Did anyone watch the Bachelor!?
 

I admit it, I am hooked to this series. You'd think I'd get tired of it after 3 seasons. OH well.
After the first show, my favorite is 24 yr old teacher. I forgot her name. (I am BAD with names!) She's the pretty brunette and I think she was the 2nd one picked.
What are ya'lls thoughts!

Well, I don't like Kelly Jo or whatever her name was. Too aggressive! I had hoped he'd pick the firefighter from Shreveport and the blonde in the black strapless dress. Looks like it's going to get pretty dramatic from the previews!

I liked Estella (the dark brown hair, tripped after meeting bob) the best. I was NOT impressed with Leanne (the one who was practically begging his mom to put in a good word). I Looooove the bachelor and i am so excited for this season!

I too wasn't overly fond of Kelly Jo there.
I didn't like Kristi either. She's very... orange.
I think Mary's "I speak Spanish" bit is going to get old really fast...

And Shae was gorgeous and seemed to have a great personality... I had hoped that he would have picked her.


It says on the ABC website that Bob was in a fraternity... anyone know which one? Or any representation for any of the girls?
(because we all knew this question would come up eventually anyway! :) )

I saw it! Man... i don't think I have ever seen a full season of the Bachelor. Is it always that dramatic and crazy? Cuz from the previews it just looks like things are gonna go wrong. Like what was the trip to the hospital??? I almost get the impression someone is gonna pass away or become terminally ill. Anyone hear anything?

I didn't like Leanne either! She seemed to be trying too hard, although she said how unagressive she was about a hundred times. Estella is beautiful, however, that's my mother-in-laws name and I find it hard to dissociate the two! LOL!

I can't wait to see what happens. That long montage of previews made it very enticing! I'm anxious to see what happens. If someone died, though, it probably would have been on the news. Sure to be lots of drama this season anyway! Don't have a favorite yet, but definitely have some NOT favorites...um...paging Kellie Jo! YUCK!

I was watching this with the same interest you watch a car wreck: It's horrible and you want to look away, but you can't....

I think Ms. "I'm Not Aggressive" is going all the way, or at least pretty far. They showed too much of her in the previews...

I totally agree with you sigmagrrl, how could she be broken hearted already? I find that hard to believe. I really don't like Kelly Jo and I really really didn't like the twins. I wish he had picked Julie, she was the other african american girl, I liked her, but I knew she wasn't getting picked just cause they didn't show her talking to him a lot. On a side note, she was from my home town, woo-hoo Louisville. I can't wait til next week's episode.

Ugh! I hated when the TV at the house was dominated by "The Bachelor/Bachelorette/Joe Millionaire fanatics but I watched the Bachelor last night and I got HOOKED!

I really dislike Kelly Jo...she was so scanky kissing him on the first night!

I really liked Shay and was kind of sad when she didn't get picked but I am pulling for Leanne!

It looks like there is going to be drama next week...they showed those clips of the ambulance coming and everyone crying!

Since I live in MI, all the news stations do Bachelor Bob updates. On the 5pm News, they were interviewing people and asking about the show. The one thing everyone said was that the women were so dumb for crying on the first show.

Sidenote: Bob was on Sharon Osbourne's talk show today and Sharon kept referring to Trista as "Trisket"...it was highly amusing! ;)

My pick by far is Kristi....even though she at times looks like a "hooker" with all her make-up, there is just something about her that I love. She is a very pretty gurl..I hope she gets Bob!!

I liked Estella and the 1st girl who came out of the limo (she's blonde and wore a pink dress, she seemed really funny and dow to earth). I knew Bob wasn't going to pick the twins... they weren't very attractive either. I only caught some of them walking out of the limos and the rose ceremony so I have to watch the tape (I was too busy watching the Big Brother finale!).

I think they definitely met their quota of loonies this season:

The Twins: "Hi, I'm Whiny, and this is my sister, Pouty." They just seemed so snotty to me. Seriously, would any of you ever consider going on that show with a good friend, much less a sister???

LeAnn: "Hi, I'm not aggressive, but I'm going to attack Bob's Mom!" Honey, we see right through you.

The crazy blond (forget her name) that was crying at the end: Grow up! Wasn't she the one trying on wedding dresses at the beginning? What was with that? Stop playing Barbie Dream Wedding in your head and go get some therapy.

Kelly Jo: You are pushy, pushy, pushy. My bet's on her for the first one to get her eyes clawed out by the other girls.

the Bachelor is soooo my reality tv addiction, I just can't stop watching it!

