Switching Sides... Prt II (THE NERVES OF SOME!)

OK, I am not trying to be messy but someone needs to be dealt with. I am a SF, and it is not my job because I am NOT a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha or Delta Sigma Theta. (Dang I wished I could you the quoting sytem!!!)

So I am bringing to the attention of members and SF's that try to be helpful to others in their quest for information. Ok a few days ago a SF inquired on DC Grad chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha on this board. I was going to reply, but someone had beat me to it (I inquired on the same topic for a friend back in September and was going to pass on the information.) But I just didn't...
I am one to check other threads throughout greekchat. And guess what I find.... The SAME SF that inquired about AKA, now saying she was interested in DST. I will let you go to the DST board to read for yourself EXACTLY what she said because I cannot even let her ill-logic in my head. But, Not only did she say she was interested in DST now, but she had the audacity to...well just READ IT FOR YOURSELF!!!

12dn94dst 01-26-2001 04:20 PM

BREATHE, girl BREATHE!! LOL

I came back here to watch the issue unfold on the DST board, and I decided to pop over here to see if she posted anything remotely related to what she posted this morning, though I doubt she'd say EVERYTHING she had to say this morning over here. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/rolleyes.gif But you are SO right, the nerve of some people.

Thanks for the support...common sense is coming back in style http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif

Girl, you need to change your name!!! I have no idea how tall you are but I here by Christen you "Inch High Private Eye" You be on the case!!! LOL

I saw both posts, but I have a bad habit of not really reading the names, so I did not put 2 and 2 together.

BTW on the quote thing.....Look at the very top of each post and you will see some icons. The very last one has a red arrow coming from a piece of paper. If you click that icon on the post that you want to quote it will open up a reply screen with the post already there. I don't know if this will work from forum to forum though.

AKAdemic1 01-26-2001 04:39 PM

Her "views" about my founders and their "wishes" are so moronic, that I won't even bother to dignify them with a reply.

Why do interested parties think that they can come on the internet and say such things with no repurcussions? In her two posts, she provided 1. Where she went to school, 2. Her graduation year, and 3. Her current location. Any member of AKA and DST in a DC/MD grad chapter who reads this board should be on the lookout for this person.
Also, remember is this: there are less than six degrees of separation in (and between) greek organizations, and when it comes down to those who are suspect- we do talk!! I have seen more than a few IG's get shut out. Don't think it can't happen to you!

Testing..Lets see if this works.
BTW, I live in MD, attend school in DC and work in VA! As a interest of Alpha Kappa Alpha, I WILL BE ON THE LOOKOUT!! ROTFLMAO
I WANT TO STAY AS FAR AWAY AS I CAN FOR THIS CHARACTER!

HEY, THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
I am still on the case. I noticed that you and this KWIKIT PERSON, both has a reference to SPELMAN. SHE SAYS SHE GRADUATED...DO YOU KNOW HER?

novella000 01-26-2001 05:02 PM

Go OOOHLALA!!! I agree with you 10,000% -- She did have a lot of nerver... And she wasn't apologetic at all (or so it seems). http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/rolleyes.gif

I saw that too. It looks as if she graduated in 2000. I am an old head. When I graduated she was probably in elementary school! I do, however, know someone who graduated in the class of 2000 from Spelman...

novella000 01-26-2001 05:11 PM

It shouldn't be too hard for someone to find her... Silly women, the comments they make, and the trouble they find themselves in...

What the HECK?

Being the helpful sistah friend that I am, I was the one who told the child how to find the DC chapter's website. I usually peep the DST board but hadn't today until I saw this post. Like someone said...a lot can happen in two days. No wonder she doesn't have an email address listed.

SWEETAKA 01-26-2001 07:21 PM

I went and read the post and all I have to say is: Oh My God! OKAY! Is she serious?????

DELTABRAT 01-26-2001 07:30 PM

I cannot believe the nerve of this person. We most likely will not be hearing from her anymore. She could change her name and then continue to act dazed and confused. Some people just have very little sense.

http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/frown.gif http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/frown.gif http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/frown.gif I can't BELIEVE THIS!!! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/eek.gif http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/eek.gif She CAN'T be serious. I think that she is just trying to start some MAD drama! Little does she know, we are educated, intelligent, women. I still can't believe that she had the gall to say what she said on DST board, and the AKA board. I guess people have to learn the hard way. Next thing you know, she will be talking about Delta on the Zeta Board, and Talk about ZPhiB on the SGRho board as well.... she is just a confused individual who needs prayer!!!!!

Conskeeted19 01-26-2001 09:25 PM

Hi Sorors, and Sisterfriends,

Ok, where have I been! Let me scoot over and see what's going on! I'll be back in a minute.

Ok, why did I have to breath and read and breath and read and breath and read! As my grandmother use to say "Smells like someones tryin to create a lil afriction," and I do mean afriction.

As I read her post, it made me think of how people beleive that AKA's and DST's hate each other. I feel that Kwikwit or whatever her name is felt like the Delta's were going to have a condescending tone towards our wonderful sisterhood. She did not get the expected response. She probably tried to get accepted to our sorority and got a resounding NO and is now bitter. Some people don't care about the particular sorority; they just want to be greek. If I would not have pledged AKA, I would not be greek. Some folks just want the letters! Hey sorors "Shake them haters off" LOL

I work with a person like this. At first she asked me questions about when, where, and how about AKA. I told her she needs to wait for info given during rush. She said her aunt is an AKA in another city so she was really interested. The next time I saw her she was saying a person who works with us and who is a DST said she could sponsor her. Mind you--the DST and I are very good friends. I was like okay--whatever. Then the next week she came back and said since the DSTs were not having a line, she would have to go AKA. (Mind you--this lady is in her 40's and interested in undergrad.) She was still trying to get whatever info. She also knows AKAs in my grad chapter so I told her to call whomever and speak directly to them and walked out of the room. (Mind you--also-that the undergrad chapter is our baby and where I came through. In fact, I still have ls in the chapter.) I looked at her like she was crazy because she does'nt know any better. I spoke to my DST friend who looked a bit disgusted. I also later talked to the Soror I knew she called. Soror said she might go to the city her aunt is in but noway--nohow is she coming through here. All she wants is the letters no matter what they are. We don't need people like that in our organization.

Okay Sorors and fellow sorority sisters,

I haven't seen the post. And if I read it, I will put her in check for you... I'd be more thank happy to... Maybe I shouldn't 'cuz I'll laugh first then start "hazing" her second. That's what I call a "SKATER"...

Okay, some ill serious sistafriends/prospectives, what's up with these switches? I ain't tryin' to hoard, but really, you can't be fraternizing with other orgs and think we don't compare notes? Or, do you?

CinnamonInsight 02-04-2001 05:23 AM

I read Kwik's post in DST's forum http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/eek.gif and all I could do was shake my head. I'm just a SF putting my two cents in...and Lord knows that child is stirring up a world of mess for herself. That po' baby needs to get her head checked http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/rolleyes.gif...I don't even think she knows who she is! Umph umph umph. I see that there is a detective on the scene, so it looks like Kwik had better watch her every step! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif I think it's time for a sing-a-long..."It always feels like somebody's watching me!" And, yes, I took it back to the old school...w/ my 80's childhood memories! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/tongue.gif Don't act like you don't remember Video Soul w/ Donnie Simpson! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif
