What are you giving thanks for this Thanksgiving?
Hi everyone! What do you have to be thankful for this year?
I'm grateful for all the wonderful sisterfriends I've met via the net. Most of all I'm thankful because our Lord found me worthy enough to see another day. This has been an eventful but wonderful year for me. Each trial and triumph leading to a new lesson. All in all I wouldn't change a thing! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif |
I'm thanking God for His many blessings...life, health, strength, family. I'm most thankful for the relationship that I have with the Lord...for through that relationship, I'm sustained to enjoy all aspects of daily living--both trials and triumphs.
When I think about God's goodness and all that he's done for me...my soul cries out HALLEHUH!!!! Have a happy and thankful Thanksgiving, everyone!!!! ------------------ I will bless the Lord at ALL times His praise shall continually be in my mouth. (Psalms 34:1, KJV) [This message has been edited by nikki25 (edited November 22, 2000).] |

I AM THANKFUL FOR BEING THANKFUL! |
I have so much to be thanful for. I am just thankful that I AM. The Lord has brought me through so much, I have no choice but to thank Him everyday, for everything. I'm thankful for my family, friends, and of course my Sorors. I'm thankful I have bills to pay, because that means I have a home, a car, and heat! But I think most importantly, I'm just thankful that He's God.
Have a Blessed holiday Sorors and Sisterfriends!! |
to the top for 2001

I'm thankful that my Mom is still able to give me advice on life. This year has been a tough year for her she has MS. and it cause her this year to use her ability to walk, to care for herself and sight. And I just thank God for giving my sister and I the strength to continue with school and our own lives.
I'm thankful for my friends and family and for just being alive.:) |

My adorable niece, Kasia Blue (she'll be 16 months when Thanksgiving rolls around) 5. Knowing about my half-sister, Nadia (the mother of my niece) 6. Having good friends that I can go to for anything 7. That I don't have drama in my life this year (my ex to be specific  ) AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST... 8. BEING ABLE TO TALK TO MY BEST FRIEND, 9476, OVER THE PHONE (it's a long time coming) |

I have more...
I am thankful for everything I said in my last post, but I have more.
I am thankful that my sister is so strong. I don't know if she knows it, but I'm going to let her know it! I am thankful for my Snowflakes. I am happy that after 9 years, we are still just as tight. I'll have to tell y'all about them one day. I am thankful for my boyfriend. Four years, off and on, good times and bad, I love him, and I thank God for his mere presence in my life. I have learned and grown with this man and his many antics, lol, but I'm thankful that I went through it, and I'm thankful WE made it through. I am thankful for my lifelong friendship with CT4. We had our ups and downs, but we were kids. It's good to have a friend who KNOWS you, and STILL likes you, lol. :) I am thankful for all of the friends that I have made online, SORORS and sf's alike. I think that's all for now. I am just thankful for everything, good and bad, that comes to me. |
I am EXTREMELY thankful that I live in a country, even with all its problems, in which I can pray and worship my God, and His risen son Jesus Christ without fear of harm, distress or persecution.

Some of the things I'm thankful for this year are: My loving (sometimes all up in my business) family members! My friends who constantly put up with me and all my drama! :) My job (which I truly believe is a blessing from God)! My GC peeps (especially Exquizit) that keep me LMAO!:D Happy Thanksgiving!;) |
I'm thankful for my son (who is a constant joy), my friends who are the greatest and my mother who is a miracle worker. I'm also thankful for the man that God has delivered to me (in the package that I've always wanted :D ). He's my boyfriend, my best friend, my biggest critic and my biggest supporter. I'm thankful that God has allowed me to see and experience what UNCONDITIONAL love really is.

My goodness, how things change in two years, lol.
I am thankful that The Almighty gave me the strength to step out on faith and live my dream of living in DC. I am thankful for the experience because it showed me A LOT about myself and what I'm capable of. I am thankful for my soulmate. I am thankful that we met 11 years ago and cultivated a strong friendship. I am thankful that we are still friends after all of this time (and distance). And I am thankful that we were both able to put our fears aside and take our relationship to that next level. I am thankful that I have a job, even though I am ready to leave it. |
- God's all around grace
- My family (nuclear and extended) - even the ones that make me  sometimes - My health - Opportunities with which I've been blessed. - The fact that no matter how hard life seems, I'm still in a good position compared to a lot of people around the world. |
My new friends, church family, health of my family, God's blessing of a whole year of life for my nephew (born last year at 1lb 4oz), my son, my man, and my life.

I'm thankful that my grandfather just celebrated his 70th birthday on the 5th...he had a heartattack right after thanksgiving 2001, and had a stroke right before thanksgiving 2002. He's in good health now. I'm thankful for my life, health and strength. I'm thankful for my job, there are soooo many people out there who don't have one. I'm thankful for the good friendship I have with P-diddy, even if we don't end up married, he's my bestestest friend. I'm thankful for all of my friends and family, even the ones that get on my last nerve (love ya Ma). I'm thankful that I have more than enough to eat...although I complain all the time about wanting to lose weight...I'm glad I'm not starving. I'm thankful that I know where my soldier friends are and that they are alive and well. |
I'm thankful for:
My job--the job that Hubby and I work is only part time (this is so we can be at home with our son and be involved in his school) but through GOD'S GRACE, we have a roof over our heads, food on our table, clothes that fit on our backs, a car that runs, and our son has everything he needs and some of what he wants. My college degree--it cost over $40K in student loans, but when a lot of people told me that I wouldn't make it through when I got pregnant, I can look at that red diploma case and say I MADE IT!! My Son--even though he has a learning difference (I don't use the word disability) and is ADHD, he is a well-behaved child and is very respectful and kind and has lots of friends. Hubby and I work at an agency for bad kids and we see how these parents struggle. My Hubby--after my very bad 1st marriage and subsequent divorce, I prayed to God to send me someone if it is not meant for me to be by myself. And he did. He is my best friend and a great father to our son and shows a lot of patience when working with him. Also, I'm thankful for my church, my co-workers, and my sands and sorors!! Now I'm not happy about working on Turkey Day, but I'm thankful for that little thing called TIME AND A HALF!!! I figured that Hubby can bring me a plate to the agency. ;) |

I am thankful...
- to be alive - I was in a really bad car accident and I know that it could have been much worse if the Lord was not there with me - for my health - almost all of my wounds from the accident have healed and the dr.s said it'd take at least a year - for my husband - he has been so patient with me, through illness, jobs, stress, and everything else. I'm so glad that we have the beautiful relationship that we do - for my brother - I am so proud of him and I love the way that he still looks up to me and I can be a good big sister to him - to have some financial freedom - this is the first year in a while that I haven't had a lot of bills and it feels really good :D |

2004 has been a trip. It ain't over yet but i am thankful on THIS DAY that i'm still here - in my right mind, in a safe environment, with people that love me.
In addition to the things i am always grateful for (friends, family, health, and God's grace)... this particular year i give thanks: 1. that my friends in the military are safe and sound - no matter where they are (across the U.S., in Iraq, Germany, and South Korea), i hear from them on a regular basis and the report is always good. 2. for finally getting out of my master's program (12-19-04... you're all invited!) 3. for my new J-O-B! just accepted the offer yesterday.
