We know your favorite handbag - what about SHOES?

...

JennRN 12-31-2003 09:48 AM

OMG, I love the pink rain boots!! My Mr. bought them for me for Xmas, and I can't wait to wear them!! They are so cute.

As for favorite shoes?? In my dream world, ANYTHING by Christian Louboutin. If I knew how to post a picture here I would!!

Taualumna 12-31-2003 10:17 AM

I wear a size 5 medium and it's really difficult to find shoes. Stuart Weizman makes stuff in my size, so many of my dressier shoes are by him. I can get kids' shoes when it comes to stuff for sports.

ZTAngel 12-31-2003 10:21 AM

If only I had money.....

AchtungBaby80 12-31-2003 02:22 PM

I got a black pair of boots similar to the brown ones BrownEyedGirl posted...I love them! I already had a pair, but they were getting ratty and these new ones are more up-to-date. I'm wearin' them tonight. :D

ZTAMich 12-31-2003 03:04 PM

My black sling back Cole Haan heels...I feel like a million bucks in em. First of what I hope will be many 'luxury' shoes for me...

My fav mellow shoe w/ khakis = a pair of choclate brown clogs, w/ a not quite round, not quite square toe.

For summery nights out, my Gucci slides w/ the black on black G logo.

For wintery nights out, my black knee high f__k me boots

For frolicking in water, a pair of multicolored birks that aren't leather, they're some other material. These are perfect for beach activities b/c I just rinse them w/ fresh water when I get home and they look fab.

Fav work shoe, black Mary Janes w/ 3 in heel w/ taupe dots aroudn the border.

:D

I love, love, love Manolo Bhlaniks (sp?) and Nine West. These are the only ones that don't rub blisters on my feet!

I love those shoes, even if I had them I would never wear them, just stare at them.

James, just be happy you're not be dragged along on a shoe shopping day. ;) And other assorted girl errands...

James 01-01-2004 10:10 PM

Its just that well . . now I can differntiate between different types of hand bags lol . . a not very needed skill for a male . .. I found myself complimenting some girl on her Louis Vitton (sp?) Hand bag the other day and getting into a small convo about the merits of that over say Kate Spade or coach . . . sigh . . . See what you people are doing to me? I rather used to pride myself on my lack of clothing sophistication . . ;)

Besides, without all these threads on our favorite accessories, how do you expect us to dazzle and woo you, James? A girl's got to look her best! :)

I saw a pair of these in purple and gold the other day that I wanted so badly. I saw some in pink and green as well, but the style wasn't the same, I think they were high top, which I don't wear.

I never wear sneakers except to the gym though, so I don't think I'll do much except look!

hottytoddy 01-05-2004 05:54 AM

I love love love Manolo's and Jimmy Choo's. I need money.

Unregistered- 01-05-2004 08:35 AM

I still don't understand the deal w/ Manolos. They're pretty, but as far as wearing them goes...they're just like the rest, and definitely not worth what they go for these days. I "borrowed" my sister's pair once, and the whole time I was scared that the heel was going to come loose.

But then again this is coming from a girl who owns 12 pairs of REEF flip flops.

FiReKraCkEr 01-05-2004 10:42 AM

To go out (I'm a Kenneth Cole freak!):

These are just something else entirely, and I find them scary.

These last two are Dyeable Luctie...one is called "Spice" would one wear it while on the Spice channel? I must be a snobby uptight prude, but most Luctie shoes are really ummm, exotic dancerish. Since they are dyables, who wants stripper shoes at their prom or wedding?

I am all about the flip-flops. I would wear flip-flops 365 days a year if it didn't snow.

Charles David = Best Shoes Ever.

rho4life 01-21-2004 03:31 AM

I can't stand Charles David. Rude sales clerks and I swear, they size their shoes differently than anyone else. i never have to pay attention to the width of my shoes, b/c my feet are of average width. they tried to tell me that i had fat feet and they didn't carry wide widths. It took all of my strength to not throw some shoes at that hefferino!

MareImbrium 01-21-2004 04:24 AM

It's been quite some time since I bought myself a pair of new shoes. Can't go wrong with a pair of comfortable tennies.

OK...I had a pair of Charles David boots once....the very first time I wore them, the heel broke. I swear I am NOT overweight AT ALL! It was so weird! The heel just broke off---I'd only had them on for like 20 minutes

I got last year's version of these in black - the leather isn't ruched and there's a cute little bow on the toe - I love em!

i have last years in white. i love em as well!

I'd love a pair of Tod's driving moccasins (not necessarily in this style) but they're narrow so they make my lower half look like a funnel.

I got these Docs for Christmas and they're my new favorite right now.

Shoes

I'm a handbag aficionada, but of course, can't resist some good shoe deals. Don't have any Manolos yet...passed up a pair for less than $200 at Neiman's Last Call because I need to make my car payment.

In terms of others, I like Kate Spade's pointed mules with the kitten heels. Mine are shaped like this: http://i7.ebayimg.com/02/i/01/33/b3/18_1.JPG
But the pattern is like this:
http://i3.ebayimg.com/01/i/01/29/83/4a_1.JPG
I also like Michael Kors (two pairs of sandals), Isaac (the bridge kind, not the Tarjay kind), Ferragamo, Tod's driving loafers (three pairs) and Ralph Lauren Collection shoes. For everyday wear, I have a grip of Ann Taylor and Banana Republic shoes. Shoes don't have size issues.
:D :p

CarolinaCutie 01-21-2004 12:42 PM

Attention: The Gap is now making a cheaper version of the Sigerson Morrison heeled flip flop (even though theirs have a wedge instead of the kitten heel). GET EXCITED. $14.50 for these cutey little shoes:

That happened to me with Steve Madden shoes in high school. Of course since they are crap shoes it's not a big surprise.

ISUKappa 01-21-2004 01:36 PM

I wore these for my wedding last September only in red:
http://a1216.g.akamai.net/f/1216/955...rge/119657.jpg
on me:
http://kdotp.tripod.com/shoes.jpg

I felt slightly harlot-y (harlotish??) wearing sparkly red shoes, but I loved 'em! I can't wait until it gets warm to wear them again.

Since I'm po' I usually buy my "good" shoes at TJ Maxx or at Von Maur clearance sales. Though, hubby did take out an inordinate amount of $$$ last weekend for a friends' bachelor party, maybe I can justify a new pair of good shoes! :p

Sister Havana 01-21-2004 01:42 PM

I love Easy Spirit for dress shoes (though I have a pair of Hush Puppies black low heel shoes that are great!), Grasshoppers for casual shoes and Reebok and Nike for sneakers. A lot of my friends swear by New Balance sneakers and I did see some on clearance...but none in my size! :( I would like to try them someday. I also have a pair of K-Swiss orienteering shoes I got in 1994 that I still wear quite a bit. they rock! (And the price was right...free! :D)

I can't wear shoes with the real pointy toes because I get the worst blisters. Many dress shoes will also give me blisters on the top of my foot and on my heel. It's annoying.

Steeltrap 01-21-2004 09:08 PM

I wish I was a size 8, not a 10

So I could get these beauties from Tod's...
