Which cologne drives 80% of the women crazy?

Hey gals, which cologne out there do you think will drive the most girls nuts?

AchtungBaby80 12-22-2003 11:57 PM

Hmmm...well, depends on what I'm in the mood for. Emporio Armani and Acqua di Gio are good anytime...mmmmm. I also like this particular one by Kenzo...can't remember the name, but it's got a top on it that looks like a zebra mane. And of course, on nights when I'm into eurotrash, a little Le Male by Jean Paul Gaultier always works.

CardinalSM 12-23-2003 12:13 AM

I think the Sexy for Him scent by Victoria Secret smells great as does the Abercrombie scent.

RxyChrldr 12-23-2003 12:17 AM

chalk up another vote for Acqua Di Gio (yummmy!)...and I like the Nautica Active scent whatever it's called, and also the scent by Swiss Army.

GeekyPenguin 12-23-2003 12:18 AM

I am always going to be a sucker for Hugo.

CutiePie2000 12-23-2003 12:23 AM

Drakkar Noir was always a good one, too.

Unregistered- 12-23-2003 12:24 AM

Issey Miyake and Joop! are my favorites.

absolutuscchick 12-23-2003 12:26 AM

I <3 Acqua Di Gio as well, and also, everytime I smell Victoria Secret's Very Sexy For Him 2 I'm in heaven.....

Cluey 12-23-2003 12:30 AM

I really like Curve for Men and the new Ralph Lauren scent, though I forget the name of it.

aggieAXO 12-23-2003 12:43 AM

I like Drakar Noir-yes I know this is an old scent but it drives me nuts

AKA_Monet 12-23-2003 12:47 AM

The Tantra says that sandlewood is the pheremone for men...

Whereas, rasberries are the pheremones for women...

Pheremones are the hormones that each sex emits to attract each other... It's like that vibe...

FAB*SpiceySpice 12-23-2003 12:59 AM

OK my personal favorites are:

-Abercrombie "Fierce"...I think it's relatively new, I bought some of it for my boyfriend and I swear it is AMAZING...I honestly have a hard time keeping my hands off of him...but that's more than yall probably wanted to know. :D

-Estee Lauder Pleasures for men is also INCREDIBLE...I don't know what it is about it, but I love it

I also agree w/Kath (surprise!) Hugo is a fabulous choice as well!!! ;)

sailorchicDG 12-23-2003 01:03 AM

Hands down, no contest.... Acqua di Gio... This scent floors me everytime...

DG515 12-23-2003 02:30 AM

::sighs::
CURVE

I actually bought a bottle of the men's cologne to spray on my pillows.......my best friend in HS wore it and the smell just makes me feel content and loved everytime i smell it.....

LuaBlanca 12-23-2003 02:40 AM

chalk another one up for Acqua di Gio and Curve...mmmm.

Ok, I'm with you on the Acqua di Gio (makes me want to just curl up at the guy's feet and purr) but my brother wears curve, so I don't associate anything sexy with that! I think a lot of cologne association relates to who you know that wears it. I used to like Cool Water but I knew a guy who was a real tool that wore it, so now I don't like it.

But Axe! Oh no...

My best friend does modeling and promotional work, and I have done some jobs with her. When Axe came to the U.S. (it's been big in Europe for years) they hired girls to be "Axe Angels" (kind of like Charlies Angels - boot leg pants, little baby tee w/Axe logo and boots) and go around malls, Walmarts, etc. and promote the product. We were supposed to go up to guys, flirt a little, get them to try Axe, say stuff like "Ooh! you smell good! Girls love guys that smell good!" The "target audience" was guys between 15 and 20 - that's younger than I am! We called it "statutory flirting."

Once you've spent ALL DAY spraying that stuff on horny little 16 year old boys, trust me, ain't nothin' sexy about it.

FiReKraCkEr 12-23-2003 03:04 AM

Aqua Di Gio.... The last four guys I've dated wear the stuff. I don't what it is, but it gets me EVERYTIME! I call it "sex in a bottle".

Also, Very Sexy for him is nice too.

mu_agd 12-23-2003 03:48 AM

Cool Water and Hugo

Rudey 12-23-2003 04:27 AM

The guys you ladies are around must wear flannel and hideous camper shoes too I bet because they're about 10 years back in trendiness. I would have really been scared if someone said cool water or drakkar noir.

