It's a high-end audiophile audio & video contoller/processor. Its a modular design to help keep it future proof, and fully loaded its about $20,000.

Sistermadly 12-15-2003 08:02 PM

MisterMadly saw that thing and just went all "blather blather blather". Since he's a serious audiophile, I take it that's a serious piece of equipment!

I prefer to think of it as a musical instrument with utility, and I think that MisterMadley would agree.

Sadly I don't have $3000 to get an Omega.

Hootie 12-16-2003 12:52 PM

Neither do I... :(
But I wouldn't buy an Omega anyways - I found my perfect watch (a stainless steel Rolex we have in my store) ;)

Only because I told you about it last month. And its no joke.

Someday (hopefully) it will be connected to some Aria power amps,

Yeah, a lot of people think that. But if you ever get to know a true audiophile, we put together our systems knowing that we will be ridiculed, and never admired for them. This is not the same thing as buying a sports car. Women who have seen my stereo system have not been impressed, but rather, they often give me looks like I should be institutionalized.

I persue this because I love music, and listening to Miles Davis on an overglorified boom-box just doesn't do it for me. I like being able to close my eyes and have it sound like Miles is alive, in my room, and playing without any electronic equipment. And next to him is Johnny Coltrane, also alive and playing the sax like only he can. I can bring Billie Holiday back to life, and Leonard Bernstein. That kind of thrill is priceless, if you really love the music.

So, if you want to believe that this is an extension of my penis, you can, but you just might be mistaken.

Can I assume, that this is just an over priced noise maker?

I am not very sure in this day and age if I want anything that has phile conected with me or my name!:(

If it does not nourish you, keep you warm, cuddle, let you get around with 5 wheels, or do anything but make you go deaf in a Maturing age, then what the hell is it good for?:(

Hope you get your wish and get it set up, then have the Squad from the 15 th Precint come and bust your ass for being a nusiuance to children.:D

Not really. I believe that it is worth every penny, but only if you love music.

Tom Earp 12-16-2003 06:21 PM

KEWEL Come Back!!:)

What the Heck Is IT!???:D

From what I get, is an over priced noise maker!

Actually, I do like my little stero system and Time-Exes, espcially My Ex Wife!

I guess my 12 car speakers and 4 in home stero are just chump change compared to this boom box!:(

I guess living in a small town in Kansas, Kansas City, I really do not appreciate the finer things of life!:(

Guess I will just have to suffer!:o
