RR vs. RW: The Gauntlet
 

the new challenge starts today. there will be a preview at 8:30 CST and the 1-hr premier at 9. coral is on this season as well as veronica, the one everyone loves to hate, so i will definitely be watching

Alton and Irulan from The Real World Las Vegas are going to be on it too. I'll be watching. Someone touched Irulan during a discussion and she said that she didn't want anyone to touch her, period -- she said that if they did, they would get dropped. In addition, Abe from Road Rules *the one who put the smackdown on Donnell* will be on the show too. They really know how to cast for conflict -- once a fighter, always a fighter. Oh, and Laterrian is on the show, but I am not sure how I feel about that anymore because I noticed on the last Real World/Road Rules Challenge that he is quite the short little hottie.

I have three words: Drama, Drama, Drama.

This looks like its going to be a wicked season.
I saw the little preview MTV showed last Monday and Irulan was about to drop kick Veronica because she tried to grab something out of Irulan's hand. Irulan is mad gully!!

Does Irulan seem a bit smaller than she did in Las Vegas? She looks entirely too skinny to be dropping anyone.

It was Veronica that Irulan was referring to. I will be watching this EVERY week. There is going to be too much drama. I don't know why David from NO keeps going on when he knows he can't swim!! :o :rolleyes: I am so happy to also have my eye candy with Theo (RW-Chicago) and Darell(RR). Does he not look even better since he got rid of the braids? :D :cool:

I only watched it last week to see who the players were. I can't remember who Veronica is. Was she a RR or RW person?
I think that Darrell looks much better without the braids.

Veronica was on Road Rules Semester at Sea. She was the one who stole a shirt from one of her roommates, lied about it and got caught when her roommate went through her things and found the shirt. She has been voted off of the last two challenges by Emily from Road Rules II -- apparently, Veronica licked Emily's boyfriend James and Emily will not let her forget about it. Veronica is always involved in some mess -- oh, and she "hugged" Eric from Real World I a couple of good times.

Darrell is not someone who I find attractive. Darrell tried to turn out a bisexual girl (Rachel) on his Road Rules season and then got mad when she was licking all over her girlfriend when her girlfriend came to visit. She doesn't know what she wants . . . chump. He even let a gay guy smack him in the face -- he talked a lot of mess about it, but he didn't do a thing. LET SOMEONE HIT ME -- ON TELEVISION, NO LESS -- In the preview of the season, she is licking all over one of the other castmembers who is not a woman -- so maybe Darrell has a chance.

I would have to drop my pride right there and not hit him back....unless I wanted to be KICKED off the show.

I don't really find him attractive like that, but I do think that he looks much better without the braids. I don't like braids on men/boys at all. Also, yeah he may have gotten punked when Shawn slapped him, but Darrell was not trying to loose any money or whatever the prize would have been by getting kicked off the show.

I agree. Darell could has whooped Shane's azz, remember he is a professional boxer. He also said that he had recently won the Golden Glove award.

Both Irulan and Alton looks like they have lost a pound or two, and neither of the two could really afford to.

Veronica if this is the same one from Road Rules (because I kept going back and forth with this show and Third Watch) I would love to see someone drop her............I cannot stand that girl.

I was really surprised to see Tonya Kidney-Stones on the show, I know she will be complaining about something she can't do... :rolleyes:

I think this is going to be nice and dramatical, I just wish they came on another day besides Monday.......

I didn't say that he needed to hit him back. With the fact that he is a boxer, his hands are considered deadly weapons so worse things could happen besides getting kicked off the show. He said nothing though -- NOTHING. He just let it go . . . um, a punk slaps you and you say nothing . . . instead, you try to get close to a girl who has a girlfriend. Hmph.

Tonya from Real World Chicago was on the last challenge. She didn't complain at all last year. She twisted her ankle and made it through a few missions because of the mess that was going on with the girls' team. I think that she wants to let go of all of the stuff that she did while she was on her season -- and she made up with Theo (after saying that she was afraid of him because he yelled at her and confronted her about playing up her illness).

I was absolutely disgusted with Coral last night. Why is she so opposed to Matt just because he has morals and knows what he stands for? It's really nice to see a young man on television who is an upstanding Christian and proud of it.

This season is going to be a straight mess.

