I'll keep watching this thread.

If delta alum goes I'll come hoist a drink with him lol.

For crying in a bucket...a fruity cocktail or light beer please!

goldendelta 11-30-2003 07:34 PM

I'll go into the City one day for Happy Hour. I love my bar here on LI, but I'll always try something different.

Buttonz 11-30-2003 11:45 PM

If I were old enough to drink, I'd join you all, but since I'm not have fun!

I'd like to propose that we meet at The Ginger Man. It's located on 36th St., between Madison and 5th.

I'd also like to propose that Buttonz not make excuses and join us.

Munchkin03 12-01-2003 03:12 AM

I can go for that. As long as it's not right after the holidaze...I'll still be home in sunny Floriduh.

AEPhiSierra 12-01-2003 11:50 AM

I am definitely up for it but then again I am always up for happy hour! There are so many NYC people that can be rounded up that it should be fun.

James 12-01-2003 12:05 PM

Re: The Ginger Man

As long as it serves food Buttonz should be ok . .

i'll go. sounds fun

AEPhiSierra 12-01-2003 06:22 PM

I just checked out the link for the place RussellWarshay suggested and it looks really cool. I am a big fan of Belgian beer and they have an awesome selection. Now we just have to figure out when! And Buttonz, they do seem to serve food.

James 12-01-2003 10:02 PM

The Music

I've been there every month this year, and sorry to say, no Irish music. Just really good classic rock & roll.

ZTAMich 12-01-2003 10:52 PM

Drink enough and who cares what the music is....

See that's what they all say...

And then you get there and the band has an electric bagpipe and it all goes to hell...

Well, of course! Name one decent classic rock band that does not use electric bagpipes? Can't do it, can you?

Dionysus 12-01-2003 11:07 PM

Forget about happy hour, we need to go the club.

I dont go to the club with people who can't dance unless they are reaaaally good friends of mine.

So I will have to veto that idea until I have had an opportunity to evaluate the group.;) If at least 2/3 can dance then maaaaybe that is an acceptable option.

I don't dance like a black girl. :(
More like an middle age Asian man.

I guess that's one down.

My driving is pathetic. Thank goodness for NYC subways and buses!! But I do have a license...from Florida!! Need to get that changed, gets too many funny looks up here.

CTFU!
I am not asking that you start dropping it like it's hot. Rhythm is enough. Two step or something?

And don't get in my way.

But yeah, I think GC CC is a bar crowd anyway. Enough liquor and I really won't care.

Or maybe they'll play the right music at The Ginger Man, and we can start a square dance!

So I am assuming you own a banjo then?

Will we look to you for the electric bagpipe as well?

Before we all agree to meet up, I must be sure...

You don't routinely ask other men to squeal like a pig do you?
