Girls that are trendy Bi-sexual

I've been noticing more and more girls that are becoming Bi-sexual. They say its trendy. I was on another board and I made a comment about this one chick having a dirty clit, then her friend jumps in defending her. I told she didn't have to come her friends aid unless she was a clit licker. It turns out she was, and about 7 other girls on that board. I don't know what to think about it all. How many other people hear that being bi-sexual is becoming a trend? A friend of mine had a party about 4 weeks ago. They were all messed up and it was 4-5:00am. My friend said they were all in the living room of his house, on floor, doing whatever. Then he said two of the girls there started making out and rubbing each others clits. Both of them had guys with them. Then another girl started licking the the toes of my boys girlfriend. His girlfriend stopped her from continuing. At first he said he was like " WTF is going on here?", then they calmed down and the boys jumped in....the next day he asked one them WTF was the rubbing clit and sucking toes thing all about.....she said "a lot of girls get like that when they're really messed up".

Do any of you buy it, or is it just for attention?

I don't buy into this at all. I don't believe you can have it both ways.
But in reference to the question... Newsweek devoted a cover story to this trend back in 1995. So I would not say this is a new trend that is emerging. Since that was over eight years ago, I would say it is more like a minor segment of the population now. Just depends on the people you hang out with.

i don't think he's referring to actual bi-sexuals, just that it's becoming more prevalent for young women to "experiement" with other women.

Be it at clubs, parties, dorm rooms, etc. nowadays you see a lot more of this trendy 'girl on girl' action. For the most part, i think its the same women that you see on those Girls Gone Wild videos, the girls who will do anything for a bit of attention from guys.

that being said. I am not opposed to this issue ;)

LUG....Lesbians Until Graduation.

Lots of these chicks will trot back to their hometowns, marry the sweet boy from high school, and turn into June Cleaver.

It's annoying, kind of like all those people who never liked U2 until they got really overplayed.

See, as a man, if you find out that your GF did stuff like that, you can't get mad at it. In fact, it'd be cool to have her tell you everything she did EXACTLY. I'd just be like " Wow, you did that? Can we?" How can she say no?

A) Be prepared for it to be someone not attractive.
B) They still say no because it's like oh you're so special and i don't want to share you.

It's a trend that's been around for a while, but it's gained increasing popularity with a more mainstream crowd in recent years.

It's not really that hard to explain. Usually either one of two situations are at play:

(1) Straight women realize they can get attention from guys by pretending to bisexual, since guys are into this.

(2) Women who have always wanted to "experiment" are now finding it socially acceptable and are more likely to do it than they would have been 15 years ago.

I would be mad as hades. Sorry, I would consider it cheating...

No no no, not having an actual threesome (which WOULD be awesome), but I was refering to the specific ACTS committed while she was with her.......homegirl.

I'm pretty sure she didn't remove a lot of those manuvers from her sexual vocab.

LuaBlanca 10-30-2003 05:57 PM

i've kissed some of my girlfriends but it wasn't in a sexual sort of way. yes, some of those times were when we were drunk, but other times we weren't.
there was a night, sitting around with some friends watching MadTV and that russian lesbian duo "Tatu" were performing. 2 of my guy friends turned to one of my female friends and i and said "if you guys get up on the coffee table and mimic everything they do, we'll each give you $20." we did, they liked it, it meant nothing. neither of us was "experimenting" it was just a gag.

a thing we do "for protection" when we go out to clubs is if we're dancing and a sketchy guy comes up and tries to dance with us we'll pretend we're lesbians and kiss. they'll usually stand around and watch us kiss for a sec and then leave. if they don't leave we stop kissing and go back to dancing. they usually leave after that.

as far as i'm concerned none of this mean i'm gay, or bi sexual for that matter. it's just pointless messing around. and i know a lot of people that do it.

cashmoney 10-30-2003 06:31 PM

I can see a girl pretending to be a lesbo by kissing, but rubbing clits? C'mon....I think there's a little more to it than just pretending.

It was trendy 11 years ago when Sharon Stone made it "fashionable" in Basic Instinct, which was on the screens in 1992.

I guess maybe its just going more mainstream than in the past. Still, I wouldn't want to see my GF getting off by some girl rubbing her clit. In my view thats my pu$$y, not some other girls.

IheartMATT806 10-30-2003 06:58 PM

Okay MAYBE this is just my school but it IS tready for girl on girl action. At almost every party i attend there are girls making out. Its somewhat normal and at times egged on by both males AND females.

I dont really see anything wrong with it. I mean if these gurls wanna make themselves look sluty becuase they think its fashionable then more power to them.

This isnt only a "thing" at my school but also among alot of guys that I hang out with. Its just harmless fun in most peples eyes.

