What are you getting your sweetie for V Day and if you do not have a Valentine what are you doing to celebrate the love you have for yourself or family or friends:

Well, i'm sending my mother a dozen red roses. My grandmother and aunt each half a dozen roses and I bought candles and candy for my 5 co-workers (we're really close)! What is your most memorable Valentine's Day?

The V-day I got a mysterious dozen pink roses was memorable. Didn't even know what the sender looked like.

I am getting my Mom a box of chocolates, but I remain not a fan of this holiday- I like people who can show me their afftection every other day of the year too, not come up with the big show for this one and think it means something.

True dat.
However, there are those who are going to go alllllll out! :D

I'm not going to know how to act having a LEGITIMATE "special person" on this day! IT OUGHT TO BE A NATIONAL HOLIDAY! :p

V-Day will be another day for me. I'll call the fam and tell them that I love 'em. My father will probably get me some candy and a rose. He tells me every year that he's sick of being my Valentine's. But I'm thankful that I have him. :D

I can't even handle you right now, lol. LOL

BUT, I feel you. :) I will be driving to Ohio that weekend since we have that Monday off to spend time with my manfriend. I could really give a d@mn about V-Day, if I must be honest. It just happened to be the next three-day weekend. I don't really do V-day (for the same reasons as Soror lovelyivy), so I won't be getting him anything. Except, of course, my presence. And what could be better than that? :)

While in grad school in Northern Cali, a guy that I used to date and I went on a trip down the coast to Half Moon Bay and played on the beach. Then took a stroll through the little shops in town. I got a flower out of the deal too. :)


This year, who knows what will happen since the guy that I was dating most recently and I are trying to be "just friends" now... you know how that goes. ;)
He might play the friend role or he might just play the dating role.

I might have to take *myself* to a resort again for the weekend, like last year. :rolleyes:

I told Mr. Nikki to just get me a card. I'll get him a card, maybe cook dinner or something for him...

Actually I need suggestions...we're in a LD relationship & I'll be working that entire weekend :-( So it'll have to be something I can send to him...Help me out guys!:confused:

I'm thinking about treating myself to a spa day. Massage, manicure, pedicure, and facial. Then hanging out with sorors!

For Valentine's Day, I am getting an hour and fifteen minute facial. In addition, I'm getting a 90 minute body massage. I really need this.

Also, I am treating my mother and sister to a 90 minute massage. We all need to relax, and this is my way of telling them that I love them.

I'm not sure of what I will be doing for myself this V-Day.
I may take myself to breakfast and maybe a visit to the Dusable Museum of African-American History. I love museums and they've got some exhibits that I haven't seen yet so it should be a treat.

Wish that I could go to a resort/spa again this year and stay for the weekend but funds are tiiiiiiiiiiiiiight (yes, funds are *that* tight). :)

I'm going to a sorority meeting for Valentine's Day. That's right...there are lots of things planned, so I plan on spending the majority of my morning and afternoon in the company of my sorors....:)

Now what am I really doing for myself...I'm not answering the cell phone or house phone and I'm going to dinner with my husband.

I will be purchasing a new bedroom set and getting my nails done. This year, V-Day is like any ol' day. :)

I ALWAYS send my mom flowers though.
