MTV's Newleyweds

I admit in...I've been watching this show. It's mindless reality TV at its finest. Anyone else watching it?

Really though, I was LMAO of ditsy a$$ Jessica blowin' up Nick's cell phone while he was at the Playboy Mansion.

I was also LMAO off at their very nice, but terribly filthy house. The place is tight and Nick was not even tryin' to pay a maid to come and clean that place up.

SkeeWee14 09-10-2003 07:09 PM

Okay, I must admit that I watch this show too. Jessica is a trip with her spoiled self. Sometimes I sit there shaking my head wondering if she is for real. Too funny.

i've only seen it once, but i've heard about her "ditsiness". A couple of things to point out: $700 on PANTIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and not knowing what "chicken of the sea" means. where has she been?

Pepsichick 09-10-2003 07:52 PM

OMG! I was wondering if anyone was going to post about this show.

I can not believe Jessica is so dumb. Her mother is partly to
blame. She let her grow up spoiled. This girl needs a reallity check.

I watch it because Nick is so cute. Jessica is the sterotypical, dumb blonde. I wonder if the show is edited to make her look worse than she really is.

I also watch because it makes me feel good to see money can't buy everything!

lostnfound117 09-10-2003 10:46 PM

there is a thread over on delta avenue about the same subject and some posts are really funny! check em out!

Exquisite5 09-12-2003 11:25 AM

I watch this show and Jessica annoys the HE double hockey sticks out of me. Let me just say she is NOT an accurate representation of TX girls. Normal TX girls are TOUGH...G.R.I.T---girl raised in TX--and we really do have grit.

I don't know what this dingbat's problem is.

Nick is too down for her. I give them five years.

This girl is so dumb! I love this show! Why did she think that buffalo wings were made from actual buffaloes!!! LMAO!

Ok, I was cracking up at that, and this was just as bad as when she didn't know if she was eating chicken or tuna because it was the brand Chicken of the Sea.

Yeah. She is the PRIZE. You know he isn't leaving her, b/c she was his ONE AND ONLY. She MAY leave him b/c she may become "curious"...if you know what I mean. ;)

snuggles12 09-24-2003 10:20 AM

What happenned to the maid? The room that was used to pack their clothes still looks like a disaster from the first episode.

Her buffalo wings comment-come on, Jessica. You can't be that dumb.

i dont believe that.

Gotta be a typo. A member of a boy band be a virgin? Ha!

AKA2D '91 09-24-2003 02:52 PM

Yeah, it is a typo....I meant that SHE IS/WAS A VIRGIN...NOT HIM. :o

LOL

Thanks for clearing that up, because I was like no way, and I was thinking along the lines of what lovelyivy84 said and he is from a boy band.

I know in one show he talked about her abstaining while they were dating, well do you think that he didn't find a little something something on the side while waiting for her. I mean come on now he said that they went out for 3 years before they broke and got back together and got married. I'm not saying he didn't stay faithful...but damn I'm just saying. :)

AKA2D '91 09-24-2003 05:13 PM

We aren't fools....

You know how THEY do. ;) :p

I know exactly what you're talking about! Its when he was on the playboy radio station and I thought exactly the same thing. You could tell the playmates/DJs did too.

I was like, boy, you know you had a side dish with your entree!

NOWorNEVER 09-25-2003 01:05 AM

Has anyone else noticed that they are always farting or talking about crap? Ugh, I don't know if I could have cameras on me like that all the time. One thing that was kinda gross was when Jessica, her sister in law, and a girlfriend were eating and Jessica said she had to go drop some kiddies off in the pool. One girl was like, 'some of us are still eating. the pool is closed for kids' and Jessica was like 'well i've got an adult'....funny but still gross especially when folks were tryin to eat.

Yes that was exactly the episode. Soemthing else I thought was funny was when the strippers came in he kept saying I love my wife, I love my wife.

I will be watching Oprah today. I hope Oprah doesn't ask her very tough questions. Cause if she does, that ONE lonely brain cell she has will explode!

