DZs. 1 of my SAI sisters and one of our new members are DZs and I have several other friends who are. They're WONDERFUL ladies here on my campus. :)

Congratulations, Pixell! Initiation is a very special time, and I know how excited you are. My own initiation was not too long ago! I hope you remember more of initiation than I do, however, because I was so sick and spaced out on cold medicine that I barely remember anything! Congrats again!

Congratulations!!! Enjoy EVERY minute of it!! It's been 17 years since my initiation and I still remember it fondly!
