been at your current job? What's the longest you ever stayed at a job? What's the shortest amount of time you've stayed at a job?

I've been here two months
Longest job: 5 years.

I have been here for 3 yrs...and it's the longest i time i have worked at one job...

I have been here for seven years ( I just got promoted yay!)

The shortest I have worked is 2 days ( The other store caught fire and the workers there had seniority over me).

I've been at this hospital for 1 1/2 years. The shortest time was a part-time gig I had that lasted for 1 day. The longest was my stint at JC Penney through high school and part of college for 4 years.

Current job...it will be 4 years on the 27th of this month.

The longest was 5 years. I doubt I will break that record at my current job. A sista is looking right now.

The shortest was 6 months. Supv for Macy's Customer Service. That place was HELL ON EARTH.

Been here since June 2000. Longest been on a job: Nearly five years in Vegas.

Its funny but every job I have had (with the exception of one very forgettable experience!) has lasted approximately 18 months. In some instances, I changed 'jobs' (different responsibilities or a promotion) in the same position or just stayed with the same company in a different position. I guess 18 month is my boredom time period!

I have been at my current job for 2 and a half years. That is my longest. The shortest I lasted was 1 month at the Limited. (That particular store sucked. Maybe that is why is now CLOSED!)

My boredom point is about 18 months but I have stuck it out here because...well I felt like i needed some job on the resume that looked like a significant amount of time! But I am currently looking...

5 years on Nov. 20th, but I'll be teaching f/t (hopefully at the same school where I am now) after May '04! :D Until then, I'll just be where I am : rolleyes: - my longest stint ever.

Longest was 3 years.

Shortest was when I did orientation at Old Navy and decided to quit and work at Verizon. After that my next shortest would be Verizon and the US Postal Service (3 months each).

Longest job: 7 years--the job I had before this one. It was my goal to be fully vested in the retirement plan! LOL

Shortest job was slightly over 1 year.

I have this thing about committment and responsibility. I never could just quit a job!

I have been at my current job (social worker) for almost a year. My longest job (medical secretary) was for 7 years and my shortest job (cafe server at Borders Books) was 5 months.

been where I am now nearly 10 years (in January '04). Shortest time was during summer break at National Airport (now Reagan), although I worked there for several summers and a couple of Christmas breaks. Happened to be where I met Soror Norma Boyd, but that's another story. . .(sorry, I"ve been away from GC for 4 days and am trying to cram everything into one posting. . .)

I started my current job first as a temp, but after being there for a 1 1/2 years, got hired full-time (I am one of those City employees :D). My total time here is now about 2.5 years. This is the longest that I have been on any job. I will more than likely stay here until I finish graduate school.

Shortest amount of time on a job: 1 week.

The longest has been 4.5 years. The shortest was 2.5 months (summer job at Roy Rogers).

My current job for almost 2 years. The shortest was 1 day when I worked at my college dining hall. I thought I would be cashier and they tried to put me on dish duty........:mad: :rolleyes:I DON'T THINK SO!

1. I don't have one.
2. two years - the company went bankrupt
3. four days - the boss told his minions that he didn't think that things were working out with me and said "if that n*g*a doesn't pick up things quicker, she is outta here." I left immediately and filed a lawsuit; the case is still in litigation, but I am going to win because I have witnesses.