I LOVE Bob, but not so crazy about some of these nutjobs that are on the show.

I am however rooting for Estella (anyone who trips and almost falls on her face and STILL gets the guy is ok in my book), Caryn (she's very classy and didnt come off as trashy or desparate), and Brooke (maybe cause I'm still pissed that Helene beat out the other Brooke 2 seasons ago).

Kelly Jo is a lil too hootchie for me, and the show has a bad history with Kristys... (remember the nutjob Miss Iowa from the second season???)

This season seems to be pumped fulla drama, did you catch the whole ambulance/hospital montage??? The first thing I thought was that one our Bachelorette's gets all crazy and od's or something. What do you think???

So what's with all the bachelorettes being from Cali. and IL. and most being teachers, sales, or in hair/make-up?

I'm bummed! I didn't get to watch it until the very end! I was really disgusted that Kelly Jo and Lee Ann are still around. When all of the 'drama' ensues, it seems that Lee Ann has a MAJOR part of it, "I'm not talking to you Jenny, if I were, I would look at you." I hear some cat claws being sharpened!

Why is it all these girls are around my age and have my dream jobs? Yet, they all seem as dumb as rocks and I still can't find a job!?!?! Life is not fair! grrrr. haha

Oooh, I do NOT like Misty, Lee Anne or Kelly Jo!! I was hoping that Lindsay and Jen would get picked. I do like Meredith a lot. That elimination date was interesting.

I LOVE Estella and Meredith!! They both seem very down to earth and very sweet - perfect for Bob!! Plus it seems like he had a lot of chemistry with both of them as well :)

Misty and Leeann - UGH!!! I cannot stand them. Especially Leeann - she's a 2nd grade teacher and she is viscous - I wouldn't want my kids having her as a role model!!

Next week looks great! I can't believe the girl they vote least compatible gets a date with Bob!! That sucks - it's going to be Misty or Leann

I just have to say that the name "Misty" cracks me up, because in German, "mist" is slang for MANURE!

I liked LeeAnn in the first episode, and I think she is really cute- but I do not think she is my favorite anymore.

I like Estella a lot and I hope that she gets far in the game, if not win it all. I kind of like Meredith- but there is something about her face that I don't like- I know that sounds mean- but there is something about her I find odd.

Hey ya'll! I missed the first part of the show - what was the drama with the ambulance about anyway? Did they show that?

They talked about how Antoinette was taken to the hospital because she was having some medical problems and was getting a number of tests run on her. The promos made it out to be a huge drama, but I don't know if they ever commented on what happened with the tests, but since she made it back to go on the third date, I'm assuming everything's okay. (I couldn't believe some of the girls saying "It's not fair that she gets to go on this date because she missed her date"....get a grip, ladies! :rolleyes:

While I think the girls were being childish, they did have somewhat of a point. The show obviously knew before the dates that Antoinette wouldn't be there to go on the first date, so why didn't they move someone from the second or third date into her original slot so that it would have been even?

because making sense doesn't always make for good tv! the cattier they get, the more interesting it is.

Sigma Alpha loves Bob! We watch the Bachelor like it's our job. I'm not koking when I say the girls in the house pile into the chapter room, clap for Kelly Jo (She a local MI girl) and boo girls like Antionette that we don;t like for some petty reason. LOL, are you getting the picture? We also have the strict no talking till a commercial rule!

We feel that we need to support a hot single MSU alumni!

We really liked Kristi the bleach blonde, and of course Leah Ann, but Kelly Jo is our favorite (and she kissed him first!)

Just got my copy of US WEEKLY with Bachelor Bob on the cover from the grocery store. It has a quote in there from his Alpha Tau Omega brother. Mystery answered...Although, someone else answered the question earlier. Awesome article about Bachelor Bob though!

He is a cutie! But would never personally go on television to find a hubby....

I completely agree....I said the same to my mom (it just makes sense), but as ForeverDiamond said, it doesn't make for good TV. They've got to encourage the drama on this show! :)

I think the girls coming in were already drama-prone. Not too much encouragement needed!

Definitely....because they knew the Bachelor from his run on the Bachelorette....the drama existed from their viewing of Bob with Trista (are they going to say it wasn't fair that she got to spend so much time with him? :p)

I think it's trashy how Bob is making out with EVERYONE!!!
Poor Meredith! :( I'm glad she got the individual date to cheer her up.
Leeann is now on my last nerve. And, that Jenny is annoying too!
