Who's in the area?

I'm in Schaumburg... close enough to get downtown for occasional events.

I'm in Evanston for various portions of time between this week and the 20th of January. I'm on break from grad school and that's where my parents live...but usually I'm down in St. Louis. I still come up to Chicago occasionally, but normally only during breaks.

I don't currently live in the Chicago area, but I might as well! My boyfriend lives in the south suburbs, getting ready to move into the city, and my best friend lives in Tinley Park. I am in that area almost every weekend. I hate being in Bloomington right now and home is only 1.5 hours from the city, in Michigan.

I'm in nw indiana about 30-45 mins from chicago :D

I am in the city. I live just north of Lakeview!

I'm here! I'm in Bolingbrook, about 25 miles or so SW of Chicago. We border Naperville and Woodridge, among others.

I would love to live in the city, though.

I'm in the Chicago south burbs and will come into the city if the occasion compells me to.

My fiance lives in Chicago; if y'all get a GC meeting together, I could be tempted to come into the city that weekend! ;)

I'm busy controlling the financial section of downtown with my charm.

I'm in Oak Forest, but I'll be moving to Batavia in March.

honeychile, I never realized your fiance actually lives in Chicago (I though he was just from there). The long-distance thing must be tough! Anyway, it would be great to meet you in person!

I'm from Schaumburg, but go to school in Chicago

I work downtown in the financial district too (208 S. La Salle) but for a well known non-profit rather (those philanthropy chair skills did come in handy).

Its a fun area of town to work in...but not necessarily the most enjoyable place to get to during rush hour in the morning!

When my lease ends early this summer...I plan to move a little closer to the city...though I dont really live that far now (Buena Park).

I go to Valparaiso University, which is about an hour or so drive to Chicago... and my boyfriend lives in Oswego, which is one of the wester suberbs of Chicago... I can get to Chicago quite easily if we're going to have any GC event going on, provided that it doesn't conflict with work of course.
