Planning to see a matinee Saturday afternoon - that is, if little btb87 is done with her birthday-partyin' friends. . . if not, it'll be Memorial Day weekend for me as well.
|
I've conned my boyfriend into seeing it tonight!! I can't wait!! :D :D :D
|
I saw it; but the theater was a little noisy, and they did not turn the lights all the way down. I had a bit of difficulty suspending my disbelief and getting fully into the movie. It definitely had some funny moments though.
|
As I said in the Entertainment forum, I LOVED Shrek and will be going to see it again!! I'll wait for more people to see it before I give details.
|
Saw it. Absolutely LOVED it. Will be seeing it about 100 more times!
|
I saw Shrek 2 on Saturday and I LOVED IT!!! :D
For those of you who are planning to go see this movie - you MUST stick around and watch the ending credits to see the complete ending. A lot of people in the movie theatre walked out b/4 watching the end part. |

Shrek 3 and 4. . .
With the dysfunctional fable follow-up ringing up boffo box office, DreamWorks has already given the green-light to not one, but two more sequels, a studio rep has confirmed. DreamWorks is fast-tracking Shrek 3 and Shrek 4 and is expected to begin talks soon to secure the voice talents of Mike Myers (news), Cameron Diaz (news) and Eddie Murphy (news) to reprise their roles for the follow-ups. Each scored a $5 million payday for Shrek 2, which was a substantial increase over the sum they made for the first Shrek, and they are expected to make even more on a third installment. Antonio Bandreas, who steals many a Shrek 2 scene as Puss-in-Boots, is also going to be invited back for the new sequels. SHREK continues to break records and prepares for 2 more sequels |
I'm glad to hear that they are comin out with two more, i'll be one of the first one's 2 see it, I love Shrek. I went and saw most of Shrek 2 yesterday, i'm mad I didn't get to watch it all. I got up to the part when the gingerbread man turned into a giant. From what I saw the movie was great but I didn't expect anything less cause I loved the first one and the cast is wonderful. I just love me some Donkey. I'll just have to catch it again on my next round of movie hoppin.:D
|
I went to go see the movie last night with two of my girls...we sat in that theater and laughed the whole time. I want to go see it again. :D

HIL-LA-RIOUS! How come the theatre was full of adults crackin' up! I think this one was better than the first. There was definetly a lot of 'adult' jokes.
|
I absolutely loved this movie! I wish it would come out on DVD now.

|
can't wait, can't wait!
"I feel all exposed and nasty!" LMBO!!!! |
I finally saw it last night but due to distractions, I need to see it again. But I did enjoy it.
I just read this on the Shrek page from Yahoo. A musical version of Shrek is currently in development, with a goal of reaching Broadway in 2008. The book and lyrics are being written by reigning Pulitzer Prize-winner David Lindsay-Abaire. |
I saw it the day it released, they literally were showing it in 3 theatres every 30 minutes. AS usual, I enjoyed it..another Classic. I think 2 may have been funnier, but it was still great.
I'm looking forward to a 3-pack sometime for the holidays. What a great gift to receive.:) |
I think 2 was funnier also. This one just didn't "do" it for me. :(
I loved the message about not waiting for a prince to come and rescue you; and how one sees oneself is the only thing that matters, not what everyone else sees. best parts: the death of the king, and the queen creating a door. :) |