Half of the girls that do this are starving for attention but when it all comes down to it they will end up marrying a man and are in no way attractive to females.

I guess its just a college party thing. (Then again I do attend one of the wildest party schools of the east coast so who knoeS?!)

At the bar one of my sisters pointed out this girl to me and she was like yeah she always booty calls me... it's so weird... 20 minutes later, I'm talking to my friend in Beta, and the same girl comes over to me and the same sister, and he introduces me to the booty caller, aka, his girlfriend! She's really pretty, but I was like, hmmm wonder if he knows about his girlfriend. They're not together anymore.

It is totally an attention thing... I may have been known to do it once or twice in my lower-self esteem days (although I never kissed my girl friends - just lots of dancing and flirting). Guys ate it up... :)

Also, it is a money maker. I know lots of friends who have made out in front of random drunk guys who offered them free drinks and/or cash.

If that's not one of their motives, then I guess they really are bi-curious or bi.

GMUBunny 05-14-2004 03:49 PM

Here goes nothin....

As an openly bisexual woman, I hate to see girls just do it for attention. There were so many girls in my high school that would brag about stuff just to get guys to be interested in them. I personally took a lot of sh*t from people and had a hard time being who I was without constantly being criticized. Yeah I'd get the, "so, wanna have a threesome?" or "dude, can I watch?" comments and it irritated the hell out of me. Not all bisexual people are quick to jump into bed with two other people, and not all of us are sex fiends.

In college I was more accepted, but people didn't grow up much for the most part (can't believe I thought they would  ). I tend to keep to myself about my personal life unless someone asks, because I don't want it broadcast. I'm not open for business 24/7. You want that, go to 7-11.

Do you think you were actually born Bi-sexual or that maybe you had a fucked up childhood or some sort of traumatizing experience in your life to where you just went crazy? Or is it that you just like feeling as though you're in control in the bed and thats what drives you to be bi-sexual? I'm only asking because I'm trying to get an understanding as to why people become gay/bi-sexual when we're, as humans, inheritly heterosexual.

Sister Havana 05-14-2004 04:49 PM

This is not a new trend at all. I remember the whole lesbian-until-graduation thing going on when I was in college in the early 90s. Yes, you see more of girl-on-girl kissing and stuff on TV now these days (witness the last few seasons of The Real World, for example), but that's because what can go on TV has changed. When I was back in college, when Roseanne kissed Mariel Hemingway on an episode Roseanne, it made news. Now it's almost seen as no big deal.

Okay, to be totally honest, yes I think this is something I've carried with me throughout my entire life. Some of the severity to which I went totally bonkers when I first became sexually active was due to my environment when I was about 8 years old, though.

When I was about 6, my best girl friend and I would play house and now that I look back on it, it wasn't normal. Our actions weren't those that I believe were typical of playing house. I was fixated on her and whenever we'd get bubble baths together I would have this curiosity eating away at me. As soon as it kinda became apparent as a teenager that I did have an attraction to other girls, everything clicked. I've been like this forever. From what I hear, she's a 100% genuine bisexual as well. We haven't talked since her sister's funeral a few years ago. We sought solace in each other and it ended up pretty bad.

Now for my going bonkers at 14 (yes, 14- but my first and I are still best friends and I don't regret anything other than being that young)... I was sexually molested by my babysitter's son when I was 8. At the time that the whole thing was going on, I didn't necessarily want it to stop (which is common in many child victims). I had that curiosity there and it didn't seem all bad in my mind. I honestly think, however, that had that not happened, I might have held onto my virginity longer and not gone buckwild (buck nekkid).

I can openly talk about this because molestation and abuse are things that NO ONE deserves to have done to them. There are so many other people out there that it's happened to, and unfortunately many of them won't talk about it. I want other people who may be hiding their abuse to know that they have someone they can talk to who is 200% confidential. Talking about it can be such a relief. Yes, sometimes it means digging into that emotional vault and reliving the experience, but it's healing in many ways. Mr. Bunny knows what I've been through and while he can't understand how I feel, he knows that I fight it every day. He listens to me when I need it and he leaves me alone when I need that, too.

Okay, I'll step off my soap box now and get to where I belong at 3am- bed. If anyone ever wants to talk about any of this, please PM me. I'm a good listener and pretty decent at advice (except when it comes to myself, but isn't that always the case?)

ETA: I'm a freak in the bed, too... but no one's ever said it about me like it's a bad thing :D (I meant control freak...whatever)

I've heard the term B.U.G. used as in, "She's a bug." Bisexual Until Graduation. It's disrepectful to the LGBT community!!

I just read this and I remember LUGs too. Now, as I said, I'm hearing the term BUGs as well.
