Bad Boy's Da Band, which made an impressive debut on the Billboard 200 albums chart last week, has already started taping the third season of their MTV hit show, Making The Band.



The group hopes to build on the momentum generated by their CD Too Hot For TV, which bowed at Number Two on the pop albums chart last week. Recently group member Elliott Ness shared that he enjoyed being on television.


"Man I feel good about it," Ness said. "I love being on TV. I love getting paid even better for being on TV, so I'm speaking for myself you know what I mean? I think it's just like we going with the momentum. We TV personalities so what better way to just keep promoting Da Band then put us on for another season."


Too Hot For TV was produced by Wyclef Jean, Tony Dofat, Sean "P. Diddy" Combs, and the Trackmasters, and features a guest appearance by Mysterious. The first single from the set is "Bad Boy This, Bad Boy That."

I can't wait! Did they have three seasons last year with the Making of the Band?

Season 1: Finding DA BAND
Season2: DA BAND Recording etc, etc.
Season3: After the record drops ( I assume)

Diddy, mohawk and treadmill
 

This afternoon on TRL, Diddy is running on a treadmill to promote the fact that he is running the marathon for charity. http://www.kurts-smilies.de/laufband.gif He has a mohawk and he had his self-proclaimed manservant with him doing the James Brown thing with Diddy's towel.

I saw Da Band on The VIew yesterday and just have to wonder if Sara and Dylan felt as out of place as they looked being on stage and in the camera without a part in the song. They seemed to be just walking around the stage and occassionally shooting something out :confused: , but it just didn't come across as necessary. They were the definition of extra in my book....

I felt the same way! I was like I know they wanted to introduce the whole band but, Sara & Dylan had no parts & Sara trying to "rap" with Babs was just sad.

Who, Bentley? Or someone else? If it was Bentley, I thought that he had "moved on to bigger and better things" according to Puffy on one of the Making the Band episodes. :rolleyes:

Farnsworth Bentley (his self-proclaimed manservant) was dabbing his sweaty face and covering his shoulders with a towel as any good doo-boy would do. His trainer was there (the guy I saw on the "It's Good To Be P.Diddy" special on VH-1 - that trainer makes $200,000 to be his trainer), but it was Farnsworth who was at his beck and call playing the towelboy/doo-boy role that he has made so famous.

The new season of Making the Band II will premiere on Thursday, March 8 at 10/9 c. Of course I will be watching!! :D I WILL NOT be missing MTB!

Maybe bigger and better things refers to his line of umbrellas as well as his random cameos now. :rolleyes:

I too will definitely be watching. Da Band also has a new video called "Tonight". I saw it at launch.yahoo.com. It's the song that Sara practiced during the show.

It premiere's March 4th at 10:00pm and from watching the teaser on MTV.com, it's gonna be good, so I'll be watching too!

There's an article on Sara in Upscale magazine. She has her own label now :confused: and is reviewing scripts...She also said that she does not really feel the hip hop thing and sees herself as a pop or r&b singer, duh :rolleyes: Well, why did she even audition for Puff Daddy?!?!

I think Puffy plans to launch her as a solo artist eventually

She had to get her foot in the door some sort of way.... The band would be kind of wack without her. They would definitely need someone to fill in the R&B hooks. Maybe he can get Jonessa back. She would do it. Sara is trippin'. I would choke it back and do what it takes to stay down with Diddy.

I agree that Da band needed a singer, but not her in particular. I think there were some others during the competition that would have made a better fit.

But who knows maybe Puffy knew that Faith was sniffin the powder and he'd need a new female soloist soon.

I watched the marathon yesterday and I got a question. What the heck does Sara's husband do? Maybe my glasses were foggy, but in one scene she had on her wedding ring and band and homegirl was blinging!!! I also remember Chopper telling her that she didn't have to worry about nothing because she was going back to her 'big house in the 'burbs'.

interesting question 1SD! I was wondering that while she was away for so long during the show. He had to have been making some money for her to be gone for that long and he still provide for the family.

That was the scene when they were at Hot 97. She was rocking some bling. I don't know if it was costume jewelry or what because she has never worn it before or after that scene. I, too, want to know what Tony does because she was gone for a minute and he held it down with the three kids. That's a mystery. I may have to investigate.

YES! I was like DANNNNGG! From what I saw of it...it was definitely a bridal set. I also remember her speaking with Tony over the phone and him saying something to the extent of "F the money, we ain't hurting for no money...that's how they handle business...that's not how we handle business" This was the show when they were signing the contracts.

