Hustle Man from "Martin" has his own show

Morgan's Sitcom to Debut on NBC
1 hour, 35 minutes ago

LOS ANGELES - One show's cancelation is another's chance for success, the lucky program in this case being Tracy Morgan's new sitcom.

NBC, revamping its schedule after axing "Coupling," has set "The Tracy Morgan Show" to begin airing next month.

The former "Saturday Night Live (news - Y! TV)" star's comedy will debut at 8 p.m. EST Tuesday, Dec. 2. Morgan plays a hardworking family man who runs an auto repair shop in the series, which co-stars Tamala Jones (news).

Hummmm

Yeah I saw that last night I just don't know about this one....lol...

ClassyLady 11-07-2003 08:46 PM

I hope it's funny because I love Tracey Morgan. He is hilarious on Crank Yankers and Spoony Love. I also enjoy his video game commercials with Warren Sapp and Big Ben Wallace. I never thought he was funny on Saturday Night Live though. Seems like he never got any shine.

ttt

I love Mr. Morgan but I am not feeling his smart aleck son. Kids with smart mouths is something I don't really care for.

lovelyivy84 12-02-2003 05:11 PM

This show looks stupid, and yes that kid looks SO irritating.

Thumbs down.

WenD08 12-02-2003 05:37 PM

i concur, that little kid really irritates me. i can't deal w/his mouth. if they minimize him or give him the boot, i'll watch.

Honeykiss1974 12-02-2003 05:52 PM

Glad its not just me...

I am not feeling this show either. :(

CrimsonTide4 12-02-2003 09:24 PM

watching it now

1. man with the flip (Freddie) --

2. Bernard. . .Heavy D has lost weight.

That oldest son is just not cute to me. He also needs to endorse BRACES. :o

Diva_01 12-03-2003 03:14 PM

ummm...

anyone notice money mike (the magically delicious pimp) from friday after next???
(or is that bernard?)
Ha...
Not the best show...I'd rather watch the simple life...

vanda 12-03-2003 04:07 PM

Why am I hating on Mike because his hair looks better than mine?

That little boy!?!? If he was cute, maybe it wouldn't have been so bad.

lostnfound117 12-03-2003 07:16 PM

it was ok...i was happy to see the pimp from "friday after next". he is so funny. heavy d looks good too. i think it is a little "too black" for nbc. dont' see it really lasting....

I liked him on Saturday Night Live, but I think that I was just partial to Brian Fellows -- that was a funny bit.

I thought the show was ok, and y'all know I'm the one that always thinks that these new black shows are horrible, but just like My Wife and Kids, Girlfriends, and Half and Half I will give this show a chance as well.

Ok, I see that I am the only one that likes that youngest child. His voice alone really cracks me up, and that oldest child is the kid from Brown Sugar. He played Taye Diggs at a young age, I was trying to figure out where I knew his face from, and I saw that video from the movie with him in it.

CrimsonTide4 12-04-2003 09:07 AM

Soror I remember giving you a hard time about MW&Kids but now I cannot stand to watch that show so I don't, LOL.

I looooved that youngest son. He had me HOLLERING when he was standing on the coffee table to play the cello. How come tracey jumped from FLUTE to Cello. What happened to the sax, trumpet, drums!?!!?

I liked the show. I will watch again. I liked seeing a Black man who is not a doctor talking to his kids. I loved that the one son is really into his school work and the other one appears to be pretty well grounded as well. I loved how he walked out the door that morning telling his family that he loved them.

I will watch again TONIGHT. :D

No Kim, I like the youngest child as well. It's the oldest child I don't like. Doesn't anyone remember him from his PeoplePC commercials. "Hello, I'm Marc John Jeffries for PeoplePC."

Yup I remember that as well, I remember that I was really ragging on MW&Kids, and now you don't even watch it...U know that is hella-funny now right.

I was carcking up too when the youngest son was standing on the table to play the cello. I'm definitely going to watch it again. I think that I will be taping One on One, and watching Tracy Morgan.

I LOVE Brian Fellow! lol Ohhhh Chal But the show is ok...the youngest is quite annoying though...I dunno....

AKA2D '91 12-05-2003 10:58 AM

That lil Christmas Diddy was too funny. Mr Prince wannabe had me LMAO! :D

Unfortunately, I am not a Tamala Jones fan. She reminds me of Elyse Neal. I'm not a fan of hers either.

The other son is aggravating. His acting "style" reminds me of lil Nate of Y&R.

enlightenment06 12-05-2003 12:32 PM

I like The Tracy Morgan Show. From the support NBC has been giving it I suspect it'll be on for a few successful seasons, God willing.

And it's mad funny too

I watched the show for the first time last night and I will watch it again though every time I see the oldest child I wonder why didn't his mother shape his head when he was a baby? Mothers puhleeze if your child comes out with conehead or head of Frankstein or any alien type head please shape. Thanks

Isn't it the same actor using the word actor lightly? After those "people pc" commercials that big headed chile was everywhere for a minute.

I really tried to like this show, but I'm just not feeling it (yet). Smart alecky kids are not amusing to me and the whole "She's a brick house" over a 12 year old girl was disgusting...its bad enough if the kids acted that way but the father?

I agree since NBC placed it on its precious Thursday night maybe they'll give it time to develop.

AKA2D '91 02-04-2004 01:52 PM

HC the show has been moved to Saturday (I think) night?

Good since I always missed it on Tuesdays. It was competing with AI and for some, One on One.
