Anyone attending LI this summer? I will be there! I'm excited, this is my first LI! I've been to two Conventions, just never could attned LI!

I'm planning on it, just need to remember to register in time! I've been to 1 LI and 1 Convention, and am looking forward to going back to LI. It's so much fun!

I'm planning on going! :) This will be my first time going to either LI or Convention. I know a couple of ladies from my chapter that are planning on going too. I can't wait!

Congrats Sarah! Great news!

Question: Some of our LC Officers want to attend LI but they wanted to know if they have to stay at the hotel. One of our officers is from Brentwood and has offered her house up for them to stay at to cut the costs. Anyone know if that is allowed?

It is - BUT ... most of the events start really early (8am, and some things may start at 7:30 depending on the position), and WILL run late like (11:30 pm to 12 am).

When they go online to register, when they get to Step 2 - they need to select "No" for a hotel room. They will then only have to pay the registration fee. (If they answer YES, Step 3 will have Room & Board info; If NO, it won't have room & board info).

Note: This means that if they want to EAT at LI, they will have to buy the meal plan separate. They will need to contact Sara Hotchkiss to find out what the meal cost is, and arrange payment.

Meals are (Friday night dinner, Saturday lunch, Saturday dinner and Sunday breakfast).

I'm going, of course the Chapter President is going and our CR chair and Chapter Treasurer are hoping to go.

We'll do the west coast proud! I can't wait to go! I was never able to go to any of the conventions or LI's as a collegiate or when I was on the Corp.

Well, I can't go to LI this year. I have to take summer classes this year so I can graduate next year. BUT!!! I will be in Franklin, Tennessee *home* starting next June....Convention in Atlanta here I come! :)

I'll be there, rooming with another Chi Epsilon Corp Board officer. I think it's her first LI/Convention, so I can't wait to share the fun with her. Heck, I can't wait to see her face when she first walks into Headquarters :)

I'll be driving down with the ladies from Pi Alpha but beyond that I don't know - or I might just drive down early the morning of the 25th and see about doing some work downstairs at IHQ - possibly not though....

I already have meet Silver so that won't be difficult. Should we get buttons, wear a certain shirt, etc?

Hmm, easy ones are to dress for the weather. It can get hot in Nashville and you may be outside at times. And shoes, comfy shoes. Take lots of notes, meet as many sisters as you possibly can, have lots of fun, spend money at the Emporium :D, go on the HQ tour for sure.

another tip

although it does get warm - the hotel meeting rooms are freaking ice cold - so bring something you can throw on while in the workshops...last time we went and defrosted/thawed out on the hotel front lawn during every break.....

this year i think i am even going to bring a throw blanket to cover up with.... and i am only slighting joking about that......

I am NOT kidding...I am so taking a red throw blanket. One of my friends gave me a red fleece lap blanket for just such uses!

How are we going to know who is GC? Could we have some buttons made up and ask the Registration people to have them at the table? Ideas? Mom and I would really like to meet everyone in person.

If we could pull it off, why don't we try to come up with a day and time where most of us could at least say hi? Maybe one morning during breakfast time or something? I know there's often side meetings at meals and during "free" time, but we could always try.

If not, I'm signed up for the 1st HQ tour on Friday :)

Okay, I'm officially jealous now! :( Stupid summer classes!!! Oh well, I'll hopefully get to meet everyone at Convention. I'm waiting for that! I've heard about quite a few of you from Lara the CC....she said that the AOII GCers she's met are wonderful women!:D

Silver, Silver's Mom and I are all rooming together!! Talked to Sarah at IHQ yesterday about it and she said it should not be a problem ;) I do feel sorry for the fourth staying with us. . . . LOL

I got my registration stuff today!!!! Hurrah!!! I *love* the AOII Afterhours programming. Now for the fun part, deciding what sessions to attend. If anyone is going to alum chapter and/or Corporation sessions, PM me because there's a good chance I'll be there.

PRE-LI BUMP!!!

Okay, AOII GCers, have we ever figured out how we can all either meet up OR recognize each other? I've been lucky enough to meet some of you IRL, but other than Tasha (thanks to the 6'9" husband with baby!) I don't know if I'd recognize you. I want to meet everyone while we're there together!

Let's see--ways to find me, if you are so interested:

Thursday afternoon/evening--should be with Beryana in beautiful Franklin, TN. If you're coming in early (or you just want to meet me) then shoot me a PM for my cell number.

Friday--on the 12:30 HQ tour, afterhours probably either at Best Practices or Legally Blonde (unless we all want to meet up then)

Saturday Breakout Sessions--probably Omega Financial in the 1st. Definitely plan on attending Corporation 201 in the 2nd and Chapter Finances in the 3rd. No clue on afterhours yet, probably best practices or the singalong, maybe...I don't know :)

Sunday--in no hurry to leave Nashville, as long as I'm pointed toward home by 4pm or so!

actually unfortunately the 6-9 husband had a work thing pop up so now my mom is coming with me and the baby... she is so excited she was just inititiated in december so this is her first international AOII thing.....

i'll be in darn cns training most of friday i think....

i'm good for whenever - - i also don't leave till late on sunday.... so that would be a good day just to hang out - but would love to meet up earlier...

I have to look at my schedule but I'm sure I'll have time to meet up with ya'll somewhere. I know my new CNS wants to meet with me and some of the Nu Beta collegiate members.

Let's pick a time to meet. Also, anyone up for a $5 round of Secret Pal for another GC AOII at LI?

That works for me...I can meet anytime during lunch that day. I leave early tomorrow morning for Nashville, just a short 4 hour drive from Oxford, MS. :)