Born Rich

I want to see this documentary when it comes on HBO. I also can't wait to see what stupid comments Jessica says today.

vanda 10-13-2003 05:24 PM

She wasn't that bad today. One comment had everyone raising an eyebrow is when she said her Mom was a stay at home mom so it was her job to pick up after her.

Jill1228 10-13-2003 05:31 PM

It comes on at 4Pm here. It is 2 PM right now!
Oh please! She is a grown assed woman! If she wants someone to pick up after her, then she needs to hire a damn maid...and pay her very well

"Raised by poodles"

I haven't been watching this show, because I'm too old for its target audience. But I liked this critique:

http://www.msnbc.com/news/978317.asp?0bl=-0

Also, as for the Rich Girls documentary, I'm not sure if I want to see it because one of them is Tommy Hilfiger's daughter. Every time I think of him, I think of "Bamboozled" and the "Timmi Hilln*****" sendup.

Mz Destiny 10-14-2003 07:41 PM

Wow...

I was listening to the show on the radio on my way home from work. I couldn't believe she said that crap!!! I mean, it's one thing to think it, but to blast your mom out, as well as other SAHM's on national TV? That was a mess! I never had to do chores, wash my own laundry or make my bed until I left for college, but you would never catch me blasting my granny, talking about that's her job! She would have knocked me out!!!

I must admit though, I find myself watching the show because it is absolutely hilarious!

****Waving @ Kiml****- That Chicken of the Sea comment was classic!

GRITS 10-15-2003 12:42 AM

Hey Everyone,
They're on Larry King right now!:)

feu_declipse 10-18-2003 01:58 AM

I'm just curious as to what their children (if any) would be like.

Would they be more sensible or even more ditzy than Jessica? Or would Jessica's mom be cleaning up after them too?

prayerfull 10-21-2003 01:46 PM

Something about Jessica Simpson's mother really rubs me the wrong. I was watching the video where she and Nick were filming the Sweetest Sin. Jessica and Nick are kissing, rubbing all over each other, etc. Yeah, I realize that they're married and all but there is something strange her on the side almost cheering them on. I don't care how old my child is or married, i'd be uncomfortable watching that.

mu_agd 10-21-2003 02:07 PM

sorry to crash..

i totally agree with you on that! i was thinking it was not right that her mom should be standing there all happy cheering them on.. but then they cut to her father talking about how they could have sex until they were blue in the face, and that freaked me out a little bit more than her mom clapping for them while making the video.. i would never want my parents to be taking about me like that, especially on tv!

feu_declipse 10-21-2003 11:09 PM

Poor Nick and Jessica

I'm watching the season finale and for some reason I feel bad for both of them.

- Jessica because she just seems so clueless, whiny and annoying. And all her belching, etc is just troubling.

- Nick because he has to put up with her antics. All he tried to do was surprise her, but she ruined it (not completely her fault) but still keep track of important things like ummm.. your passport for example. Then again, we're talking about Jessica.

- He's seems so polite and down-to-earth

- Gracious me, she just asked if Seabiscuit was racing. Mind you, that horse raced in the 1930s. But at least she knew it was a horse, not a real biscuit :)

- He went all out for their weekend. Very sweet.

prayerfull 10-22-2003 12:01 PM

Oh my....Oh my....Jessica is DUMB!

OK, so last night she wanted to cook dinner. LMAO at her trying to look through cookbooks and her pantry to come up with a shopping list. They showed the time when she started..it was 11:50...then again when she finished...2:50....WOW! Then, she shows back up at 8:30pm ready to START making dinner. Why oh why did she try and make bread FROM SCRATCH?

Making dinner is really not that tough. She could have gone an easier route. Heck, I'm a big fan of Whole Foods, which has an awesome selection of already marinated meats, prepared pastas, etc...and HELLO....garlic bread that you just have to pop in the oven.

I hear they've signed themselves on for another season.

Truly this is one woman that should be LEGALLY REQUIRED to use birth control. We're talking a shot & the pill...and they should still use a condom.
