GC Tridelt Secret Sisters?
 

Hey fellow tridelts...
I know that there are not a lot of us on here at GC but I think what the DeeGees did with their secret sister pass is so cool. I would love to do something like that especially since there are so few of us so we could get to know one another! Just a thought...what do you guys think?

Well, hopefully some of the other tridelts on the board...I think that there are two or three more of regular GC tridelt members... or Goldendelta it looks like it will be me and you exchanging DDD gifts to one another!:D

What it is is that we exchange DDD gifts with each other across the country. If you check out DeeGee's forum, they have a whole link about it.

I think it would be a great way to get to know our GC tridelt sisters!

I just got back from our local Greek Store and they awesome new Tri Delta gifts! It's cool cause we're the only chapter on Long Island so all the Tri Delta items are ours! I'd love to share some with GC Deltas. Where is everyone???

i was just wondering wat your sorority is all about.
i have read up on teh texas a&m's site, emailed the girls, and they sent me information back. i was wondering if every chapter had the same philantropy, or if everyone's was different.
Anyways, i hope to become a tridelta in 2007...hehe...

Well I would love to do this!!!! Is it ok with policies though? For some reason a while back someone said that before we had little sisters we couldn't have secret sisters??? Don't know why??? It might be diff since we are all members??? If there is nothing in the policies about it then I would love to!!

Here is the deal with the limit...most people said they don't really have an upper limit. Another number thrown around was $25, which I think is pretty resonable (don't forget that INCLUDES shipping costs). Some also said they wouldn't mind spoiling their secret sister...so heres what I was thinking. You can spend as much as you want, but just realize that some sisters will be spending $25 or less total. Is that fair? Or should we just set the limit at $25?

I've got the web all worked out!! So I suppose the easiest thing would be to send me your addresses. And then I send your secret sister's address to you. I'll PM everyone to check this message, and send you my email address as well if you would rather email me your mailing address.

Does any of this make sense? Its finals time at grad school, and I think I'm losing it...

I'd do this, but it takes things about 10 days to come to/from Korea....

Ok, I survived my first semester of grad school- YAY!!!!

I'll PM you guys with who your secret sister is within the next few hours, and give you her address.

Should we pick a day when we all mail it out, so that everyone gets their present within the same time frame?

Remember, you can spend as much as you want...but don't expect more than $25 spent on you (including shipping). I had a wide variety of responses to how much $$ to spend, and some people said they didn't mind spending more.
For us poor people out there(or anyone, really)...may I suggest making a craft? Crafts aren't that expensive, but the time and effort factor makes it count.

Ok I got my secret sis! But I have a question. When we send the gifts do we say who we are or reveal later on in this thread? Cause I'll be at the mall tomorrow wrapping gifs with the Long Island alums (shameless plug in case anyone is at the Walt Whitman Mall tomorrow, lol) and I'll pick up the gift then and send it out Monday (if it doesn't snow).

Sorry for the rambling - it's been a long week.

I definitely think we should set a date that everyone should mail out their secret sister gift by.

I think we should revel in the letter/small note included in the package. Anyone disagree?

ETA: How about sending them out by Dec 31? Give everyone enough time?
