Man Bites Chicken, Gets Fried Rat

Mouse Fired Chicken -- a customer Popeye's chicken found this mouse in his fried chicken.
NATIONAL NEWS — A man bites into a piece of fried chicken and gets a nasty surprise.
A customer at Popeye's chicken in Baltimore went home with a three-piece combo, but when he bit down, he realized it wasn't chicken.

What he found, to his surprise, was a mouse. The mouse was found between the chicken skin and the meat of the chicken.

Health officials said that the mouse probably was cooked with the chicken. The restaurant has had prior complaints. It is still open, but inspectors are keeping a close eye on it.

Popeye's has declined to comment on the incident.

As much as I miss not having a POPEYES around, this makes me glad I don't because if it had been me with the mousy chicken, you all would have seen a new signature that said,

I was thinking the same thing--what in the heck are they doing still open??? :confused: I'm sad, b/c I love Popeyes, but that's beyond gross (the mouse being cooked with the checken? WTF? Did you NOT see that mouse in there when you picked that piece of chicken up??? :mad: )...

LMAO! I thought of the exact same thing (we have it on tape at home, and I was watching it the other day, matter of fact)...

I wonder if there is something about the DC-Maryland-NOVA Popeye's. Where I worked this summer in DC (14th and N) there was a Popeyes right beside it... That was the dirtiest fast food place I've ever been in... I only ate there once and that was enough.

aight, who in the hell fried this chicken and didn't notice the mouse? and i can't believe it took him biting into it to realize that there was something wrong with the chicken. if this mouse is in between the skin and the chicken meat, wouldn't you, the average person, think "hmm...this piece of chicken is unusually bulbous." i mean, didn't the piece of chicken look funny?? :confused:

That's what I'm thinking. I'm having a hard time imagining how that chicken could've looked. Because the picture that I have in my head leaves no room for the question, "Is there something wrong with this chicken?" :eek:

My mom told me that my aunt told her that a woman found a mouse in a can of Glory Greens. My mom made my brother Glory Greens for Easter. :eek: :( :eek:

I was just bragging on these greens. They are so Damn good.
I just can't go back to picking and cleaning.
In fairness my mom's friend found a dead mouse in greens she bought in the fruit market.

I'm surprised this has never came up. My mother got a settlement from Glory greens about 8 years ago. She was eating some, and bit into a cricket. She complained and they assured her that it must be an isolated occurence, so her being the gullible person that she is decided that maybe they were right. Maybe about 3 months later, she'd purchased some more, she was straining them in the sink (because she just didn't trust them) and found a shard of glass. Unbelievable, I know, but she contacted them and she actually got a settlement. Turns out, it's not as uncommon as you may think.

I will NEVER, EVER purchase Glory greens again...and if I'm not mistaken, they are a black-owned company also! :mad:

Just stick to PictSweet or Bird's Eye frozen spinach. :p

Dang! My lazy behind was just about to buy some Glory Greens. Those are on point especially with some cornbread and hot sauce. I guess it's back to picking and soaking and cleaning fresh greens.

Sylvia's canned greens are good when you feel like being lazy.

HK74, you scared me with this pic of Sylvia's. I had to remember we're talking Glory Greens here. ...don't go messin' with Ms. Sylvia. Whenever I'm in Atlanta, I LIVE at her soul-food restaurant!!

I've tried to hit her spot in N.Y, but it was too crowded.

Steeltrap, LI84, ordinarily yalls cards would, in fact be pulled on the "greens" thing. But you all are kinda cool like that, so I've arranged for this to be overlooked. Carry on with your regularly scheduled lives, cards in tact. :)

Girl Says She Found Marijuana In McDonald's Parfait


Valerie Valle, 16, said she found a partially smoked joint in her frozen yogurt parfait.

She and seven other family members stopped at a McDonald's in San Benito after a weeklong vacation on South Padre Island. Valle said she returned the questionable frozen confection and said no thanks to another.

There's one McDonald's I used to go to where the lettuce was almost always wilted and the fries were green. Another McDonald's the employees had terrible hygiene with food. One night I walked in there and I saw a pile of fries sitting in a tray. You know those trays are dirty even if they clean it. Why it was sitting in a tray and not where it was supposed to be....I have no clue. I'm not pleased with McDonald's anymore, they used to be the cleanest (in my area, at least).
