President Bush's resume!

Let's take a look at what our president has done so far (taken from another site)....

GEORGE W. BUSHS' ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS PRESIDENT:

I attacked and took over two countries.

I spent the U.S. surplus and bankrupted the US Treasury.

I shattered the record for the biggest annual deficit in history(not easy!).

I set an economic record for the most personal bankruptcies filed in any 12 month period.

I set all-time record for the biggest drop in the history of the stock market.

I am the first president in decades to execute a federal prisoner.

I am the first president in US history to enter office with a criminal record.

In my first year in office I set the all-time record for most days on vacation by any president in US history (tough to beat my dad's, but I did).

After taking the entire month of August off for vacation, I presided over the worst security failure in US history.

I set the record for most campaign fund raising trips by any president in US history.

In my first two years in office over 2 million Americans lost their job.

I cut unemployment benefits for more out-of-work Americans than any other president in US history.

I set the all-time record for most real estate foreclosures in a 12-month period.

I appointed more convicted criminals to administration positions than any president in US history.

I set the record for the fewest press conferences of any president, since the advent of TV.

I signed more laws and executive orders amending the Constitution than any other US president in history.

I presided over the biggest energy crises in US history and refused to intervene when corruption was revealed.

I cut health care benefits for war veterans.

I set the all-time record for most people worldwide to simultaneously take to the streets to protest me (15 million people), shattering the record for protest against any person in the history of mankind.

I dissolved more international treaties than any president in US >history.

I've made my presidency the most secretive and unaccountable of any in US history.

Members of my cabinet are the richest of any administration in US history. (The poorest multimillionaire, Condoleeza Rice, has a Chevron oil tanker named after her).

I am the first president in US history to have all 50 states of the Union simultaneously struggle against bankruptcy.

I presided over the biggest corporate stock market fraud in any market in any country in the history of the world.

I am the first president in US history to order a US attack and military occupation of a sovereign nation, and I did so against the will of the United Nations and the vast majority of the international community.

I have created the largest government department bureaucracy in the history of the United States, called the "Bureau of Homeland Security"(only one letter away from BS).

I set the all-time record for biggest annual budget spending increases, more than any other president in US history (Ronnie was tough to beat, but I did it!!).

I am the first president in US history to compel the United Nations to remove the US from the Human Rights Commission.

I am the first president in US history to have the United Nations remove the US from the Elections Monitoring Board.

I removed more checks and balances, and have the least amount of congressional oversight than any presidential administration in US history.

I rendered the entire United Nations irrelevant.

I withdrew from the World Court of Law.

I refused to allow inspectors access to US prisoners of war and by default no longer abide by the Geneva Conventions.

I am the first president in US history to refuse United Nations election inspectors access during the 2002 US elections.

I am the all-time US (and world) record holder for most corporate campaign donations.

The biggest lifetime contributor to my campaign, who is also one of my best friends, presided over one of the largest corporate bankruptcy frauds in world history (Kenneth Lay, former CEO of Enron Corporation).

I spent more money on polls and focus groups than any president in US history.

I am the first president to run and hide when the US came under attack (and then lied, saying the enemy had the code to Air Force 1)

I am the first US president to establish a secret shadow government.

I took the world's sympathy for the US after 9/11,and in less than a year made the US the most resented country in the world (possibly the biggest diplomatic failure in US and world history). I am the first US president in history to have a majority of the people of Europe (71%) view my presidency as the biggest threat to world peace and stability.

I changed US policy to allow convicted criminals to be awarded government contracts.

I set the all-time record for the number of administration appointees who violated US law by not selling their huge investments in corporations bidding for gov't contracts.

I have removed more freedoms and civil liberties for Americans than any other president in US history.

In a little over two years, I have created the most divided country in decades, possibly the most divided that the US has been since the Civil War.

I entered office with the strongest economy in US history and in less than two years turned every single economic category heading straight down.

RECORDS AND REFERENCES:

I have at least one conviction for drunk driving in Maine (Texas driving record has been erased and is not available).

I was AWOL from the National Guard and deserted the military during time of war.

I refuse to take a drug test or even answer any questions about drug use.

All records of my tenure as governor of Texas have been spirited away to my fathers library, sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public view.

All records of any SEC investigations into my insider trading or bankrupt companies are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public view.

All minutes of meetings of any public corporation for which I served on the board are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public view.

Any records or minutes from meetings I (or my VP)attended regarding public energy policy are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public review.

PERSONAL REFERENCES:
For personal references, please speak to my dad or Uncle James Baker.(They can be reached in their offices at the Carlyle Group where they are helping to divide up the spoils of the US-Iraq war and plan for the next one).

Hmm its probably all correct.

starang21 09-13-2003 02:39 PM

i saw this somewhere else. that's real right there.

Optimist Prime 09-13-2003 03:11 PM

No wonder our country turned into such a shithole.

cash78mere 09-13-2003 03:47 PM

wow. bush really sucks

Peaches-n-Cream 09-13-2003 04:26 PM

And Al Gore still couldn't beat him in 2000.

Quite frankly, I have no problem with the federal execution of Tim McVeigh.

IheartMATT806 09-13-2003 04:29 PM

Bush Blows.....

Enuff said?!

DeltaSigStan 09-13-2003 04:40 PM

On the good side, all this MIGHT be a forshadowing of another "Miracle On Ice" event, since the country sucked back then too.

Hmmmm.....I'm thinking World Cup 2006.....IN Germany.

