Weird Names of Music Performer's Children

LOL!

Thought some of these were funny and/or interesting!

http://www.amiright.com/names/siblings/index.shtml

i.e.
*Dream And Story Lumpkin - Ginuwine And Sole (Is this true?)
*Scout LaRue - Bruce Willis (Named after the girl in "To Kill a Mockingbird")
*Shith'ead - Art Alexakis (Everclear)
*Elijah Patricius Bob Guggi Q. - Bono (Gee Bono, pick a name, any name.. Wait until this kid tries to fill out government forms for things like his driver's license From site, not my comment) :D

If you were a music performer, what would you call yourself?
What would you name your children?

:D

I heard Ms. Badu state once that she named her son Seven because she couldn't name him GOD. She said that since G was the 7th letter of the alphabet, this would be close enuf.

Willow is named after her father Willard, and both are bad names....he he he.

I also remember reading she named him 7 because it is the number of completion and hence cannot be divided.

I read this in Newsweek not too long ago. It also mentioned something about the number 7 having divine properties. But maybe they just like that Seinfeld episode...

33girl 09-25-2003 11:01 AM

This reminds me of the kid in the Peanuts strips named Five.

Word. Willow is a name that the little girl can SPELL and PRONOUNCE and it won't lead to her resume, if she chooses to work in the civilian world, getting thrown in the trash.

i'm glad Erykah Badu had a son, despite the odd name. she was quoted as saying if she had a girl, the child woud've been named, FLY. i'm assuming not for the insect...

lest we forget Eagle Eye Cherry or Moon Unit Zappa and her brother, Dweezil. but if folks forgot, i understand. they aren't E Entertainment or Entertainment Tonight fixtures:p

I don't think that Willow is a "white people" name. Their kids' names are really cute: Willow/Will & Jaden/Jada.

I read earlier that she named Denim after the charcter from To Sir With Love. However, his name was Denham.

Tisha Campball-Martin's son is named Xen (pronounced Zen)

Forest Whitaker's child is named Ocean

toocute 09-26-2003 09:52 AM

Chilli from TLC has a son named Tron.

Slight hijack -- Is this the child FW had with his wife Keisha or with Raye Dowell? I bring Ms. Dowell up last night because Showtime Women, on digital cable, showed She's Gotta Have It last night, a film where Ms. Dowell had a featured role.

Badu named her baby girl Puma...as in the shoe and ANIMAL

ykimber 09-10-2004 11:15 AM

Even though she is not a music artist she is a hollywood celebrity, I just saw the cover of People magazine and Gwyneth Paltrow named her little girl Apple! Why would you do that to a baby!

Let's not forget the recent addition to Erika's family. Puma. Whether its a boy or a girl, I am not sure. Her reasoning for calling the child Puma? Because she is the spokesperson for Puma.

Lord, help her!

OMG, I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembered that Peanuts character.

For the uninformed, Five was a character in the Peanuts in the 1960s who had a buzz cut and always wore a t-shirt with the number 5 on it. He has two sisters named Three and Four. His last name is some zip code in California.

Thank you for reminding me, 33girl.

What about Seven Bundy, the short-lived youngest sibling on Married with Children?

He disappeared w/o explanation and joined Chuck Cunningham, Judy Winslow, and Brenda's friend on 227 to the Island of Lost TV Characters.

Now back to our regularly scheduled thread.

Pi_Lambda_01 09-11-2004 08:07 PM

please inform me

I know this is waaaaaaaaaaay off the subject but someone please explain to me when this Seven character on Married with children was on the show and how he got there. What was his purpose or something...fill me in cause I sho don't remember!!

ykimber 09-12-2004 12:44 AM

According to Bundyology.com

SEVEN
http://www.bundyology.com/sevenbig.jpg

Seven appeared in season seven (hence his name), in what appeared to be an attempt to appeal to a more mainstream audience. He has nothing to do with Peggy's pregnancy in early season six. This first recurring character apart from the usual six principals (four Bundys and their two neighbors) was played by Shane Sweet. Peggy's relatives Zemus and Ida Mae come to visit the Bundys in 0701 and just leave Seven there. Zemus' expanation for Seven's name is that they have one, two, three, four, five, seven children.

Badu is a member of NGE, and the number "Seven" represents "GOD" in the Supreme Mathematics, which is why she gave him that name.

The 5% Nation is the same as NGE which means The Nation of the Gods and Earths. I don't think they call themselves the 5% Nation no more, so they started using that NGE as a name now from what someone I know told me.

Ok. thanks for the info. Since I've been stuck in the sticks for so long, I don't get to keep up on stuff as much anymore.

Former 'Punky Brewster' Star Has Baby Girl 57 minutes ago

LOS ANGELES - Soleil Moon Frye, best known for her starring role on the '80s TV series "Punky Brewster," and her husband have welcomed their first child, Poet Sienna Rose Goldberg.

Their daughter was born Wednesday in Los Angeles. The baby weighed 7 pounds, 13 ounces, and is 19 inches long, People magazine reported.

Frye, 29, and her 34-year-old husband, Jason Goldberg, who produces MTV's prank show, "Punk'd," were married in October 1998.
