Is this a football or basketball game going on in Oklahoma?? 42-0 at the half!!!!????

This is soooo mean! How could even start a thread like this? I love... lol! By the way, the score is 49 - 0 just before the half.

docetboy 11-08-2003 03:04 PM

It's not really that mean...as A&M knew they were going to play bad today - I just expected them to get a few points on the board - this is a whitewash!

And i'm not a fan of either team, I just like a quality football game where there are two teams playing, not just one :)

ThetaPrincess24 11-08-2003 03:06 PM

hmmmmmm. Even my Kentucky Wildcats arent that bad :p No offense to anyone :)

I was kidding about the mean part. I don't care who wins this one.

docetboy 11-08-2003 03:09 PM

Hehe. And according to ESPN.com, it's 42-0 at the half, CBS Sportsline says 49...

Who knows whats true? Does it really matter???? :)

No, he's not.

Chuck's capable of being a good winner and not kicking people when they're down.

Otherwise known as class.

I am going to have the good grace not to comment either way on this game....

 (sitting over here being miss good sport)

ZTAAboveAll 11-08-2003 03:27 PM

at least we scoreed in the first half....haha

Aggies suck!!!

AlphaSigOU 11-08-2003 03:40 PM

I was expecting OU to be at least a little gentle on the Aggies, the only opposition to the Sooners that I respect. But running up the score on 'em? A little too much. You already covered the Vegas spread with points to spare...

Still... I just gotta say:

BOOMER SOONER!!!

wreckingcrew 11-08-2003 03:47 PM

Boomer Sooner Chuck. Congrats to you and your boys for avenging our upset last year in CS. Win out and take the whole damn thing.

KS 361 times i thank God for Baylor and Kansas in times like this

It's ok Kitso, I still love you. And don't be too sad, my Tigers got their ass kicked by Oklahoma as well. Though I think we got like 10 points or something. Still though, it was rough.

However, when the Aggies come here next weekend I will be glad to see us kick their butts.

;) :) :D

AlphaSigOU 11-08-2003 03:53 PM

Kitso... this one's for you and the Aggies:

GO AGGIES!!!!

SAW VARSITY'S HORNS OFF - WHOOP ON THE TEASIPS!!!!

wreckingcrew 11-08-2003 04:00 PM

Chuck, seriously.

Get on the damn phone and tell stoops to start the kneel downs ;)

Holy lord this is getting ugly. But ya see, we're doing this to help OU win the MNC. And, at the same time, setting up Mizzou and t.u. by giving them a lot of false confidence going into our last 2 games ;)

Before the Nebraska game i was thinking bout going to the game in Columbia, now i'im glad i didn't get tickets. :p

Wow, did y'all know that Dr. Pepper and Crown isn't that bad?

ETA: Texags.com, the A&M BBS i frequent has crashed. Hope you Sooners are happy :)

swissmiss04 11-08-2003 04:23 PM

What channel is carrying the game?! I gotta see this...

wreckingcrew 11-08-2003 04:28 PM

well chuck,

apparantly you just got through to bob. Although, it's pretty damn embarrassing that the only way y'all are stopped from hanging a hundred on us is by quitting.

Rock Bottom folks, nowhere for us to go from here, but up.

Kitso
KS 361 points stoops coulda hung on us today, if he was so inclined

kstar 11-08-2003 04:58 PM

Kitso...

My best friend (an Aggie!) and I were sitting together for the game. We're both hoping that A&M are just saving their energy and strength for next week.

And I was hoping that it wouldn't be such a one sided game, I mean, ya'll beat us last year!

Here's hoping the people at the bars go easy on us... (I'm wearing an A&M sweatshirt.)

AlphaSigOU 11-08-2003 05:02 PM

I went to the basketball game and got a football game instead... I want my money back! :) ;) :D

Some way to get revenge over the upset at the 12th Man last year... just be sure you Aggies beat the sh*t outta the Sips!

DeltAlum 11-08-2003 05:50 PM

Sooner (no pun intended) or later someone is going to say that this Oklahoma team may be the most dominant team in college football history.

They may be right. I can't think of too many weaknesses.

The score may hurt, but the Aggies have been beaten by the very best -- at least this year.

From someone who witnessed this event... it was 49.

All I can say is that the Aggie Band is the first I've seen in awhile that's received a standing ovation at halftime. They were great! Precision drills are pretty cool.

The Aggie yells were pretty nice as well. I commend their folks for mostly staying around til the end of the game. You usually don't get that with the visiting team down 77-0.

Barring some major upset like OSU beating Miami last year it looks like the title can be handed to OU right now.

I think you're right. I don't care for them, but they seem to be in a class above the rest this year. They are this years best.

Some folks wouldn't consider that an upset.

Especially after what Miami has done this season.

So far they're beating OSU for most losses.

However, I think they still hold the streak for fair weather wins at home not on election day.

The Hurricanes have been downgraded to a tropical depression (I made that up:D  )

Thrillhouse 11-09-2003 12:09 PM

I meant last years bowl game. Outside of the state of Ohio or fans of the team, who would have though the buckeyes would win?

Everyone I talked to agrees that no one will touch Oklahoma this year. The interesting part is who will be #2? Seems like it will be USC but the pac ten is rough. LSU still has some tough games left including the SEC title game if they make it. Michigan and Ohio St square off, maybe Michigan can sneak up to #2 and get blasted by Oklahoma(but at least they'd make it):D That would be cool:cool:

That was an interesting question. Here in Denver they swtiched away to another game after halftime because the score was so lopsided -- so the second half wasn't on here at all.

Oh well, we only missed 28 points.

I meant last years bowl game. Outside of the state of Ohio or fans of the team, who would have though the buckeyes would win?

Well, for one, I did. Ohio State had an offense that seemed to be able to score just enough points to win, and a fearsome defense. Miami Had a prolific offense and a questionable defense.

In those cases, the strong defense generally wins. Or at least that's the was the coaches feel.

I still think it was the finest college football game I've ever seen -- and I've seen a awful lot of them.

Tom Earp 11-09-2003 12:27 PM

Damn, what a major upset weekend espc. with kitso Aggies! OOOOIE! Sorry kitso while not an upset, damn what a blow out!

One of my red and gold teams The Gorillas of PSU won against a ranked team, so are 8-1 for the season and play in Arrow Head Stadium next Sat. Oh, ArrowHead is the home of my other red and gold team------Da Chiefs!

Wish it was going to be on TV so you could look for ME!;)

aggieAXO 11-09-2003 12:32 PM

We had better beat t.u. otherwise I will have to wear a burnt orange sweatshirt all day due to a bet I made earlier this year-yuk!
Living in Austin I am so sick of seeing burnt orange everywhere. All of my neighbors went to t.u. but I finally got an Aggie flag to
hang in front of my house.

I don't know why I though of this years teams, my bad. Krenzel may not be flashy but he finds a way to win almost every time. This years OSU-Mich game should be a dandy since OSU's defensive strengths should negate Michigan's offensive strengths.

MereMere21 11-09-2003 12:40 PM

I hate games when it is so one sided - very boring

I think the ags will pull it out against T.U. this year. I say that every year though.....usually just to piss off my longhorn brother :p
