My Brother is Rushing!
 

My brother will be rushing this Spring.
In fact, Rush starts next week.
I'm so excited! He's so excited!

Do you mind telling us where he will be rushing? If you do, I completely understand, especially if you will be posting a play by play. :)

I'll try to get day by day details.
I believe rush starts January 20.

Half my high school goes to App State! One of my acquatainces was a fraternity president there. Actually, one of my good friends is a Sigma Kappa there as well.

My brother has now visited all eleven
fraternities and one colony. He's having
a great time.

There are only three fraternities that he's
not interested in. He has something good
to say about the other nine. He actually has
something nice to say about all of them, but
those three are just not for him.

The feelings seem mutual, as he has received
several calls over the past two nights from
different fraternities.

So needless to say, it seems as though his
biggest problem at this point is choosing
which fraternities interest him the most.

Oh my oh my...

My brother is doing great...kind of.
Four fraternities have called him
tonight saying that they want him.
He has to choose which house to have
dinner with tomorrow. He's having such
a hard time trying to decide. His top two
choices are having their dinner at the same
place and within a half an hour of each other.

I feel bad for him b/c this is such a hard
and important decision.

I'm on the phone with him now. He is
so torn.

I directed him to each of their Nationa Websites
so that he could read up on their history and
what not.

I called him back a half an hour later and thus
far he believes he has made his decision.

He wants to make the best decision for himself
and he's being so smart about it. He truly understands
that this is a lifelong decision. He also doesn't want
to anger anyone or make enemies of those fraternities
that he chose not to join. He says this b/c he has met so
many great men from each fraternity that he really likes
and they have been so cool to him and he sees them all
over the place during school.

My brother had it down to

Teke
Delta Chi
Pike
Theta Chi

He then narrowed it down to Pike and Theta Chi.
He was so torn for the whole weekend. He loved
both houses equally, but finally decided that he felt
most comfortable with.....

The colors of the Fraternity are military red and white. In 1909 the Grand Chapter designated, as the standard fraternity color, the same shade of red that is used in the flag of the United States of America.
