I was watching VH1's True Spin and they dispelled the rumor that Turning Japanese was about masturbation. I can't remember what they said it was about though.....

i have heard the song 'touch of my hand'. it sounds really awesome. it has a cool beat. i am not ashamed to say that i cannot wait for this album!!!!

Well crap. Because of this thread I just had to go to mtv.com to listen to it, and then I listened to her other songs on the album. And they're catchy. My friends would give me all kinds of hell if they knew I was voluntarily listening to Britney Spears.
But AlphaGamDiva, I still agree with you that the Vu is the perfect place for her. :p

can't stand her. her voice is so whiny. she sounds like a 12 year old girl when she sings...if she sings at all and doesn't lip-synch like last night:rolleyes:

Has anyone bought the album yet? Care to post a review? I generally like Britney and think she is harmless..the media just attacks her for dong the same things J Lo, Madonna, Beyonce, etc have been doing for years. Give the girl a break!

AMEN Anchorgirl!!!! It amazes me how many people rant and rave about her, but still continue to come to these threads to do so. If you don't like her, don't read about her. :) It's really that simple.

I haven't bought the cd yet, but I heard all of it on the Leak. I think it's really good. I also liked the ABC special. The girl dances her ass off!!

This is kinda off topic, but what is up with X-tina dissing Britney all of a sudden? I like her and her music alot, but sometimes she can be a snarky b@#$h. :rolleyes:

That reminds me of when I was an undergrad. A 25 year old brother, a former Marine, told everyone that he had a video tape of Linda Lovelace doing it with a german shepard. Everyone, including myself, was really excited to see it. About 30 of us piled into a 12' x 15' room to watch. About 30 seconds into it, I wanted to throw up. The room emptied out with disappointment, and nausia, real fast.

That is what the desire to hear a new Britney song reminds me of.

and as far as britney doing what jlo, beyonce, madonna, etc have done....not exactly. that hurts to see her put in the same category. :o beyonce never rode the purity train...nor did j.lo and especially not madonna. britney rode the purity train b/c she thought it would work for her, but when she noticed it wasn't drawing in crowds more than 11 yr old kids, she jumped ship to the ho train and <toot toot> away she went.

she just annoys me b/c she has NO singing talent whatsoever. it's fiiiine to pay her the big bucks for stipper talent b/c yeah, she can bust a move. just bust a move with your mouth shut, ok? ;)

j.lo isn't a great singer and (hold your flame) neither is madonna. but they are super duper entertainers (j.lo has said the same thing about herself....can't sing, but entertains...blah blah)....britney is "all about the music" and i'm just like ":rolleyes:"
