I biked to work today. It was nice and hot.

bethany1982 10-30-2003 11:46 AM

Ice? It's been in the high 80's - low 90's here all week. It is going to cool down a bit today, but no ice.

MereMere21 10-30-2003 11:48 AM

maybe this isn't the time to tell you we are supposed to have upper 70's lower 80's for another week and a half ;)

I have a feeling I'll be shopping for our Christmas Tree in a short sleeve t-shirt.

Betarulz! 10-30-2003 11:50 AM

Sorry Kitso, scraping ice of your car before halloween...that's the first step down the path of turning into a damn dirty SoDak...I should know I live with enough of them!

Pretty soon you'll start spouting off how Sioux Falls is a utopian paradise, the corn palace is man's gift to god and other sorts of hogwash...

Lil' Hannah 10-30-2003 11:53 AM

I haven't had to scrape yet, but I did have to sit in the car and run the defroster for a few minutes before I could see out of the windshield last week.

aabby757 10-30-2003 11:56 AM

For about 10 days now. Adds at least 20 minutes to my morning now. It completely sucks.

We've had a couple of frosts already. :(

Makes me glad I have a nice garage to keep my car in. :p

ZTAngel 10-30-2003 12:22 PM

I'm in the office wearing a skirt and a short-sleeve shirt. The high is around 84 degrees today.

What's ice? :p

Munchkin03 10-30-2003 12:26 PM

No scraping. You know you've been in the Northeast too long when you think 50 degrees is warm. ;)

DZHBrown 10-30-2003 12:35 PM

I wish we had some weather like that! It's supposed to be back up to 80 today. :( I want cold weather! No more heat!

Me too! I'm so ready to actually start wearing some of the fall/winter clothes I now have hanging in my closet! It's supposed to be at least a little nippy by Halloween!

FAB*SpiceySpice 10-30-2003 11:54 PM

It was so hot today, I was sweating in all my classes b/c I think they've turned the heat on since last week it was like in the 30's and now it's high 70's/low 80's. Stupid Missouri weather!!!!!

Tom Earp 10-31-2003 12:01 AM

Oh kitso, hey Bro. , who asked you to stay in Kansas? I did not think you were a total Moron till now!:o

Damn dude, warm weather in Kansas, want to do a road trip? Hell you met a lot of the cops!:D Mon Down!

Unregistered- 10-31-2003 12:08 AM

Sorry Kitso, if it's any consolation I'd rather be in the cold right now.

It's been humid for the past week with no end in sight. Days without the tradewinds are N-A-S-T-A-Y.

Hootie 10-31-2003 12:14 AM

No ice this morning but I felt like at one point in time today it MIGHT just actually SNOW! Of course it doesn't help when the center of campus where everyone walks through to their classes is like a wind-tunnel

JUST SAY SNO!

wreckingcrew 10-31-2003 12:14 AM

and oh yes,

i had to scrape before i left for home tonight. The following is for all of y'all that posted from areas that had a high today over 60 degrees.

I HATE Y'ALL

Kitso

when i first moved to NC, it snowed like a week later. there was snow all over my car and my windshield was frozen.

i was like...uhh, wtf is this. i didnt know what to do, so i filled cups of hot water and waited for the ice to melt :(

DeltaSigStan 10-31-2003 12:50 AM

We've had to scrape the ash off our cars the last couple days.

But other than that....I'm from San Diego....what's snow?

DeltAlum 10-31-2003 01:49 AM

Got to scrape the car on the way home tonight, but thank goodness for it. The sudden cold snap and precip helped snuff out a couple of fairly dangerous wildfires that started yesterday here in the Denver area. So, at least here, it was good news.

Especially since most of our aerial tankers, and some of our fire crews, are out helping in SoCal.

And DeltAlum, thanks for all the help from your aerial tankers and fire crews....otherwise, I think we'd be clearing ash off of our cars for the next month and the fire would burn all of Southern California and over into Arizona.

Kitso, I remember the days of scraping ice off of the windshield...as a So Cal girl going to school in NW Indiana, there were many days of scraping ice before going anywhere! Hope it warms up a little for you up there...can't have a good 'ole Texas guy freezing his arse off, now can we? :D
