Tell me something...

Hi Ladies of AKA,

I signed up yesterday but have been a frequent visitor of gc for a while.

Questions for the 2 Moderators:
Why is it you tell new individuals to perform searches on previously discussed topics when their are new members of your organization/sisterfriends joining everyday who may want to give their input about blah, blah, blah? Did John tell you to limit the amount of space used on each forum therefore you all don't want new topics started if it has been discussed before? If so, if I wanted to put my input about "skin care", for example, out there and brought up the topic from last year, would that be ok or would it be closed/locked because it was a previously discussed topic and no new input is allowed?

Just checking before I get checked, LOL.

Tiera

Hello PrettyLady T,

If a topic has been discussed before and you would like to add something, we prefer that you perform a search and add your input. It doesn't really make a whole lot of sense to have a dozen threads on the same topic. If you brought up a topic from a year ago, that is ok. It will not be locked or deleted. I promise. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif

akatude, if you have a problem with my soror posting over here, why don't you just say so? I am sure there is NO problem with her refraining from doing so...I am also just as sure that she was only trying to help.

Soror AKATUDE do you have problems expressing yourself? http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/eek.gif I didn't think so. I think I'll go have a cup of tea - pinky finger raised - of course! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

Soror AKA2D91 you make me laugh! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif

Whatever. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/rolleyes.gif If she has a problem with my reply she is more than welcome to let me know. I'm sure she can speak for herself.
Or do you do that for her?

Soror AKA2D, yes, honey. I have a serious case of the PMS you described. I'm oozing with serious 'tude this week, but you know me. I make no apologies unless it is genuine. If you can't stand the heat, get out the kitchen. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif

The ONLY reason I am taking the time out of my schedule to address this further is to reiterate the sisterhood that we DELTAS share. If I felt compelled to speak on behalf of my soror for something unecessary such as this I WILL DO IT. She is aware that I have done so and since I have feels no need to make her own comment, in the effort to maitain the peace. However, I will go one step further and say that since you all are so ademant about keeping this entire forum stress and animosity free, then do not make the sarcastic comments and silly things of that nature. I do not recall my sorors "copping a tude" when you all venture to our forum and respond, even to the threads addresed to specific members, moderators, or to the DELTAS themselves, so I (we) do not expect to be made to feel unwelcomed over here. My only request is that should you feel someone, anyone not just my sorors, have responded unecessarily, then simply say so and save the childish comments and disrespect. That is all, I have MADE my point and I'm out.

Crimson Rage, (looking back, it wasn't YOU, it was one of your SORORS..) STILL Asking...

What happened to your/her ORIGINAL POST? Cause I was going to say that the "problem" if I remember correctly (and if I could see the original post) was the 'timing' of your post.

I know of SEVERAL instances here, where your sorors and OTHERS have posted here when a question has been directed to "others". Perform a search and you will see what I am speaking of.

I don't care who posts in here, as long as that person(s) comes "correct". http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif

http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/confused.gif Regulator, If I'm stepping on to "Non-sisterfriend" grounds please delete me.

I just hated to see what went on in here. We've all enjoyed playful and sometimes serious conversations or debated with members of several soroities including Delta Sigma Theta.....Why all the drama? I'm in no position to point fingers or anything but for a while now someone in one way, shape, name, or form has started trouble brewing.
As many of you know, I'm a forum addict so I visit many. It's not like I don't realize that things won't always be perfect, but I feel that things like this are un- called for . http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/rolleyes.gif

Crimson Rage,
Maybe you're having a bad day, or maybe you just didn't appreciate the harmony.Whatever the case may have been you got a bit out of hand in another Org's Forum. That's just a prime example of the behavior you accused all others of using. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/frown.gif

I think it's a sad thing when people try to eat away at others friendship and happiness.

I am ready and expecting to get a rude comment intended to put me in my place.. but I just think a lot of this drama could be saved. In this instance, I think a private e-mail would have sufficed... a public post telling another adult they "got out of hand" is sure to only invite more animosity. I think the original question has been answered... I guess I just don't see the function of this thread anymore. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/frown.gif

AKA2D '91 04-20-2001 11:52 PM

LIKE I SAID B4...

I DON'T CARE WHO POSTS, AS LONG AS THEY COME CORRECT! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif

***KEEP THE ANIMOSITY AND "DRAMA" IN DRAMALAND AND ANIMOSITYVILLE, NOT IN HERE!***

CrimsonRage 04-21-2001 12:14 AM

lol..You're right, I did say that. I believe my work here is done...you got my point. The rest of the bullish is for the birds.

OO-OOP!

I'm sorry. Couldn't resist.

resistance1913 04-21-2001 04:44 PM

I am so sorry that this situation had to be handled in such an immature manner. My soror was only being honest and meant no harm. There was nothing rude about what she said, so I dont see why all the smart comments were necessary. But like always we will be the more mature one's in this instance, and just leave well enough alone!! I just thought that as adults things you all would have handled things differently.
THAT'S MY 19.13 CENTS WORTH!

Is there a way to do a quick search using key words? Or, would a person have to look at each of the 24 pages of the Alpha Kappa Alpha threads? I read postings & comment from time to time, but haven't learned all the short cuts (if there are any) on greekchat.

AKA2D '91 04-21-2001 06:10 PM

Soror et.al.,

There is the "search" feature, under the Post (new) reply option.

From there, you can decide how you want to "search"....

Happy Searching, EVERYONE! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif

Soulful Soror 04-21-2001 07:28 PM

Muchas Gracias!

Conskeeted19 04-21-2001 08:29 PM

Soror Regulator,

I am going to RESIST from commenting. Shall we have tea!

AKAtude 04-23-2001 09:09 AM

Why did this thread have to generate so much discussion? It was settled before I left work on Friday. As a matter of fact, Kimmie and I had a private "chat" via e-mail and it was over and done with. She understood where I was coming from once it was explained. Geeessshhh! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/eek.gif
