Greek Slogans
So we are using the "Go Greek" slogan, which we have used for a while and it is kinda old and doesn't work. Does anyone know of any other slogans that has worked for you ?
|
Don't be a GEEK go GREEK
|
The only other one I've heard used is, "No matter the letter, we're all greek together."
But that's kind of tired, like the "Go Greek" slogan. Time to come up with some new ones, like: * It's Chic to be Greek * Don't Be a Freak, Go Greek (not good for PR) * Be a Greek or Be a Geek (too negative) * Recruitment: One Short Week for a Lifetime of Greek * Be Greek and Be Unique * Sneek a Peek This Week, and Go Greek! ...tee hee! I'm out of words that rhyme with Greek, and that I can make any sense of with regard to Recruitment. :) |
When I was on Panhel Exec, the slogan for Recruitment was: Letters Today, Leaders Tomorrow
The next year it was Greek: Try it, Live it, Love it. Last year it was Living the Legacy I'm not sure what it was this year! |
Here is another one that has a word that rhymes with "Greek":
Find what you seek, go Greek How about: Sisterhood is really good, go Greek Join our big phat [is that word even used anymore?] Greek community I've had a busy day, and I tend to be corny anyway, so don't laugh too hard! ;) |
Here's another one: Go Greek and find out what all those funny letters really mean
Okay, now I'm just being silly! :p |
Our recruitment slogans were:
Spring '00: Eight Reasons to Go Greek (each sorority presented on the benefits of one reason that was assigned to them) Spring '01: I missed this one since I was studying overseas in England Spring '02: Add A Chapter to Your Life Spring '03 (as an alumna helper): No matter where you go, you're still going places |
PolarPi's post reminded me of another one:
Oh the places you'll go a spin off the Dr. Seuss book |
This years slogan at ASU was: Go Greek....it's not four years, its for life!!!
Last years rush theme at USC was Catch The Wave...there was no go greek slogan or anything |
Since I've been at Georgia Tech, our Panhellenic Go Greek Themes have been:
2001: Top 6 reasons to go greek (with the chapter names) 2002: Dr. Suess take off that said "I'm Greek, She's Greek, We're Greek, Go Greek" With little characters next to each one 2003: bright pink shirts that on the front said "We may stand out" then on the back it read "But we'll never stand alone, GO GREEK" The last one was definately my favorite, but some people didn't like the fact that they were pink, but you have to have a bright color for a shirt like that ;) |
Thanks
Thanks for the IDEAS!

here you go
dont be another nameless face in the crowd.
greek, its not just a country, its a way of life. your school name plus greek life the best 10 years of your life. just joking on that one. go greek or go home. dont be just another nameless face in the crowd- go greek. those are just a few that i could think of off the top of my head. hope they help |

Be a Goddess... Go Greek! Has always been my favorite, but no one ever uses it... :(
|
during rush week, our recruitment counselors wore shirts that said "Some things are worth the wait, but some things are worth the RUSH!"

I should add, the slogans we used had to be applicable for both Sorority and Fraternity recruitment, so they had to be non-gender specific. There were some really cool books the time I went to MGCA (years ago, now). I wish I could remember those!
|
Here are some of the slogans my sorority has used during past few rush periods(for the PC crowd: recruitment):
Wanna Play? What is it about the Green ones? Simply Irresistable In the future I would like to see them use this slogan and it fits us to a tee (we are about diversity): Individually Unique, Together Complete http://burns.thefinaldimension.org/otn/blobs/bounce.gif |
"Some things are worth the wait, but some things are worth the RUSH!"
I love this...even if the word "rush" is a no-no". |

This is not a panhellinic shirt, but one that I loved this fall. The KKG's at USC wore light blue shirts the first day of class (in the middle of recruitment) that had KKG on the front and a design on the back with the saying "Would the Blue and Blue look good on you?" I loved it!!
I like the top 6 reasons shirt that Ga. Tech posted and the Dr. Suess ones! They sound really cute. |
sorry
i apologize for the dumb remark. greek, its not just a country, but a way of life. how about. greek, its not just a culture, its a way of life. i am sorry, im not a complete moron, but i do have my moments. that was one of them. but dont worry i am pretty sure i will do it again, so keep your eyes open. and thank you for not ripping on me to bad. have a nice day.
|
Matt you are horrible......J/k ;)
|
i know
i feel very dumb. what sucks is you cant take it back once you hit that submit button. its like "crap, i wonder how bad ill get thrashed for that one." and then the comments start rolling in. you just hope that they forget in a couple of days, so that you dont get dubbed "that guy" but heck. im sure ill say stuff a lot worse than that. just wait and see. lol. talk to you later.:D
|
mattpike,
it's all good, we all have moments like that :) i'm sorry if my comment made you feel bad, that wasn't my intention... I was just being silly :) |

Our slogan for informal recruitment will be a picture of a bow (Phi Gam's symbol) with the words "Knot just any sorority... YOUR sorority!" underneath it.