Hugo is good but it's been dead for a while. If you're really into the brand, I'd look at in motion - slightly trendier. Personally I prefer the Hermes scent because not too many guys have it. Boucheron, Odeur 71, Costume Nationale, and Zegna are all pretty interesting too but slightly overwhelming for my tastes.

smiley21 12-23-2003 11:21 AM

Curve for Men and Bora Bora

etahannah 12-23-2003 12:15 PM

Mambo (by ?) smells soooooo good. that is what my hottie of a roommate wears and i love when he is getting ready for work in the morning and i am just barely awake and can smell it. yummy!! anyone know the scent?

dzandiloo 12-23-2003 01:11 PM

Angel Men by Thierry Mugler. Mmmmmmmm......

xok85xo 12-23-2003 02:36 PM

i swoon for armania mania, d&g (the one in the dark blue box) and tommy

but pretty much anything my friend bryan wears smells amazing..

DeltaSigStan 12-23-2003 02:38 PM

Someone left like 50 boxes of mini canisters of Axe at frat row, and we got like 4 boxes of them. Frat row smelled like Axe for a month.....ugh.

Ditto on that...I don't know what it is about teen boys and bad cologne, but I've taken to informing them that there is a 2 spray minimum. Being a HS teacher really takes it's toll on the senses...The boys seem to think that they should be able to smell it on themselves! ARGH! I shouldn't be able to smell you before you enter my class or 10 minutes after you leave!

pinkyphimu 12-23-2003 07:52 PM

i guess i am in the minority here, but i love eternity. i will follow any man wearing that! hehehe, in college, if some guy in line near me was wearing it, i would make my friends look for a table near him.

http://burns.thefinaldimension.org/o...y/biglaugh.gif A lot of guys (esp. teens) think like this though! Their thinking is that of course you need to smell it on yourself, no use if it can only be smelt when a woman is nuzzling your neck - if a woman is nuzzling your neck then you wouldn't need aftershave! :p

see i wasn't a huge fan of the zegna...i tried it out and didn't like the scent too much.

i stick with aqua di gio and very sexy, with some ralph lauren romance depending on the day.

AOX81 12-23-2003 09:25 PM

HUGO :)

Hootie 12-24-2003 12:27 AM

I haven't had a boyfriend in a year and a half...so I'm clueless. It's not like I can say the cologne my brothers wear! That'd be sick!

But VERY SEXY is my favorite. Curve being a close second.

WCUgirl 12-24-2003 12:31 AM

Another vote for Curve and Aqua di Gio!!! :D

FHwku 12-24-2003 12:45 AM

lol luckily the guys i know aren't as liberal with the axe as your students are. :)

also- god bless rudey for the mention of Stetson. my dad wears that...it's more of a comfort smell than anything else but YAY!

Isn't it funny how Daddy-cologne is so comforting? :) The mean old ladies at Saks told me that my father's classic wasn't being sold anymore...I think it was her way of getting me to buy something trendy. I found something that was good, but then I went to Dillard's at home and found it! Grrr...

When I was in college, back when Clinton was still President, Cool Water was where it was at. :D Now, I don't seem to care. The boy now is allergic to cologne, so I have gone without for quite some time. The smell of a good deodorant is enough for me nowadays. I don't like the trendy stuff. I can't take a guy seriously when he smells of Abercrombie or the latest Ralph Lauren. :p

cntryZTA5 12-24-2003 02:16 AM

Another vote for Hugo

breathesgelatin 12-24-2003 04:06 AM

Me and my man are working towards optimal cologne performance. We haven't yet found a mutual favorite.

AXJules 12-24-2003 06:01 AM

I'm sorry but Acqua di Gio will always = sex in a bottle to me.

As far as new stuff, I'm really loving the new Kenneth Cole Black. It's amazing, and kind of similar to the above.

absolutuscchick 12-24-2003 07:45 PM

Seriously, once I get a boyfriend I'm MAKING him wear Victoria's Secret Very Sexy For Him 2!!! And if a guy wears Victoria's Secret Very Sexy or this one Ralph Lauren cologne I will not date them because that's what my DAD wears!!!

DigitalAngel126 03-21-2004 12:56 PM

BUMP

I can't believe no on mentioned Prefered stock!!! I love that stuff!! Also Tommy. Old school, but classic. Another vote for Aqua Di Gio and Cool Water also...And who could forget Avatar? - - love that too!