I remember Matt and I remember what he stands for. He is from the New Orleans season and he was looking for love on the internet. He may have been a virgin and may have been afraid of Julie, but he is not opposed to looking for love on the internet and I think he has a site so that he can attract "the ladies." He was a great big weirdo during that season of The Real World and I'm sure he is going to continue to be a big fluorescent weirdo during this season.

matt can be a little judgemental and holier than thou, but i thought tonya and coral were a little harsh on him. i feel bad for him.

Laterrian is fine. Although, I hope you saw the Real World/Road Rules Challenge last year. He was borderline manic and dripping with napoleonic undertones -- fine, but too much of an energizer bunny and wayyyyyyyyy too short.

Coral is always trying to start trouble. She needs to remember that the Miz carried her the last challenge and that is the only reason she received money. I can't wait for her butt to be voted into the Gauntlet.

I was really disappointed that Roni was in the top 3 to go to the Gauntlet. How come RR has such a bad time getting their stuff together.

I forgot how trashy Trashelle was, staring at Coral's boobs...did you see the hug Laterrian(Sp?) gave Coral? He was all into those boobies...

He looks like a 12 year old girl in that pic! Actually, he looks kinda like Gladys.

And this is coming from someone who looooved her some Theo on his season. The way he interacted with the kids at the center and genuinely cared about them was great.

Ooh, I love me some Theo. He just seems like a cool person to talk to and hang out with. I hope he doesnt get involved with any drama that will go down this season.

i loved theo's personality on rw chicago...but i didn't think he was cute. he reminded me of a frog..i think it was b/c of the contact lenses.

darell had me salivating...he is so fine...but, i'm not feeling his personality.

i don't like veronica...

one thing seems to be sure about the road rulers: their method of voting has to improve. i really feel like they are just voting off the people who aren't in their clique...NOT COOL

man, montana is real. i liked how she told them how she basically expected it to be her because she doesn't have ties to other people and told them that they were blowing smoke up her a$$. but there really isn't a way to vote someone to the gauntlet that isn't going to be taken personal unless it is strictly performance based

Yep, Montana's real alright -- she is so real that she gives alcohol to children and admitted on television that she doesn't like black people. In addition, she was in some open relationship with her boyfriend on the show when she was in Boston and because of that, he called her a whore about a million times. She gets the thumbs down and I don't want to listen what she has to say at all.

I agree. Katie was about to get up in Veronica's butt. Did you see her when she went off? I've been waiting for someone to go off on her ever since Ayanna did. SHe needs to be knocked off her high horse.

Do you think that RW has a chance if they keep losing people to the Gauntlet?

COnsidering th at yesterday was my first time seeing the show, I have no idea, but it was good as all get out and I will be watching it from now on. Trishelle had me rolling! Boy, she looked funny as all get out with that busted eye!

I had just posted in chit chat because I overlooked this thread how much Trichelle reminded me of Linda Blair in the exorcist.

nope...i was thinking the same thing....i don't see 'em lasting long, though i'm rooting for them!

last night i caught last week's episode. i almost threw up watching that ice cream eating contest---very, very gross!! the road rules team is letting darrell and rachel run that team and matt is going to be sent to the gauntlet for getting on everyone's nerves. he is definitely not making friends.

They are going to end up sending Super Coral to the gauntlet before they send Matt. Even her teammates from last year are trying to make sure she goes to the gauntlet. This is an interesting germ-filled season. I would think that they would be trying to get rid of the unpopular people (like Matt), but of course, I thought that he would be gone by now.

I was glad that she won. Here's my question for all of the RW and RR "alums" - Did you see any of the other challenges? Guess what, there is always water around. Before you sign up [DAVID] don't you think it would be a good idea to try to learn to swim? At least make sure you won't be a huge liability to your team

As far as RR goes, I would vote off Abe, b/c getting disqualified all the time is just as detrimental as having someone who doesn't try hard.

Abe should not have been allowed to come to the challenge since he voted out of the house for being violent with another castmember. He would have been the first on my hitlist because violence is a no-no.

I'm glad they sent Coral to the gauntlet, she needed a quick reality check (just because you intimidate people doesn't mean they won't vote you off).

As for the actual season, I noticed that they after next weeks episode with Irulan going off on Veronica, all of the little highlights they showed in the first episode will have been shown. I wonder how interesting the season will be after that.

And I'm mad they voted Tina to the gauntlet, I actually like her little country/ghetto arse.
