Oral sex and the Bible (? for Xians)
 

A few "Christian" girls I know persist on saying that it is not sinful to have oral sex. They argue that it is ok because it is not mentioned in the bible. I argue that it is wrong and common sense should guide them. I do think it is implied in the bible that any form of sexual contact before marriage is wrong.

What are your thoughts?

Its wrong. "Lust" is a sin. Even thinking about engaging in sexual activities with someone before marriage is a sin.

So they can give hummers to every guy they bump into and they're still in good with the big G, but any penetration and they're doomed to hell?

it is true that any kind of sexual behavior outside of marriage is considered a sin in the bible. that would obviously include oral sex. even though i know i have no room to talk, i know that it is a biblical belief.

Are these girls trying to find a loop hole to the bible so that they can give head??? I do not understand, why people don't understand that sex, be it oral, anal, or vaginal is plain old sex.:confused:

actually, i think there is somewhere in the Bible that states that a man's woo-hah can't go anywhere but in a woman's cha-cha.....which means, of course, that the booty AND the mouth are off limits......pre-marriage or otherwise.

Really, I agree with you about the sex definition, though I'm not qualified to talk about the sin issue.

I think if you subscribe to a moral system, and willfully do things to circumvent the tenents of that system, it weakens the tenets of that system and you're not a true subscriber. In fact, it probably makes you a hypocrite. If I considered myself a Christian, and I had oral/anal sex willfully circumventing the Ten Commandments, then I would be a sinner. But, since I'm not a Christian...any sort of premarital sex isn't a sin in my book.

Reference the story of Onan (in Genesis, I think) about him spilling his seed (while on a date w/ Rosie Palms and her 5 sisters) and it being an abomination. And then there's the sermon where Jesus says that if you lust for a non-spouse w/ your heart or eyes (or any other part, I'm assuming) that it is a sin. So I would say that oral sex (or any kind of touchy feely) out of wedlock is a sin, according to the Scriptures. Any guesses on if it's a no-no if you are married???
