Being Famous
 

I was wondering, how do you know if you're actually famous? Or what about being semi-famous? I was talking with friends over the weekend and I came to the conclusion that I'm known all over my state. Since I started college I can't go to one decent sized city for any length of time in my state without seeing somebody that knows me. Whether its out on the town enjoying the nightlife, a restaraunt, a gas station, the airport, the beach or anywhere.....I see someone that knows me. This has led me to think about going into politics or acting, both of which I think I'd be very good at. In any case, is anyone else like this? Or is it just me?




-This isn't one of those "I'm all that" threads. I'm really curious if whether or not I'm about to make it big in the near future.

I don't know....why don't you come out to PLUSH wed. night and you find out for yourself. Its 1$ drinks all night, college night. My boy got some new unreleased white label promos that Lil'John and the East Side boyz did. Been lightin the club up for 2 weeks now.

i cant. i have to wake up at 4:15 a.m. on thursday to go to work.:(

Thats just an excuse. See, I know you don't drink. That said, you can show up for about an hour and make an appearance. Its not like you're gonna have a hard time getting up from being drunk. You can show up at 11pm, that way I'll get a chance to actually talk to you instead of running around everywhere.

Which one do you work at? The one by 9A and Beach Blvd or the one off of Hodges?

i work at the one on 3rd street between beach blvd. and j.t.b. come by between 10 a.m. and 11:15a.m. i work tomorrow and thursday.

Huh? Gimme an idea of of something that I know is around there. Is it towards San Pablo? Right before the intercoastal?

I thought people still stuck in the late 90's are bad......

well i did notice the mighty fine mullet on Kip, however, i have no idea what band he plays in.

Back in the 80s I was watching Papa Smurf.....I wasn't listening crazy men playing on stupid looking guitars while shaking their permed hair around in circles. The sight of seeing trailor trash going crazy over Van Halen was not appealing to me.

Famous is not a well-defined term..

I had my fifteen minutes.

Used to anchor a couple of nights per week on my alma mater's nightly newscast. Did reporting there to and a 30 minute special that they still rerun.

My face was shown (and still sometimes is) for around 2 hours per day (counting reruns of the newscast) on the local cable access channel. We put together a pretty darned good newscast, so folks around town do watch.

I got "recognized" a few times. I suppose that's what you can measure your degree of fame by. How many folks recognize you or your accomplishments without you having any contact with them whatsoever.

My points to be made this evening:
1) This Kip Winger/Sebastian Bach stuff is ALREADY OLD

2) How can cashmoney's allegedly famous self live it up w/ his buddy smiley21 if he freaking lives in NJ? Duh

3) This forum sucks now. It has nothing to do w/ the new mods or the departure of ZetaAce. It has everything to do w/ the type of threads that have been started in the past couple days. My advice: some people need a life. A real one, if possible.

You guys, simmer down. UF Pike simply meant he is famous in his Junior College hair club for men. He's not only a client, he's the President.

His non-educated azz said FAMOUS, when he really meant POPULAR...which is kind of ironic since he is neither.

Ok I really don't care about UFPike aka UFPikePC98 aka Sverige aka Cashmoney and if he feels he's famous, then that's cool for him...

However, this is the funniest thing I have read all day and it definately made me almost spit my water out. Thanks librasoul. :D ;)

I think you're famous when Letterman asks you to come be interviewed on his show. :D

I mean when I go home sure I see people who know me at the grocery store, blockbuster, Mall, Bar ETC ETC.... and I have people ask me all the time .... "did you dance, or did you go to M-A High school" it just means I've lived there a while and did a few things that got my face known.

You're famous when you hang out with other famous people. When people take your picture when you don't want them to, when really, if you weren't famous, they'd be arrested for stalking, then you're famous.

On a serious note, I think I'm about to be really famous. I've had this feeling for a while now that I'm destined to achieve some great and become famous, what it is I don't know......but, people will know who I am because something extraordinary.