Well I don't know if y'all noticed that the bling bling came AFTER that check that they were all whining about.

I watched the marathon... Sara is there to balance out the ugly. Point blank. Dylan is the best looking guy on there, and that ain't saying a whole lot. She's weird looking to me, but definitely easier on the eyes than the rest of them. They look kinda crack-headish and she's got the big face like dude in mask (remember that movie with Cher). She can't come close to singing like faith... powder or no powder.

And question, why does Dylan's accent keep coming and going? Is he Ja-fakin'?

Either way, I will catch the new season when it is over - I'd rather waste one whole day, than to just waste time slowly over a whole season.

You right about Sara balancing out that ugliness. IMO, Chopper is the best lookin if he is freshly bathed. Dylan thinks he's that fiya...and from the previews, it looks like his attitude is still going to be the same on MTB3. I recall Diddy saying something to the effect of, "you still the one who disgusts me the most." LOL

OK, Where do I start? If this episode is what I have too look forward to, I won't be leaving home on Thursdays. This show is TOO funny!

1. How are you just gonna LEAVE a whole member of the band for some groupies?

2. How are you just gonna tell someone that they can't check on their family if it's not a life or death situation?

3. Tony looks like he is gonna come through and wreck shop. Looks like he is gonna tell them that Da Band ain't isht without Sara. Well, sorry to break it to them, but HE'S RIGHT!

4. Choppa....and Babs.... ONE HOT MESS!

5. I think I saw a clip of Ness welcoming a new baby. It looked like a premmie. Choppa is next because he is too hot in the pants.

6. Looks like A LOT of turmoil from here on out. I can't wait to see this season!

COSIGN!! I was like WHOA!!! Chopper and the "ho"peful (as Ness called her) in the limo was disgusting. Actually, ALL of the groupies were disgusting. Especially the one with the pink fishnets that kept sticking her tongue out. I finally saw Sara's bling, yeah just WHAT does Tony do? I will be glued to the tube on Thursdays with Survivor, The Appprentice, and MTBII. I wonder who leaves the group? I think it will be either Sara or Dylan.

YA'LL AIN'T RIGHT! JUST AIN'T RIGHT!

OMG - those groupies were downright BUSTED and GRIMEY looking!!! But then again, they guys are no Denzel and what not. Yuck anyhow.

This season will be full of drama and I intend on watching every step of the way. :)

I heard who it was a while back, but I wasn't sure if it was a rumor or not. I guess I will see. This season looks like it will be a trip. Does anyone know how well their CD has done? What is up with BAPS hair when it's in that baseball cap? I swear she looks bald. And is it me or does Chopper look like he just got his arse beat?

I was cracking up when Fredrick was like let's face it, Baps ain't j-lo, when babs freaked out because she had water on her butt. I also caught Sara's ring :eek: , and did anyone notice the clips of Baps and Chopper getting all friendly in the episodes coming up. Since they are making money, someone needs to buy Fredrick some anti-suck thumb solution, his big grown butt knows he needs to get his dirty thumb out of his mouth

When does it re-run...I missed it also...dang I knew it was something I was supposed to be watching last night. :mad:

I remember a post from the season 2 thread that stated Babs and Chop were busted having sex or something. Anyone else remember that?

i thought it was babs and fred. in any case, it's a pretty foul visual...

i'm going to have to disagree with whomever said that choppa is the best looking guy. even though he's a bit piggish-gorilla-ish looking, i think ness looks better. well, that may be because i think ness looks cleaner.

i can't believe they acted that way with sara. she took that better than i would've. i wouldn't have sat around ignoring them. i would have hurt somebody or at least somebody's feelings!

babs really made too big of a deal about the water. it wasn't piss!!! it was just some water! to talk about not going onstage because of it is riDAMNdiculous. she need not get a diva attitude. but it was pretty messed up that they left her for that rufflebait. she was right in saying those girls were tore up.

Ok, I saw the re-run today...Sara's ring was big, but not clear. The stones were very occluded and did not reflect the light at all.:rolleyes: And yes those hoochies were busted, but Babs looks like she could be one of them....I want her NOT to have bags under her eyes like she is carrying luggage or something. Also, I want her to be able to pronounce the word HECTIC! Dang these folks better hope the record sells so that they will NEVER have to enter a REAL job market.:mad:

It's a nice ring, but, Sara and Tony ain't never gonna have as much money as Diddy...he got 10 + years of money makin' to buy the jewlery that he does, lol...
