City of Angels controversy
 

Are there any followers of the television show "City of Angels"? Is it on summer hiatus? I had heard at one point that it was cancelled, then I heard that it was back on but Vivica A. Fox got fired. Has anyone heard anything?

I heard that she chose not to return.

I heard that the show was cancelled, but is scheduled to return in the fall. I don't know if Vivica A. Fox will return or not. I hope so because she is a very talented actress and she and Blair Underwood have a good chemistry together.

i just saw a promo yesterday that it will be showing on a new day Thursday, but i can't remember the time.

I heard that it is on a new day also. Vivica A. Fox admits that she got the boot.

I just saw a promo for the show today. It said that the show will return on Thursday, July 6th. It did not show Vivica at all.

I wonder if they are going to show reruns because the promo showed clips from the first episode. AKA2D, now that you mention it, I didn't see Vivica either.

I heard that Vivica Fox will not be back on the show and she will have a replacement. Does anyone know who that individual is?

No, I haven't heard anything of a replacement. I am sure that they will indeed need one with her being such a pivotal character. Besides cutie pie Blair needs a love interest!

I heard that Vivica got the boot too. Some bull about her not pulling the ratings up. Why should she be the one to pull the ratings up. After I heard on the Doug Banks Morning show that they were going to cancel I went to cbs.com and put my $.08 in! The ratings were low because they had it on at 8pm on a weird night. I told them they should put it on when working folks can get home, get settled and watch. Plus it's not a family hour kind of show either. Anyway....I am glad to hear it's coming back on. What day and time?

Has anyone noticed how similar ABC's "Gideon's Crossing" seems to be to "City of Angels"? I was reading an article in the newspaper this morning that "Gideon's Crossing" is doing better in the ratings because it was not labled a "black drama" like "City of Angels" and therefore is appealing to a broader mainstream audience. However, the cast of both shows are culturally diverse.

I just read on the net that " City of Angels:" has been cancelled. What a shame. I liked the show and I feel that CBS could have done more to promote it and given it a better spot. Everyone knows their time slot was a tough one. They will be missed. Maybe it can be picked up for syndication.