The truth about "the resume"

it's a pdf file. found the link at boortz.com

boortz notes:
THE BUSH RESUME

Perhaps you've heard of this item. Maybe you've seen it on the Internet. It's George W. Bush's resume. Well, not really. It's actually a "resume" prepared by someone whom we would describe as not exactly friendly toward Bush or toward conservatism. The "resume" contains such entries as:

Ran for congress and lost.

Produced a Hollywood slasher B movie.

Bought an oil company, but couldn't find any oil in Texas, company went bankrupt shortly after I sold all my stock.

Bought the Texas Rangers baseball team in a sweetheart deal that took land using tax-payer money. Biggest move: Traded Sammy Sosa to the Chicago White Sox.

With fathers help (and his name) was elected Governor of Texas.

You can download the "George W. Bush Resume" in PDF format for printing by clicking here. You can also read the "resume" at at the leftist BuzzFlash.com website.

So ... why bring this up? Well, because I'm a fair kinda guy, that's why. Also because someone out there named Curt King has taken the trouble to research every point brought up in the "GW Resume" resulting in a 28-page refutation. Point by point King exposes the BS in the GW resume. You can download and read (or print) Curt King's "The Truth About "The Resume" by clicking here

Sooner or later as we get deeper into the election puddin' someone is going to throw some of the items contained in the GW Resume in your face. Imagine the fun you will have kicking facts and reason back into their snide "holier-than-thou" leftist face.

wreckingcrew 09-13-2003 08:13 PM

I'm not gonna sit here and post everything from that link, but all you left-wing anti-bush people should check out even just the first page before you get all high and mighty about W.

Pretty much everything in that list is either incorrect or a vast generalization.

Kitso
KS 361 times i'll vote for Bush again, (and i could, if i lived in florida)

Florida isn't the issue. The real story in the 2000 Presidential election was that Vice President Al Gore couldn't even get his home state of Tennessee to vote for him.

then how come the entire controversy about florida? how come it all came down to that?

They couldn't get a final count immediately because the voting was very close in Florida. Plus there was a problem with the ballots. If Gore had carried his home state, the Florida vote would have been irrelevant. He would have had a majority of the electoral college votes and would have won the Presidency.

KillarneyRose 09-14-2003 02:14 PM

Just curious, Cashmoney, but why did you start this thread under your nom de guerre? I thought that was only for the thread regarding the mods?

Regarding President Bush's vacation days...I have to laugh when I hear about people making a big deal about his "vacations". Do people think that no one can get in touch with him or something?

"Damn, we're being invaded and President Bush's cell phone is going straight to voice mail!!!"

while that's all fine and dandy, the bottom line is that the election still came down to florida. no changing that, and the fact that the governor of florida is jeb bush....hmmm. i guess jeb decided to come thru for him.

Ridiculous

Some of you people are just so damn stupid. Honestly, become pool boys and the ladies who clean my office building late at night if that's what some of you think.

To be fair, I'm incredibly angry at Bush but not for these idiot reasons. How about for the fact that the Saudis go unchecked and the Iranians are building nuclear weapons rapidly. How about for the fact that his press conferences are just so he can say he's asking for money for [you name whatever cause] and then that's where it ends? Where's the aid to Africa? What happened to research into alternative fuel sources? How is No Child Left Behind getting funded??

Still waiting for that, though most Africans would prefer that farm subsidies be reduced so they can compete.

Sorry, we can't help you on that. Our subsidies don't compare to Europe's. We did offer you food aid but you rejected it on European nudging because American farm products are genetically modified.

moe.ron 09-14-2003 03:32 PM

Yeah, the European subsidies are really bad. I have my doubt that WTO will go anywhere because it's election time in many countries. Especially with Spain, French and other farming countries which not only receive subsidies, but then dump the aritificla price on the 3rd world which resulted in many farmes not being able to compete. Plus, most of the subsidies goes to multi-million dollars corporations, and not the small family farmers.

As for the GMO debate, I haven't read enough to make up my mind.

If you think the GMO thing is about science or health, that's pretty funny. It's European protectionism. I think you guys should invade France. The US supports you and we'd probably join in.

The Supreme Court decided the issue (7-2 & 5-4) not Jeb Bush.

Actually, the bottom line is that Vice President Al Gore couldn't persuade the citizens of his home state to vote for him. Had the citizens of Tennessee voted for him, Florida would have been irrelevant. And no Gov. Jeb Bush didn't 'come thru for him' as you posted. would have, should have, could have...the tennessee vote wasn't on the news, florida was. you act like everything the government does is legit. guess having friends in high places does that for you. it's evident from the great job he's doing today.

I really don't know why you would write this to/about me. Agree with my point or not, but have the common courtesy not to presume to know how I act based on a post on Greekchat. You don't know my friends or how I feel about the government and President Bush.

The Tennessee vote is the real story whether or not it was covered by the news media that you follow. The fact remains that a candidate can not win the Presidency of the United States without winning his home state.

Both of yall know that's a bogus statement. If Gore had won his home state he would have won. If he had won Florida he would have won. Hell, if he had won Texas he would have won. But the fact is that he didn't. Shady goings-on in Florida and a Supreme Court final decision aside, it doesn't matter much now, does it?

like i said, uncovered or covered....the controversy was in florida. period. you can talk about the real story being tennesee. anyhow, don't get so sensitive about what i say. it wasn't a personal attack.

In the whole scheme of things, no. I was just wondering if it you posting under another name when the subject is possibly controversal was going to become a trend.

Optimist: literally translated it means "name of war" but it's actually just a way for someone who wants to use her musty, dusty old English degree to say pseudonym :)

The Supreme Court made the right decesion... end of story.
