It's Almost Recruitment Time!!
 

I haven't posted in forever because I've been totally busy with school, but I just wanted to let everyone know that in just 2 weeks, our recruitment starts! I'm the recruitment chair, so life is starting to get pretty crazy, but I love it!! And Breathesgelatin is our amazing membership chair! ;) So far there are just over 200 women going through recruitment (more women are going through recruitment than men!!)!

Okay, so are there any other recruitment chairs/former recruitment chairs out there?? Am I a nut, or did you start to have crazy recruitment nightmares?? Just the other day I had a dream that on the second night there was only one pnm at our house and we went through the entire party just for her! And at the end I was like, "Everyone that was awesome! I am sure that she will be a great pledge class!"

I'll keep you posted on all of the craziness! Tomorrow I'm sewing together pieces for our philanthropy night project! Sounds like fun! :)

We have fall rush and although I was never membership or recruitment chair for my chapter this summer I did have nightmares that none of the new girls that hadn't gone through rush on the other side didn't know how to rush and all the older girls forgot so we really did horrible at it.

But in actuality we did awesome and got a great pledge class so I'm positive you'll do fine!

I'm not the recruitment chair, but I am the head of the Pref Night committee. I'm seriously waiting for the nightmares to start! I'm such a perfectionist, and I just want everything to go smoothly!

PreppyGirl, the recruitment nightmares haven't started for me yet! We'll see though, I did a lot of prepratory stuff for membership today so it's fresh on my very sleepy mind! :) :)

BTW I got your email about the late registrations... :)

I'm nervous and excited, especially after last year with us only getting 3 girls on bid day. We did end up with 21 girls total, plus 7 this fall through COB.

I just don't want to have to COB a whole bunch this semester coming up!

IN Gamma starts on Thursday. So that's what, three more days for us too? Eegads...this is my last recruitment! :eek:

Thank god we dont start until the 1st week in Feb.

Tell us more! So, how did it go? How many women are registered? Picked a favorite yet? Guess it isn't politically correct, but we used to call them "Rush Crush"-- anyone else hear of that term or am I aging myself?

oh no.. we still have "rush crushes".... one of my best friends rush crush is now my great grandlittle.. she is so cool.. :D

Well, our rush ended on Thursday and Bid Day was Friday! We pledged 30 angels. Quota was 37 so we should be able to get there easily! I was very excited because a girl on my hall pledged and another new member is dating a new Pike pledge! :) I actually preffed her, too. :D I think a total of 205 women were registered or so. Karen, we also got a girl from Plano! :) And rush crushes are definately still around!

IN Gamma (Butler University) now has 18 new angels! I love them all and can not wait to see their transition into the house. :)

Honestly, this is the first free night I've had in nearly two weeks with all of the recruitment craziness. I'm so happy with our new class... they totally make every second of preparation worth it! I'm especially excited because my favorite girl pledged and so did my little sis' favorite! I was so scared we were only going to get like 10 pledges, but everything went so well and we ended up with a huge class. Today at lunch we realized that if we COB up to quota (37) there will be nearly as many freshmen as there are juniors and sophomores! We have a great chance of getting a few more women... Woohoo!!

Erin, did you have a TGC for rush this year?? We had Jessica, who was SUPER AWESOME may I add!

Carolyn and Abby came by for the work week. It was so cute to see them bond with my chapter, and I can say that I learned sooo many different things about them.

The girls of Kentucky Gamma have been working extremely hard for the upcoming recruitment, it begins on Tuesday. We are so excited to get our new angels! (and we have a double legacy coming through):) Wish us luck.

My little sister is going through recruitment right now! There is a Pi Phi chapter at her school... I can't wait until tomorrow to see if she gets invited back to pref night!!

our recruitment kicks off friday night, ahhh I am soooo excited!! our rush chair has been working unbelievably hard, our whole house has, and I can't wait to see it pay off!

at Wash U we go back a week before classes start for formal rush since it literally takes all day... i feel like its been 3 weeks since rush already!
